  1. Hi folks just to let anyone know who might be interested, that I am selling the Lego Castle kids 1 book The Robber Baron on E Bay just posted the listing today. So if there are any classic collectors out there then you might like it, it's in good condition and printed in English.
  2. I like the cold assault troops, reminds me of Metal Gear Solid. Great Customs
  3. Thank you brickie, It does look like a nice set, cool. I think that I'll try and replicate this set with the help from BL. Glad there's an inventory, thank you!.
  4. Hi, does any one know where I could find any instructions or even information on this set '1049', it does not appear on Peeron and I only came across this set when I was looking at boat hull pieces on BrickLink. I am interested by the three boats on the picture and would like to know more about it and how to build them being more into the classic sets that is.
  5. Yes I can see the reason for the wall being so low now, I never noticed the wall on '6081' but now it's been mentioned that's the same with the slope of the base plate making up most of the wall, it kind of makes sense. I should get round to taking pictures of my castles some time I have more of the 1980 castle sets then the other later ones though.
  6. That's a good collection, I've started to sort out my old castles and purchase new ones too. I see that you have the '6090 Royal Knights castle', I have recently purchased this one too but when I finally got round to building it I was a bit taken aback. The castle seems to not be finished off properly compared to most of the others that I have '6080 kings castle' for example. There seems to be lots of holes around the ramps and lack of rear walls. Do you find this to be the same with all the later castles compared with the earlier ones?.
  7. Good likeness, what piece did you use around the wrists of the minifig?.
  8. I liked the film, the way every thing moved smoothly and the way there was no talking in it, to slow it down. I think that you did a great job, and the animation was really good. You should make a whole series of films like this fairy tales for example, it worked really well in my eyes. Thank you for sharing this with us.
  9. This is a really neat MOC!!. I always like to see eastern oriental Mocs and the way you can use custom parts to make them look more authentic and get the feeling across. How long is it?, and it must come apart for you to move and store it?, any way fantastic work will you be making any more like this?.
  10. I voted 'A' because in keeping with the more original designs, still they all look pretty cool though.
  11. Nice these are good customs, I like the eagle it makes them look a lot more authentic in my opinion and the colour scheme goes well too. It's always good living in Europe because you can get ideas off your local towns and history, keep up the good work.
  12. Medieval / Knight body armour, more designs and variation than the limited products around. The Great Helms that brick forge make are great, but there needs to be more breast plates that cover the minifigs torsos. There seems to be plenty of military vests. Even the breast plates with the neck peices incorporated would be a good start.
  13. Thanks guys, it looks like some of the 'Minifig.cat' products are for sale on Bricklink, so wouldn't that make them Lego customs?. Still they have nice looking Samurai armour on there.
  14. Hi, I was looking at the castle sets and thought how limited the Breastplate body armour choices were, now I know that there are a couple of independent manufactureres of after market breastplates such as 'Brick Forge' and 'Brick TW'. My questions was is there any other producers of Lego medieval body armour?
  15. Yes!, thank you for bumping this thread up. Those pictures are truly awe inspiring, and like the ideas book gives you good inspirations for your own mocs.
  16. That's a romantic idea, I had the same thought about the crown knights a while back, that they could of been the successors (or survivors) of the classic castle sets. If they were the Crusaders I always thought they would of been made up of all the Lion factions and the body's with the crossed axes could would of been soldiers from the other factions that would of possibly been Crown or the other knight's featured from the classic sets '375'. This theory would be because they are on a crusade they would have to wear the same or similar colours, then when they finished the crusade they went back home to all the other factions that came out after. That's my take on it and the castle does look very similar to '6080' maybe on the crusade they were inspired and build it to a similar specification as '7946' which would of been the original.
  17. Phew Thank you for the help, everyone
  18. There was a weird thread in the historic themes category!? it was a post but all in Russian and with a picture of Justin beeber. When I clicked off it and then back on again it came up sorry you are not authorised to look at this post, and then it was gone. It was posted at 01.25 British time. What was this post? what does it have to do with Lego and why did it just vanish? Could some one please shed some light on this weird thing?. Gareth
  19. I like the articals, this is my Favourite time for castles the 1980's it seems like it was the best time for Lego in a whole too!. They are very informative and I like the shots of the box photo's, shame they didn't put the photos on the instruction sheet. Good work
  20. The Decals are good and I prefer your interpretation better than the originals. This is good info on finding the stickers, I have been watching a seller on E bay he seems to have a few sheets very similar to yours but they go for around £10 to £20 at auction. I've been thinking of biding for my castle but seeing you do some have you ever thought about making some sheets and selling them?
  21. This is a great MOC, I like the Gladiator mini fig he's one of my favourets. That's a very cleaver way of making a really large looking set out. It would be good to mix the gladiator with the Roman mini figure from series 6 when it comes out, you could make more historical scenes. Great Moc and very well thought out
  22. Just a quick question, Are the new Crown Knights supposed to be the same faction as the crown knights from set '375' ?
  23. Thanks guys, those are nice looking castles I especially like 6080 in yellow it makes it look a bit brighter. It seems that the classic castle looks a bit to plane made out of Gray bricks, I think that I will stick with making mine yellow after all.
  24. Hi I've been looking at the old yellow classic castle recently and I've been wondering has any body built it out of Gray bricks instead? It's a good looking castle and I like the yellow but I think Gray would look good too! Does anyone have any information o it being done?. Thanks
  25. I'm not to sure if this is the right area to post this, but as I was looking at the reviews of all the Lego castles in the Historical themes section I got to the Classic Castle ( the yellow one). The picture didn't say review needed so I clicked on it the have a read but instead of showing me a review of the castle it takes me straight back to the front page. Why do you think this is?, does the Castle have a review or is it an error? Wonder if this happens to anyone else?.
