Creepy fox is still creepy, kind of looks like he's selling snake oil or something. *runs into the group* That's better, I herd it was safer over here with the crowd. Herd... Get it? Ok then. So, we worked together, came to a decision, and hopefully we've done a better job with this one. *crosses fingers for luck*

Boner Party On! Um...

As I'm sure many have noticed, I don't trust Pennie and Gordon's day 1 alliance. I think one of them is duping the other and have very seriously begun to believe it could be the axe killer that was responsible for two of last nights deaths. I've stated all of my reasons both in public and privately to Gordon when he contacted me, asked questions, and still can't get logical answers. I will outline all of that again briefly, even though it appears that my vote will go elsewhere today. Pennie claims a power role to Gordon. Why would Pennie do that without knowing that Gordon is town, which she couldn't. Why would Gordon believe that without knowing that Pennie is town, which he couldn't. Pennie vehemently attacks Petey, clawing for credit for both the attack and vote, even though Gordon actually made the first attack. Gordon makes a point of defending Pennie, ridiculing people for voting for her and we'll say 'indirectly' is rallying the vote for Petey. Gordon switches his own vote from Casey to Petey late in the day. Petey turns up town. Later, Gordon begins to express his frustration with Pennie (though not by name, it was obvious and he has confirmed this to me), but despite my repeated attempts to get an answer as to why he would really trust her, none seems to exist. We find out that Petey was town and Pennie disappears for most of a day, making one lame comment and then only appearing late to throw in yet another vote for a townie. Ernie and Portia make cases against Pennie and end up dead. Today we get a confusing voting analysis from Pennie, who promises to come back and explain it. Instead, Cameron analyses it, notes that if Carly was scum, as we all believe, Casey probably isn't, then reverses that whole thing and votes against her. Gordon justifies his vote for Casey by mentioning that maybe she had been saved on day 1 by the scum pushing to lynch Petey, when in reality, it was Pennie who did that, with his help. Pennie returns without making his own promised analysis (but cuts someone else down for not doing that) and places his vote for Casey without adding anything new except to say "ignore that Casey voted for Carly and it makes sense," which seems like an awfully big thing to simply ignore. And in the end, they could be right. I've certainly had my doubts about Casey, and if you take all the parts and put them together, it seems like a reasonable case, despite having to overlook Casey's vote for Carly. But Shawna, if you don't trust the accusers, why place the vote? Because I think Pennie is the serial killer and doesn't care if she gets a townie or a scum killed, which means that the whole case against Casey could be legitimate (what better way for a serial killer to hide?). I also want to formally ask that she be investigated and blocked tonight, in hopes of saving a townie (or two, like last night), and I want us to give this serious consideration tomorrow, whatever the result of today's vote. I'm kind of surprised that it hasn't been taken more seriously given how many of you have expressed suspicions already, and how many of her accusers seem to end up dead. For today: Vote: Casey Cat (Scouty) Now it's time for my dinner, it's important that I maintain a proper eating schedule and get my daily grass.

I really thought I was clear, heck, I thought it was clear without having to explain it, and then I did, and you still don't get it? Did you read the quotes? We're all searching for cultists, but did any other killing have all of that extra information attached? Was anyone else specifically looking for someone who then specifically said that they had found them? Obviously, they were looking for each other, which is much more a psychiatrist/SK type situation than a simple town/cultist situation. I never said that the trap killer was a cultist, that would make no sense given the first night, I'm sure that's our town vigilante, who has unfortunately made a couple of wrong choices, but it's a tough role, without a doubt, so it's hard to blame them and I'm sure they'll be more careful in the future. The whole point of trying to understand who is killing and why is to figure out what the cultists are doing and determine if there is a serial killer (which there clearly is). At this point, the only killing that hasn't been the trap or axe killer has been Ernie's bizarre suicide, which I interpret as some kind of drugging by the scum. If you read it carefully, you'll see that he was wandering and "somewhat dazed", which says to me that he was being influenced by something. It certainly got a reaction out of their freaky fox, who left behind a mysterious bottle. I'm willing to bet that isn't a good thing. If I had to try to figure out the mechanics of the situation, I'd say that they were required to do something for a certain amount of time before earning the ability to kill. After successfully killing someone, they appear to have been rewarded. Poison? Whatever made Ernie kill himself? Mouthwash? There's no way to tell what it is, but if it's mouthwash, I bet it's mint. It's pure speculation, but it fits the pattern, to me. Is that clearer now? If you don't mind, I'm going to move over here into the light. We sheep prefer light to shadows because of our poor depth perception. Despite that, even I could see that the axe maniac is some kind of serial killer. Geez. Seriously people, think back to the beginning of the day, it's all spelled out clearly! I may have added emphasis, since some of you can't read! There's no "find the scum killer" role in these situations, it's always a serial killer that someone is specifically tasked with finding.

Of course it was, only an Aventine pig would actually do that. Whatever will we do now that we've lost Becka? I need someone who I can trust to clip the wool back before it gets in my eyes and makes it hard to use my peripheral vision to watch for danger.

Really? I was certain it was the other way around. Specifically: I thought that made it clear that Portia was searching for someone, and that someone found her instead. Who else could that be but the SK? Why Gilbert ended up in the middle of it is a bit of a mystery, but I guess it's just because he was the one Portia suspected, so when the SK found her, it was at his house. I'd like to know who "widely believed" the opposite, or why you chose to claim that when it seems so clearly untrue. I'm still waiting on a few people to get their stories straight, then I'll weigh all that has been presented and place my vote for the day. This one is tough, we're going in a lot of directions, some seem to have a little more thought behind them, while others look like more of the same speculation that gets us nowhere. *looks around, scared* so many predators around here... I'd feel a lot safer with more sheep around.

A lot of voices talking today. As a sheep, I'm not fond of loud noises and need peace and quiet, but it doesn't seem like we're going to get that until we solve this problem, so carry on, it's for the good of the town. So, you didn't contact him until after that? Was it the next day or when? I'm getting a little confused on the timeline here. Are you saying we can't trust lions? I know our Mayor is a little off, so far he's seemed harmless enough. Have you had that problem from earlier checked out? Do you need another banana? That's what you do!
-
And lobbied to get people not to vote for Pennie, who you couldn't have had any legitimate reason to trust at that point. In the end, that was the same thing as rallying a vote against Petey. Plus I'm even more confused now. Are you saying you didn't believe in your vote for Petey, you just did it to join the bandwagon late in the day? If not, what swayed you from Casey then, that makes you suspect her now? I'm curious for more than one reason, both to see why you changed back and forth in your view and if there's something legitimate there that we need to explore. Casey has been a bit of a curiosity for me, not exactly standing out as suspicious, but certainly a bit odd and not overly helpful. To be fair, a lot of people haven't been helpful, but we have to start looking closely at some point, and this seems a good opportunity for that. Mmmm, this grass is delicious.
-
Are you meaning to confess here? You and Pennie were the two who pushed Petey so hard, both starting the accusation and the vote. Pennie pointed this out herself, proudly. I outlined my take on this situation, as did Ernie before his confusing death. Don't get me wrong, I didn't feel clear enough on the situation to vote for either of you yesterday, but Ernie did and given that we were wrong about Ralphy, I'm regretting not listening to him. Now Pennie, after contributing nothing helpful to us in the wake of Petey's death, is back making a long and confusing analysis of votes that I honestly don't follow, and you're pulling out an accusation that isn't even in her list of suspects. What happened to you two being so close, now you can't even agree on a single suspect, or do you just not want a repeat of day 1 where you're so obviously joined at the hip? Mmmm, I'm getting my appetite for grass back, maybe all this thinking is helping my stomach.

I was about to say the same thing myself, I worry when people are on the sidelines pushing others to share their thoughts, but aren't doing much of that themselves. Aren't they always hiding in plain sight, really? I'm not sure that how we're doing as a town is really any reflection on the intelligence of the scum, they just have the advantage of knowing who they can trust and we don't. Throw in a few members of the town acting suspiciously, which distracts us from finding the real scum, and all they have to do is avoid the same mistake. Despite that easy task, we've probably killed 2 of them. I think we're doing pretty well, all things considered. Oh, don't be silly, you're as much of a member as we are, just as clever and sneaky as anyone in this village, and there are quite a few more members of the club around if you look for them. I still stand by that, it's weird to me for any two people to appear to be so tied together before the first night has provided a chance for either one to investigate the other in any way. The problem is figuring out if one or both are scum or just stupid. Aaaah, a wolf! Oh, nevermind, I thought I smelled something funny and got scared. Sorry.

Holy megablocking hell. Explosives, a transformation into a tree stump, an axe killing, another axe killing, a suicide, and then we were wrong about what seemed like an obvious lynch? It's like the scum somehow saved up all of their evil and used it at once. Is that even possible? It's too much to try to absorb at once. I don't think I can eat my morning grass after all this...

That was adorable! Now stop watching, you pervs! If you're gonna watch, you're gonna pay, just like always! I love my friends. I'm just glad those are pink and white flowers and not red and white. Red and white flowers are unlucky when mixed together, you know. Whew.

What is a minifig? A miserable pile of secrets. An interesting take on the minifig situation with regards to the oversized additions. Pictures would help make your case, like an example of the "ugly little creatures," as I'm not entirely sure what you mean there.

Did you know that the number 17 is considered very unlucky? Apparently, it's XVII in Roman numerals, which is an anagram of VIXI (I have lived), a common Latin inscription on old tombstones. I didn't know that either, I learned it on the interwebs, the network of tiny silky pathways that spiders use to deliver messages. Sorry, Pablo, it seems the spiders are trying to take over your business. What? Oh, the hell if I know how to solve that puzzle either, I just thought it would be nice if we all learned something tonight and since that had to do with anagrams and luck, I wanted to share it with my friends.

You seem to have a guilty conscience to make the assumptions you're making. What I said was that it was possible that one of you was a duped townie, why do you assume that can't be you, unless you want to admit something? As for spinning it, I'm not at all. You have to admit that no protector in their right mind would do that, so if it actually happened, it makes them suspicious. It just makes you a little stupid to believe such a thing without any chance of it making sense. Is that a black cat? *runs in terror*
-
You roll your eyes at my observations, yet later you say you can't be sure if you're being duped by the person you say claimed protector. It's only now becoming odd to you when you first said it on day 2, at a time when no one could possibly have any justification to make such an admission? *passes out bells for everyone to ring*

As I read through, the things Baxter said combined with his unexpected death made me wonder if there was a connection. I was sort of thinking that either Pennie or Gordon could be the trap killer, and the other a scum working with them, or a townie being duped. I'm not sure how to prove that, as killing one wouldn't reveal the other with any certainty (since I could just be completely wrong). I still felt it needed to be presented to see if anyone else came to the same conclusion. On the other hand, there does seem to be enough reason to vote at this point. Let's hope this is the right decision. *crosses fingers* Vote: Ralphy Rabbit (badboytje88) If you have anything to say that could help, this is the time to share it, Ralphy.

Unknown Old LEGO 1x1 Elements....
Shadows replied to LEGO Historian's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Those were probably intended as an early form of tile, for covering exposed studs, but were considered too specialized. Can you imagine what the designers from that era would think of the current trend towards specialty parts? Fascinating, as always. I've told so many people to buy this that I could probably pay for the latest and final edition download to go along with the previous 2 I bought. Keep up the good work preserving the history of our favourite brick and system. -
Every good MOC has one element that stands out as the most impressive part for me, the thing I want to steal adapt for my own creations. In this case, it's that tree. The rest isn't too bad, either. Seriously, it's all amazing.

Fair enough, perhaps it is time to share a few things that have been bothering me. Since day 1, I've thought it was odd for Pennie to be so insistent that she get the credit for first accusing, then voting for Petey, who turned out innocent. It's a pretty daring thing to do, and not something you would expect out of the scum, but also not something that a smart townie would do, since no one could know anyone's alignment at that point. I went back to review day 1, as I suggested we all do, to see if something seemed out of place that maybe wasn't before. That day goes on and on with seemingly pointless rambling, but in it all, I noticed a few things. Given that Baxter was just killed for no apparent reason and the fact that it was day 1, when there really shouldn't be any strong alliances, it kind of stuck out to me. and... You'll notice that here, he's still riding Pennie for not doing what she had claimed, instead noticing that it was Gordon. There are times that you could confuse the two during the day, because they were either saying things that agreed strongly with each other, or defending each other (mostly Gordon defending Pennie once a few votes for her had appeared). Here Pennie admits that no one knows anything on day 1, but that doesn't stop her from then using that as an excuse to "take a stand and vote for them" while claiming we'd "get the most out of lynching Petey." Notice how empty those words ended up being? Did we even call him out for "being so adamant" and wrong? Did we get anything out of lynching Petey, aside from losing a town vote? If it's stupid to defend Petey, why isn't it at least as stupid to defend Pennie? Yet if you read the day, you'd think that Pennie and Gordon were married the way they back up each other's thoughts and suspicions. I don't understand trusting anyone that much on day 1, but apparently Gordon trusted Pennie that much as he attempted to sway the few votes against her. Didn't someone say that Petey had been defensive earlier in the day? What's this, if not defensive? This is evidence, 'stupidity'? Did we get any hints that I missed? *glances at her 4 leaf clover and her good luck charms* The day literally drones on from there with people making comments that Petey should relax, it isn't like there's a lynch coming, which is exactly what there was. I could quote oddities all day, but the only other one that was completely unrelated to the above villagers was Edgar's last minute vote, then unvote an hour later, which came literally an hour before the end of the day. It was almost like he wanted to make sure he didn't end up on the list of people who lynched Petey, despite his previous comment that he felt he needed to vote to prevent holding up progress (progress that I don't think we ever made from the bad lynch). So the next day, we obviously see an apology and maybe even some kind of explanation from Pennie, how could that not happen? Well, we got a total of 2 posts out of her (talk about flying under the radar after being instrumental in a bad lynch). These two: and much much later, just in time for another bad vote... I guess that's an apology? At least it's more careful consideration than her day 1 vote, it's ... jumping on the bandwagon. And that was it. Amazing that Pennie had so much time to talk one day and so little to say after the horrible results of that day were revealed. There's some stuff that bugs me. Through it all, I don't know if that's the product of stupidity or scumminess, so I present it for your consideration, maybe someone knows something I don't about all of this. You could come with us, to like, hold our purses and stuff. We might even dress you up in something frilly and get your nails painted too! Just don't walk under any ladders or anything, ok?
-
Ah, I thought you had gone back to thinking she was innocent. Well, it seems that Mr. Bulldog, er, oh... I'm sorry, Becka, you're just... so... um... maybe we could get you some better eyelashes, do your makeup and stuff. Yeah! Girls spa and beauty day! What was I saying? Oh, right, it seems Becka has already asked for your suspicions, so I guess we'll wait for that and maybe someone can step forward with any theories or observations in the meantime. Might be a good time to review past days and look for something that seems out of place now, that didn't seem so at the time? We can't just sit around hoping for something good to happen to us. Remember, luck is what you have left over after you give 100%! *passes out lucky pennies anyway*
-
With all this rain, it's certainly a good thing no one is getting married today. I'm sorry. You're fat, too. Wait, that's wrong. I'm sorry you're fat, too. That's better! Another is the problem I have here. We don't know what Carly was, but I think that most of us believe she was scum, I certainly do, so saying another at this point doesn't seem accurate. At the very least it's uncertain, yet you still seem absolutely positive that she was town, and I can't figure out how. I can't look at anyone and be certain about them, except for that lovely sheep I see in my mirror every day.
-
So, I take it I'm not the only one who is less-than-satisfied with Ralphy's answers. Is there anything you can tell us that might change that? If you really are one of us, help us make the right decision today. It's bad enough not knowing if we were right yesterday, but now it seems like we're having grasp in the dark for direction today. Baaaaa-haaaa-haaaaa-haaaaa! Daaaawww! Move! That's not lucky! You're standing on a crack! Or something! Unlucky!
-
*blinks* Wow, guess I'm lucky not to have that particular quirk, knock on wood. *knocks on wood*
-
I don't understand what you mean, the first scene seems to just be the trap killer waiting for Baxter to arrive. I do wonder if the scum killer had targeted him as well, would we see a scene with both of them in black? I dislike relying on pictures for clues, but we were specifically told that they could be there. Actually, it says they most likely aren't, so nevermind.
