By the way they market it its most likely not a limited set, its exclusive as to the deal with porsche, but not limited in numbers. They want to cash in as much as possible and gain as much as possible attention from real-car enthusiasts. The amount of possible combinations of the unique plate should far exceed the number of sets that will ever be produced of this set.

This just went online, its a time-lapse build from Auto Bild.

I think it looks relatively good, but the car looks meh from certein angles which lego purposely (i guess) hides.

Auto Bild has finished their build. Responses of viewers so far are: - "How many steps does the instruction have?" - "Well its not a beauty, looks more like a crash-test car" and also the well known "300€ is too much for it responses" I'd say that there are more negative comments than positive ones.

Not only that, but there are acutally 2 Inner Arches aswell on the front, so you get 4 unprinted ones.

The Price for sure is Ultimate, so the model should be too.

Well its mostly marketed towards "wo this looks like the real thing" and "heyyy the cylinders in the engine actually move" and not to "is the steering geometry like in the real car? Is it a real Boxer engine?" Calling it an Ultimate is very misleading, since it definetly isn't ultimate from accuracy to the real thing standpoint. But is it big? Yes. Does it look good? Yes. Is it too expensive? Yes. Its defently not a day 1 buy for me. I'll wait for reviews first, and then wait for a slight price drop IF i'm even gonna buy it. I don't feel like supporting such a marketing strategy.

Hm.. could be. But they've also posted a video of them applying the front bumper, which seems to be a seperated thing. Could be that for building purposes you have to apply them completely and once finished you can detach the body as a whole.

I've never had problems with boxes being damaged before, tough i only ordered the Unimog a few years back. Depends on the post-service i guess. For me it was DHL.

While neglectable, it would have been nice to have the rear steering, altough i fear that it will have it either way, trough slag of the way its built, and... well lego... . ( sad lol ).
