The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion
NDLG80 replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Just wondering if anyone here has attempted or completed any custom builds of any of the Apoclypseburg vehicles or anything featured later in the movie that hasn't been released? I'm personally trying to modify my Bad Cop car to match the one Scribble Cop was being carried down the street in.. Would love to see what better master builders have done or are working on!! -

3 full sets per Lego Movie 2 CMF box confirmed via Bricksanity in the UK.... NO CHASER!! :-) Might need to get google to translate page though as it was posted on a German site :-) https://www.promobricks.de/lego-71023-minifiguren-sammelserie-figur-3x-box/74913?fbclid=IwAR3sF4mFn0XqBi_uir-Ykt3DowrNauKvSvAVpXjkzfSXRpnJBxMfux4JmLQ -

Can anyone else who has seen the CMF boxes instore (or who has bought a sealed box) confirm whether Benny is a chase for this set or if in fact there is a chase minifig at all?? Still waiting for them to be released here in Australia.. -
Thanks heaps @koalayummies :-) I originally wanted to build Emmets Apartment interior a couple of years ago, but ended up doing the whole building instead... So finally made it back to doing the interior... Yeah I agree a heap of good scenes happen in the tower....I did my best to squeeze as many as I could into my tower without having to build it taller...

Love the Popcorn credits scene @Xon67 Here is a 98% completed Emmets Apartment interior which is close to movie scale, I just squashed the hallway down a little to fit onto 48 studs wide base... All thats needed now is to finish tiling the shower area and attach the piping in the bathroom and I'm done... This was a set where I had to break the rules and use a bunch of double sided clear tape to attach some floating parts together (including the shower wall tiles), however I dont mind if it helps it looks closer to the movie version.. Also found some of Emmets poster designs online and did the rest in photoshop to fill the space with some cool custom stickers :-) @CopperTablet how is your Apartment interior modular scale coming along? Well I finally took some photos of my custom Lord Business Octan Tower Modular that I built recently... I tried to cram as many little scenes from the tower in there with loads of minifigs to make the scenes comes alive.... Lighting kit added on each floor to show all the cool details. All I need to do is add some relics for the bottom floor to complete the build.... Thanks for the link @Xon67, I remember seeing some part collecting photos for the build and was curious if it was ever built in part or whole. It’s not something I’d ever try building, however was impressed by what you guys had done in LDD and is always more impressive to see something in real bricks :-) Hoping I have something new to post soon in my Bricksburg builds..

@BlackStar I was just thinking the other day about the full scale Emmets Construct O Mech you are building and was wondering if you ever ended up getting close to completion as I'd love to see the real world build as I'm sure it would be a beast :-) Was anyone else attempting this in real bricks @Xon67??

Hey @CopperTablet... Yeah there were a few things on the roof for both the Fresh Fruit Market and Mrs Scratchenposts buildings, however opted to leave them out as it makes it easier to fit onto the shelves height-wise when there isn't much sticking up from the roof.... :-) I did start collecting parts for the roof bits and pieces but left them out in the end....

Thanks @CopperTablet :-) It is a cool build, it has definately added alot of colour into my Bricksburg modular range. @Xon67 Haha.... I was working on 4 at one time, however will have a break from modulars for a bit I think as I have the coolest looking ones to accompany Emmets apartment building so far :-) Will certainly get a photo with them all together when I can... Would love to display at another local brick show when there is one close enough to where I live as I have a heap more built since last time I displayed :-) My next project is the movie scale Emmets Apartment interior.... I had wanted to build it for a long time, and finally decided to use Yellowish Green as the interior walls which is the closest to whats used in the movie. :-) After that I am going to be slowly working on how to make the Master Builder Submarine in real bricks which will be a big but fun project :-)

Thanks for the insight on the build @Xon67 :-) Just from the images so far I have checked Bricklink to find a bunch of parts that don't exit in those colours (as we knew would be the case), so I would have to search for the closest looking part that does exist in trying to replace them... What an amazing build if all can be converted to real bricks :-)

@Xon67 Can I say AWESOME!!!!! again?? :-D :-D This is such a stand out build from everything else from the movie, so much awesome detail and colours... Do you think this could be built without stability issues as I'd definately love to give this one a try :-)
-
AWESOME!!! @Xon67 Looks amazing, one of the coolest builds in the Lego Movie world.... Something I'd love to build to complete my Lego Movie 1 set collection, however 3300 parts (not including internal supports) Wow, what an expensive beast it would be ;-) Very curious to see the other side details and if there is room for a double decker couch inside ;-) Thanks for sharing!!

Love these mini builds @Xon67 In line with Benny's enthusiasm... SUBMARINE!!! SUBMARINE!! SUBMARINE!!! Please share multiple angles of the sub once done if possible to do as well? :-)

Another Bricksburg modular building complete with help from @Xon67 :-) Joe the Plumber's apartment building was obviously a modification of the Market Street official set, and if you ask me a better version... Hi @CopperTablet As you probably have noticed and as I have certainly discovered in doing real brick builds of some of these designs, is that they used colours on bricks in the movie that don't exist in real Lego bricks... In my build (based on @BlackStar awesome design) I was able to do the build fine using just Light and Dark Bluish Grey with white.. I tweeked a few parts and colours to make it easier on my spending for the build, but pretty much looks the same :-) In regards to part 41533, that was a challenge for me as there were very few available through Aussie Bricklink stores, however ended up sourcing 4 black ones in the end, which suit the build and close enough to the movie I think :-) Good luck with attempting your real brick version :-)

Thanks @Xon67 I know the exterior design is super basic, however wanted to use as much of the 32x32 base as I could and have it fit next to other modulars and knew this would use alot of parts so I cut down where I could... Sadly no vortex, however I have started adding some nice jagged rocks and tiny bit of water around the base to break up all the black and red :-) Hoping to complete the physical build over the next week or two if possible....

@Xon67 OOooo I look forward to whats in store for your Cloud Cuckoo Land builds.... Does this mean we might .....see.... the....... SUBMARINE???? :-) :-) :-) Please do the mid sized version as that'd be a cool one to try and replicate :-) Awesome work mate as always!!

Finally finished the design on my custom Lord Business Octan Tower modular... Here is a basic render of the outside of the build :-) I have crammed heaps of details with loads of minifigs inside and removeable front for the option of displaying the interior... I will share once the physical build is complete. Just waiting on a few parts and a lighting kit before completing the 4000 part modular.. I was originally inspired my the official Lord Business Evil Lair set, which was very lacking, but I I like the idea of, so I had set up a display on a 48x48 baseplate with a heap of scenes/minifigs featured in the tower, however wanted to add more detail, so this little project came along... Stay tuned..... ;-) Octan Tower Modular (WIP2) by Nath D, on Flickr

@Xon67 Haha.... your creations are always the best, I just thought I'd do a quick render of the mid sized logo after hearing the great news of the sequel announcement :-) Really hoping the second movie is as good as the first even though Phil Lord and Christopher Miller aren't directing this one.... 10 months to go for us Aussies who get the movie 6 weeks later than the US and UK :-(
