  1. Hmh, don't stretch it too far out guys. Its the older GT3 RS in Green i think... you can even make out the "GT3 RS" Lettering as a sticker or so . I also think that its a old iteration based on an, back then, existing older GT3 RS .
  2. they probably follow the rule of IT: "The best way to work with timezones is to do not"
  3. Thats also the vibe i get from this model. It does leave room for improvements.
  4. True, but i think it's also a choice for the style.
  5. No, my guess is that there are several printed parts, like this wheel arch, wheel hub piece, and the porsche emblem on the steering wheel. Simply because thouse are parts/stickers that are not easy to apply. Other than that i think everything else is a sticker. The GT3 RS lettering also is a sticker, which is visible on some other photos of the car.
  6. I suspect that you will be able to operate the shifters quite easily through the windshield.
  7. I think that the Orange, while not true to the real one, stil looks very pleasing to eye. You do not grow tired of it.
  8. Photographing it at weird angles/POV's is just simply easier in CGI. Also it allows for much more stuff you can do with the images/models.
  9. I agree. Coming from a similar buisness... the thing is finished. It's getting rolled out and saved up at their factories atm. The Video maybe was made a few days before it was released, so maybe they haven't had finished their box-art. But they most likely have finished it by the day the video was released.
  10. What I find amazing is that even sites like TopGear are promoting it as "lava Orange" wich it clearly isn't. They've even put on edited images http://www.topgear.com/car-news/supercars/you-need-lego-porsche-911-gt3-rs with the orange colours turned up to fit the "lava-orange". This makes me sad as it clearly shows how they're trying to misguide people into believing that the model has the same colour as the real car.
  11. Yeah, i also doubt that it will be limited.
  12. Where did you find those images? NVM, they're from the lego.com technic page.
  13. After a night of sleep I also think that the price 299€ is too much for what we get. To me the instructions with the informations about the real car are really interesting and i'm willing to pay a bit more for it. But with such a pricetag i'd have expected at least the bricks to be in real lava-orange. The Lego Orange looks neat tough. I also think that the set will be a great base model for modifiying, but we have to wait how the new parts hold up to what they should do. Did someone with more technical knowledge analyse the new hubs?
  14. Wow, i've just noticed in the video that they combined the regular instructions with some descriptions regarding the same functions in the real car. Awesome.
  15. It looks great, but i really think that the interiour leaves some room for improvement. Also i was right about the adjustable rear spoiler. (ha :D)
  16. Could be, i guess they include instructions for maybe a Cayman or so, should be possible to build from these parts.
  17. To me PF doesn't make sense for Display-Models, so i also think that the porsche won't have it. Why have these things in a set that will sit on the shelf most of it time anyway? For the batteries to go bad? Just throw in some mechanical functions that teach younger builders (or in this case experienced ones too) some new stuff and that are enjoyable to operate while on shelf.
  18. Besides the logo imprinted i only could see a orange plate printed with the 911 GT3 RS Writing on it to come. The real car does not have a very complex livery so why would there be printed pieces/sticker? And even if, there won't be a load of it.
  19. omg i need it! I can't wait :( The Orange looks a bit different, could be because of the heavy editing in the image. So the livery will be orange, its also noticable in the Video.
  20. I believe they told the media etc. and visitors at the toy fair that the colours of exterior and interior are subject to change.
  21. Try motorizing the middle wheels of each side with one M motor, and connecting the steering of the model to a servo motor. That should be the easiest way. By the looks of it there is room enough in the model itself for the Motors atleast. Don't know about the Batterybox tough, if you have the train-battery i'd use that one since its a bit smaller. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Power-Functions-AAA-Battery-Box-88000
  22. We don't, it seemed just likely to most of us for them to reveal something there. So it was speculated.
  23. You're right, i've never noticed it before on the pictures i've seen of it. I'm sorry, guess we can forget about it on beeing a 911 991 GT2.
  24. But the yet unveiled new 911 991 GT2 will most likely look closer to it, only with turbo intakes and Spoiler. It is very likely based on how the roof of the cabin looks, that it is not resembling the old GT3, as the newer 911's feature the flat part, as does the lego model in both roof and the hood.
