  1. Got my Impulse entry corrected. My compliments to Dreamweb. That entry was a little similar to my original impulse set. But it was going to be a lot similar cause that was almost exactly how I was going to re-do my training dummy. Then I saw that entry and knew I had to go a different direction.
  2. Waitaminute! Then my impulse set I submitted won't work! D'oh! Hope I can get it corrected in time.
  3. This was my solution to the problem... A minifig hand holding the musket with the wrist through the guard on the sword. A pirate hook works also but hands are more plentiful.
  4. New for 2009... LEGO PIRATE VS NINJA Inspired by recent movies and pop culture LEGO Pirate VS Ninja offers a wide array of characters and settings- pirates, ninja, weapons, ships, and firing cannons! Classic LEGO construction theme re-envisioned for the 20th anniversary of the original Pirates line. Vague storyline allows you to decide who is good and who is evil and who will win the ultimate battle! Impulse entry: Treasure Defender features a lone pirate to guard the gold! But this pirate is armed with a sword, a pistol and a spyglass to watch for targets on the horizon. Includes one mini-figure, treasure chest with coins, weapons and one firing cannon. 25 pieces (plus one mini-figure) MSRP $5.99 USD
  5. This sounds like a fun chalenge. Couple of questions: Can gold coins count as one piece if they are still connected (to that "runner" thing, the way they come in a set) or does each coin have to be counted seperately? The rules allow for digital entries but what about digitally altered entries? For instance: could a head be digitally altered to have a new face and not be counted as an additional piece like a decal?
  6. Congrats to both Benk and Bonaparte for their fantastic entries. It made voting extremely difficult for me. Thanks to everyone who voted for me. With all the other great entries I didn't expect to do so well. Thanks also to Captain Green Hair for the fun contest. Huzzah for the new Pirate King!
  7. Here be me entry: The new Islander's War Catamaran. I got the idea for the bone cage from some pirate movie I saw once (more like 50 times). More images at MOC Pages. or Brickshelf when I get them loaded there.
  8. Alright, here's another picture for you folks. Thanks for all the positive comments, they're really motivating me to get this thing finished!
  9. Just thought I'd offer a preview of my latest pirate MOC, the HMS Repentance. Nearing completion the crew is anxious to climb aboard. I still need to detail the interior, make the sails and add all the rigging. A few more photos can be seen over at: My Webpage Enjoy!
  10. Actually I found that the problem was AOL. Once I tried it in Internet Explorer I've had no problems. D'oh! Note to self: Put breasts on every contest entry.
  11. Still trying to post... Thanks to everyone who voted for me!
