A heavily modified Starspeeder 3000, believed to be stolen from the Star Tours travel company. Now owned and opperated by the bounty hunter Sephara Vaim. The ships TT-8L droid guards the boarding ramp. Cool shots of the interior: Cargo hold looking back towards the hyperdrive. A look into the cockpit. Built for the FBTB.net MOC Madness 2010 Building Tournament, and as a tribute to the Disneyland ride. See more photos at flickr or MOCPages. And be sure to check out all the cool ships in the Tournament.

Here's the latest from Major Brickmore: Attacked by the Martian Sand Squid! Flare- There's plenty of unexplored Victorian Space for all! Join today. Mookage- John Carter sets could be cool. Mmmmmm, Princess.

Thought I'd share something I threw together last night. In August of 1898, Major Brickmore and his squad had to march across the Martian terrain after their landing rocket crashed several kilometers away from the regiments landing zone. The terrain was a re-use of my Medium Epic Scenes contest entry Inspired by the Mars of classic literature (as seen in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol. II) More pics can be seen here: MOC Pages

Thanks for the comments everyone! I'm glad the droid is a hit, I didn't really care for the design in the cartoon but knew the top of the MOC needed something. I corrected the color of the first photo so that it looks whiter.
-
Thanks! Ya, I would have needed a lot more LEGO pieces to make the reactor shaft meters deeper. Not too terribly inaccurate, I hope. I could stack your MOC on top there and it'd be perfect!

UV light. I updated the first pics to the final version.

Aboard the second Death Star, a weakened Darth Vader hurls the evil Emperor down a reactor shaft to save the life of his son Luke. Though this act redeems him from the Dark Side, he has been mortally wounded from Palpatine's Sith lightning. "I never forsaw this!" "Not again!" Imperial officers learn of their impending doom from this holographic projection. "Open the blast doors! Open the blast doors!" Stormtroopers try to reach a shuttle bay to escape but find they may be too late. One foolish trooper diving through the closing doors will not be stopped! "The crystal is the heart of the blade." -Luminara Unduli While not exactly an Epic scene, I wanted to do something I hadn't seen before and thought the Crystal Cave on Ilum would be cool. This comes from Chapter 14 of the first animated Clone Wars series. Here in the Crystal Cave, where the crystals used in a Jedi's lightsaber are grown, Barriss Offee constructs her lightsaber using the force while Luminara looks on. Unknown to the two Jedi, Separatist chameleon droids have landed on the planet intent on destroying the crystals. I know, in the cartoon Barriss Offee is surrounded by blue crystals and uses one to construct her blue-bladed lightsaber but I used the green ones instead cause they glow cool in UV light. Thanks so much! There seems to be some confusion, the glow effects aren't added in Photoshop. That glow is there when I photograph the model. I only used Photoshop to achieve what a traditional film camera could do called a double-exposure, where one picture is taken and then without advancing the film a second picture is taken. Since that isn't possible with my digital camera I used Photoshop to combine two photos, one with the lights on and one with just the UV light. Here is a picture with the lights on and unedited (other than resized): MOCPages Okay, now I have to get back to work on another entry!

Looks great! But you can totally tell that's Luke's stunt-double. No tan body parts? Otherwise, nice Job.

Okay, here it is with a few improvements. MOCPages

Thanks for the replies and input everybody. The first picture is actually two pictures combined, one taken in normal light and the second one with UV light (makes the trans-orange glow). Then they're combined in Photoshop. That is Bib Fortuna's head. I used it cause of his red eyes, like Anakin had as he was burning with hate, and fire. I left the hover-platform out because it wasn't in the picture I referenced and I was going for accuracy. But if you all think it would add to the MOC I'll see about building one.

Taking Anakin's lightsaber, Obi-Wan laments the end of his best friend as he burns to death. Comments welcomed. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/206909 My Small Epic Scene entry My Large Epic Scene entry EDIT: Updated per KimT's reminder.

Thanks everbody for the positive responses! I needed something to do with all my pirate hooks and so my bayonet was born. I hadn't actually noticed the squareness before. That's just the way I did it at the time, but now that you pointed it out it kind of bothers me too. I'll have to see if I have the right pieces to change it. Thanks! No, I don't have the DUPLO chains just the anchors. The recent Captain's Cabin contest has given me some ideas for the interior that I'll try to start working on again, when I can find some time.

007 5 points! I Scream Clone 2 points! 007- All those details, magnificent! A couple questionable color choices (yellow and sand green?) but that map and the wine rack are fantastic! I Scream Clone- Wonderful concept. Love the wrecked remains and the organ is pretty good. Honorable mentions: Honeybee- I wanted to give you some points. I was drawn in by the skeleton pirates. Great floor. I think a little taller walls and a slatted roof with some overhead lighting would have given this one some kick! Good job. Gettobread- Great lookin' kitchen! Reminded me of the first "Monkey Island" game. Good work everyone!

79c Just wanted to let you all know I got some updated pictures taken of my ship I previewed here over a year ago. I still haven't finished sewing all the sails but the crew was anxious to get underway. The cloth sails can be reefed. And yes, those are LEGO anchors, pilaged from the DUPLO pirates. More pics of it over here: MOCPages Thanks for looking.

How about something like this one by MicahBerger from Brickshelf? It's one of the best ones I've seen. Check out his Brickshelf gallery for more pics: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=292433

1) 31. Fat Tony - We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot.... 2) 2. DNL 3) 32. SirNadroj - The Pillaging of Neptune's Noggin Lagoon Fat Tony- Best lighting. A MOC can be photographed on something other than white. DNL- Almost more Castle than Pirate, but I loved all the details. Great job! SirNadroj- Always innovative!
