  1. It sounds like you're using the RTE (Rich Text Editor). It makes pics and emoticons appear as they would when posted. To turn it off, click the arrow next to your username in the usernav box above, select "My Settings" and uncheck "Enable visual (RTE) editor?" then "Save Changes" and you should be back to the normal text editor.
  2. We're in a brief skin adjustment phase, so you may load a forum and by the time you view a post, see changes. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
  3. It seems to just be you. No clue why. In order to use the conversation system, if the pm you want to reply to has been deleted by either participant, it can't be replied to anymore. It's confusing to me as well. It did. <ctrl>-<f5> to REALLY reload the page and it'll appear. We ran a script to fix those after the upgrade as IPB changed some important code. Most of them took, a few didn't. Any remaining errors will have to be manually fixed, they won't heal automatically. Well, Mr. Phes skinned Pirates and I adapted most of the rest of the site and made a few new ones as well. He's always been a little more 'blown up' than me. That'll move, I have no doubt. The banners need to accommodate all of the varying screen resolutions of our visitors. 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200, 1920x1080, the list goes on forever. As a result, if we want to keep that box from blocking anything on any screen, we'd have to leave the banners blank from about 650 on (lowest resolution minus usernav size). I'm sure you can see why that wouldn't work out well. Even ignoring the lowest resolution, we'd need to leave a 150px gap at every major resolution point, which would be literally the whole screen again. There's no winning that one.
  4. Thanks! It's certainly something we're looking into, and your pic was just the kind of help we asked for. What did the old site look like on your iPhone?
  5. You can choose to read it nor or ignore it for later, it'll still be there. *deletes the calendar* FIXED! No, not really. I'm sure something can be done with it eventually. No, but I'd swear the avatars are. It's some kind of open space optical illusion. That's a possibility we'll look into.
  6. Can't find the off switch!

  7. NOTE: Sometimes it's hard to figure out what you're describing. Please take screenshots and cut them down to the effected area and post them. Thank you for helping us help you help us all. Now, let's see if I can cover some of your points without a lot of specific quoting. The box in the upper right corner is user navigation. It's a new and very integrated feature in IPB 3 that we'll all have to get used to. To be honest, I don't like it either. It's probably the single biggest thing I don't like about the upgrade, but it really isn't that bad. The vertical line between userinfo and post and the horizontal line between post and sig do need to be darker. This skin has been fixed, I'll look at the others later. The emoticons are formatted as the IPB 3 template came. I'd like to see them closer together, perhaps 4 to a row, and yes, they will be separated again or sorted in a better way. The spacing (padding) for the forum list is being checked on now. It is a lot to scroll through, but it may not be possible to reduce without making other areas too compact. We'll see what we can do. The old division between pinned and unpinned topics was removed by IPB in the upgrade. It can be restored with a great deal of effort, but the idea is that people never respond to pinned topics and often don't even read them. We've noticed that to some extent here, so they may have a point. Give it a few weeks and see if you adjust, and we'll take the same time to see how it's working out as well. The Technic post font is now considerably darker. It didn't seem that light to me, but this will certainly please everyone. "Previous Topic | LEGO History Theme | Next Topic" is a tricky problem. The new system defines certain links individually, then lumps others together in one setting. That set also controls the appearance of your username in posts, all active post links, all sig links, the topic title, the topic page # and a number of other small things. Some of those appear on light backgrounds and some on dark (in certain forums like History or Star Wars). As a result, a decision had to be made that created the best overall function. In this case, those buttons lost. The ultimate plan is to modify the templates to divide those into a new setting, but that is a very low priority compared to other issues since it's time consuming for little reward. Still, it'll be addressed eventually. Bold in places. The secondary navigation ("Eurobricks Forums > Website, Frontpage and LEGO General > Website & Forums" line) used to be bold. No clue why they decided to remove that, but it will be added back. Other instances will be found and considered on a case by case basis. Titling a post. Was that even possible before? Why? Missing tags? Post which ones, specifically, please.
  8. is keeping an eye on you.

  9. I've never seen this person before in my life. Sorry, Mary. Don't forget, you hosted a mystery which still begs the question... WHAT THE HELL IS A MAFSTRAW? Off to the chamber! Oh, wait, you could just be really slow.
  10. 1) What is your experience with mafia games, here and elsewhere? I've played a game or 10. Won a few, too. 2) What is your relationship with the Harry Potter -franchise? I dated Harry's mom for a while, but you know how it is. I'm also one of the staff members responsible for the Licensed forum where Harry lives, and as such I've shown my love and devotion for this endearing theme and those book things that they made out of it. Seriously, I've read some, I've seen some, I've bought some sets, I am a frequent reader of Irregular Webcomic... It'll be a blast, I hope I get the opportunity to experience it, or I'll have to tear this school down brick by brick! (If you need better answers, let me know)
  11. 2 points to #47: Clown (Fugazi) 1 point to #20: Skater (Noodles140)
  12. Glad they've been found. I like hunting for old sets, it's a great way to learn about all the things that came before.
  13. If you could be a little more vague... Ok, if I had to guess on a blue tow truck, it would be set 6679 from 1980 or set 6656 from 1985. ~ If you want to improve your odds, give me the likely year you received them and I'll do better.
  14. I'm sure that could be said of all contests, but they do have to end at some point, unless we extend it for 6 months. Oh, wait, in 5 1/2 months someone will just complain that they are going on vacation and need more time. Contests are a nice perk to being a member here but they can't all be customized to accommodate every single member or we'd never get to run any.
  15. Why exactly did someone need to revive it, and if so, who appointed you? Don't make identical posts in the same topic. It was moderately funny the first time, it's just annoying the second.

  19. True, but Prohibition was a friggin' freight train with everyone voting loyal and the killers only killing loyal at night and then the neutral being recruited to work with the scum. Whoever managed to orchestrate that win was a pure genius...
  20. Yay for the birthday Walrus! You know it's a special day when I dig out the old Imperial prefix. Be sure to show us the nude present pics when you're all done with the festivities!
  21. Aw, thanks everyone (well, most of you ). *pulls out a stack of notes* We stand at a crossroads. Before us, the path to greatness. *a big hook comes out and pulls me off the stage* Er, thanks! Aaaaahhhhh.....
  22. SO! Now that it's over... why did Seth die? It was the biggest confusing point of all of the nights. Insane doctor? Unless you read back a bit, there's still some uncertainty.
  23. +1 for WhiteFang +1 for Dennimator
  24. Thanks for giving this a shot. I'm not sure about the whole theme except as parts/figures, but then again, it really is just parts/figures, so that might be good if they're cheap enough. For a second I thought "AAAAAAH SPRING LEGS!" Now there's someone I'd like to see join up. He'd be right at home here.
