  1. Ah yes, I only found out about set 6610 last year, I never knew it existed but it would make sense. Maybe it was possible the tow truck was a supplement for an already existing set like 6610 or even the older 377 petrol station.
  2. There are no resistors or anything in the adaptor plates it is just an extension so the motor can pick up the current from the bottom of the track but they do rattle and move to adjust for the gradients of the track, the original train 12volt motor has the same things on the bottom of it too, they are just another way of getting power up from the rails just like the wire from a battery box. Be careful on Brick-link buying those motors you can see the numbers on the top but there were some sellers sellling 4.5volt motors for 12volt I got stung with that one, and I have quite a few 4.5 motors now. When you run them on the track remember to turn the power knob up side down this is so you can safely run 4.5volt motors on it, but honestly I haven't noticed anything wrong with running them on 12volts just not continuously I suppose they wouldn't like that. I hope this helps!.
  3. Hi! I was looking through my old Lego town sets and I came across this one that I had forgotten about, its the 1981 set '6628 Shell tow truck'. Now I like this set because it was one of the first sets I had when I was little and I ended up having three of them for some reason, but the set is perfect a perfect size for a mini figure except it doesn't come with one when all the other sets from that period did. I am wondering if any one can shed some light on this or knows why?
  4. This is a good MOC with a good atmosphere about it, I love the close up pic of the Bounty hunters face with the sun behind!.
  5. What a fantastic MOC!. With all those brown's too you surly made it all come together really well. I love the Stage coach!..
  6. What a neat little shunter!. I always like little shunter's like this, a nice compact design but looks bulky enough to get the job done good work.
  7. That's a neat little shunter I like the way you've got the red and white stripes on it and the rear lights on the cab roof. would be nice to see it in action though. Great build, Brick On!
  8. Nice little MOC, but who and why is Uncle Evil being attacked by bandits?
  9. Nice I remember this colour when I was little, nice MOC. For the front blue doors wouldn't using the blue and yellow doors from set '7710' be more useful? Love to see it when it's fully built.
  10. That's a nice yard, I like all the little details with the painter and roof on the old shed. Great MOC 'cimddwc' I'd love to see your complete train set up if you have one.
  11. Ah okay that could be of use. Is it good for all colours of Lego? and where do I buy it from?.
  12. Hi I think this would be the right place to post this but if anyone doesn't agree please move to the appropriate section. I read on here somewhere about cleaning white and Gray Lego pieces with bleach using a mix of 50% Bleach and 50% water. I tried this at first on a selection of old white (more like yellow) bricks and left them for about 12hours, the results were different but the Lego bricks were still yellow. So I decided to try the bleach neat, 100% bleach with no dilution, I didn't know what would happen to the plastic if it would be alright or what. So I set the next batch of bricks in the bleach and originally I was going to leave them for 12 hours again, but I forgot and got them out around 24hours later. Now to my surprise the bricks were completely white and no sign yellowing at all, almost to the point were they were identical to new pieces of Lego. Also I do not know what the long term effects of this process is yet. I have only tried this on the white colour and shall also try on the other colours Gray being the next but I will be taking close and regular observations so as not to loose the colour constancy of the bricks, might try blue (green) as well. Hope this is of use to anyone, and if there is any long term affects that are known please let me know. Thank you Gareth
  13. Thanks roamingstudio, It give's me more of an incentive to get my set up complete.
  14. Hello, just curious has anyone yet had the chance to try out the new track in a proper set up?. As I would be interested to see the pictures of it and if there's a video of it being used. Also how solid is it and would any one recommend it for replacement of the 12volt plastic Gray rails, to combine the two systems. I would do it my self but finance issues and the fact that I am no where near completing my set up yet makes it difficult for me to do so. Look foreword to your replies thanks Gareth.
  15. Nice to see the Mearsk train in a layout, and it's also good to see the old 4.5 track being put to good use with all the modern track. Great layout, but i bet you have to be really careful not to step on any parts though.
  16. Look's good so far, I like the Idea of the corrugated roof and the rat under the structure. Do you have any pics of the actual buildings? that way we can get a better idea as to what it should look like. Great building so far though, Brick on!
  17. Cool they are good. I especially like the way the lights go when the train is moving (reminds me of the beginning of Akira) 12volts are the best!.
  18. They look really good, I like the use of chrome heads for the visors.

Have you introduced your self yet?.
  20. Hello JasonM and welcome back. Hope you enjoy all the good information on this site and the fantastic MOC's.
  21. LEGO Train 12 volts, that is an awesome station and i especially like the little 'Pump Truck'(Palletiser). I am also looking forward to your third episode of your setouts. Instructions would be brilliant.
  22. It's not just the 9volt community, 12volts too it seems that this is finaly what we've been waiting for to combine the two systems. Where do you get that alufoiltape from, model shop's? that would be good for the 12volt points and crossings.
  23. Does the 9volt system have crossed tracks? I know they have points but not really paid attention to the 9volt set up. this news has really opened up a lot more options thanks ME Models!.
  24. That's a good Moc very red.
  25. If that's the case how did 'Enlighten' get moulds for the brown track that they produce.? or have they just made a cast off an existing rail.
