We've just watched the Lego movie Scooby Doo! : Haunted Hollywood .. it's a rainy day here in the U.K. .. it was great .. the trouble is now I'm completely wanting a Drella Diabolique minifigure .. they should have totally made a Brickton Studios themed set. Kept thinking I recognised her voice and great to discover she's voiced by Cassandra Peterson who was Elvira .. brilliant. I'm guessing that's it for the Scooby-Doo range though ? Shame >_<

Another great set Robert8 .. I'm loving the Porridge Eater ( she could exchange notes with Grandma Visitor ) great work on the male cheerleader too .. I still love the Toy Maker from a previous series and the Scarecrow Lady is a prefect counterpart to the Scarecrow .. hopefully if the Lego group see these they may make some of them.

Browsing the UK Lego website last week I noticed that the Disney minifigs now say 'retired product' .. seems like a very short release time T_T

Thinking of other ways to incorporate some of the other minifigs .. Peter Pan flies round the castle and evades the clutches of Captain Hook .. just had a thought that I hope they might include Tiana and Naveen in series 2 then the 2 frogs can transform back into their humans forms ^_^

Another question .. how are people attaching Tinkerbell to the castle I managed to work something out but just wondered how others had done it ?

Alsielou .. I just saw your post so dashed upstairs and took these for you .. Donald and Daisy are on the 'Brave' balcony as you put it .. and from a normal view you can only just see the tops of their heads. Smaller minifigs like the Ducks do just fit in to the clock tower balcony though Hope this helps

One of my plates was slightly warped .. but by the time everything else was added to it it was fine .. I found I had a 1x1x4 high light blue/grey brick and was paranoid I'd missed putting it in somewhere ! Glad Lego sorted the plates for you

Loved building this .. I am still a little bit saddened that it's a 'doll house' style on the back yet was really impressed by lots of the mini builds in the castle ( the magic mirror, the grandfather clock ) The engineering behind this was brilliant .. the way a lot of the pieces are 'turned' and attached to create the architecture of the turrets etc. If they made Sleeping Beauty's castle I think I'd be prepared for buying that too .. and as xboxtravis said the castle itself is smaller than Cinderellas so could perhaps be cheaper than this one. My castle has found its home for display and has a light globe behind it that is colour changing ( or static colour ) couple of pics day / night [/url]

I'm loving building this .. I'm enjoying it .. taking my time apart from I got most of the minifigures out of their respective bags .. except I couldn't find Donald's hat .. so when I discovered there was a spare tiara from the princess and the frog part .. I just couldn't help myself .. sorry Donald ^_^

It does seem strange that The Little Mermaid has a pumpkin in the kitchen .. I'm not disputing the pictures on the box .. but I think most of us assumed it was Cinderella's kitchen .. perhaps a pan with fish in it from the Les Poisonns song would have helped ? Tomorrow is the day here in the UK ^_^

I'm loving the toy maker .. he reminds me so much of Benny Hill in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang .. they're all great but he's my fave ^_^

@a11Mark .. yes I phoned my local Lego store ( Meadowhall ) just over a week ago .. it's released on August 17th for VIP members ^_^

Again some good points .. I think this is geared more towards AFOL's rather than kids ( but who knows ! ) .. the magic carpet hanging on the wall on the lower floor obviously from Aladdin so we have Aladdin in minifig form, Genie in minifig form and Jasmine in mini doll form .. the two styles just don't mix for me .. they don't look good together .. Im gonna hope Jasmine may appear in the next series ^_^

I wish the guy who built the mechas would release the instructions ( I doubt he could sell them ? ) The minifigures seemed to have a very short initial shelf life .. I bought the last 7 that they had at a grocery store here in the UK for my niece .. she was with me .. we got Maleficent, Alice, Alien, 2 Mr Incredible and 2 Daisy ! She was pleased overall ^_^ Hopefully the rooms in the castle indicate future minifigs O_O

I've read the mini doll ideas a few times and this is only my opinion but I just don't think Lego ( and Disney to an extent ) would mix the two .. my personal preference is minifigs and I'm hoping the rooms in the castle are an indication of minifigures yet to come ^_^

Called in my local Lego store on Sunday July 24th ( Meadowhall UK ) to see what was new .. not a single Disney Minifigure pack to be seen anywhere O_O !!

I called my neraest Lego store on Monday ( I just couldn't help myself ) I spoke with a girl who I've spoken to a few times before but I can't recall her name ( sorry ) but she's been really helpful in the past and reserved me a Ghostbusters Headquareters on its release day so I wouldn't have a wasted journey .. she's brilliant ! So she tells me that early release for VIP members on August 17th ( general release on September 1st ) and when I asked her if she could reserve me one again so I wouldn't have a wasted trip she said I'll just check with a manager .. she returned and said call on the release day and it shouldn't be a problem ^_^

Thanks all .. I didn't think about the London bus being for Big Ben .. makes perfect sense now .. the Goofy polybag would be a very welcome addition ^_^ .. countdown timer set here ha ha

So is The Disney Castle still going to be released early to VIP's do we think ? The calendar says there's early access to a set August 17th to 31st ?? Lego don't like giving much away do they .. I thought when I buy the castle there's sure to be a free gift of some sort .. but noooo the London bus set finishes on August 15th .. thanks Lego !! Perhaps they should have made the parade floats ( as a free gift with purchase surprise ! ) that were featured when the CMF's were released .. that might make a great addition to the set ? Anyone planning on MOC'ing them ?

I've just been watching a couple of videos on YouTube,most of them are just thoughts along with the press release pics .. and then something hit me ... Does anyone else think that the 2 minifigure knights could be a nod to Bedknobs and Broomsticks and the Substitutiary Locomotion segment ??

Wondering if the Tangled room could have had an artists palette and brush ( series 4 minifig ) in the chest .. it's where Rapunzel used to keep them ?

I wondered today ( while the machine I work on was broken ! ) I've seen someone mention getting 2 sets and making the back of the castle .. but the castle is different at the back isn't it ? Wonder if someone will MOC the back to join up with this set ? Love to see how that might look .. sadly I don't have the skill : ( lol Right I'm off to watch the designer video now I'm home : D EDIT .. I think the 3 cookies for the Brave section are meant to be for Meridas 3 brothers ? Weren't they always stealing goodies from the castle kitchens ?
