  1. Thanks for testing. I fixed it and uploaded into my git-repo: LDD-New-Parts/35494.xml at main · sttng/LDD-New-Parts (github.com) Meanwhile I added those parts as well: BrickLink - Part 35035 : Lego Minifigure, Shield Pentagonal with Spikes [Minifigure, Shield] - BrickLink Reference Catalog BrickLink - Part 35042 : Lego Minifigure, Helmet Wing [Minifigure, Headgear Accessory] - BrickLink Reference Catalog BrickLink - Part 65468b : Lego Minifigure, Utensil Trolls Treble Clef [Minifigure, Utensil] - BrickLink Reference Catalog
  2. I don't think all the new LDD-Mod parts are available in either Ldraw or Stud.io. And as you say you have to create a dat part of the mod-file. If you have done that already, I think you should share with the community. There seems people are questioning on how to do it in the thread about new Unity Lego parts. Maybe you can give some helpful input there :)
  3. I made a backup of those tools on github https://github.com/sttng/LDD-Tools Feel free to have a look.
  4. How about you send me your model and I’ll try ? I also downloaded the zip from the link and did a shasum (SHA checksum) of all files and they are similar to the files I have already on my computer. Also I ran it through Virustotal and it didn't detect any Malware / Virus: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/7bb39a49129b7aa5761802798bdcb32cda84a2dd68724b8d1af69d82924aa8e6/detection
  5. Bluerender0006 is unofficial - but you can can get it here: https://yadi.sk/d/mqMt2o9238H8QY
  6. I’ll vote for maybe 2 fields: 1) created by 2) comment (free text) it has most flexibility
  7. Yeah. The LDraw Plugin for Blender is great. But it can't handle (so far) the new LDD Mod Parts, unless there are LDraw Parts Ports of them. My Plugin reads the Geometry directly from the .g files, so it can handle every LDD Parts (including mod parts.) But it is lacking nice materials (that's where the LDraw Plugin really shines) and of course many other features. On the other hand the LDraw Plugin existed for years, and this one only since a week
  8. OK I opened the Repo now for public: sttng/ImportLDD: A Blender plug-in for importing LEGO Digital Designer file format (lxf, lxfml) LEGO models. (github.com) Bear in mind this is basically still very, very unpolished and dirty code. I will still continue to commit code randomly. This also means that currently I can't give too much helpful tips and support - if any at all. importldd.py is the file you need, and to "install" via Prefernces -> Add-ons. Or you can run the code via the Scripting Tab / Workspace. Still missing features: reading of normals from .g files (even so Blender seems to do a very good Normal calculation by itselft) materials textures testing on different OSes (Linux) Anyway feel free to try it, clone it or come up with suggestions or wishes.
  9. Aligning LDD and Blenders different axis: ✔️ Address Flex parts floating around: ✔️ Preliminary Testing on Windows 10 & maxOS 10.13 ✔️ grouping of parts and subparts (g, g1, g2, .... files) ✔️ brick seams (preliminary) ✔️ Logo-on-bricks ✔️ Hosting on public repository ✔️ Pending: grouping of parts and subparts (g, g1, g2, .... files) correct normals materials textures brick seams Logo-on-bricks testing on different OSes (macOS, Linux) Hosting on public repository
  10. Bublibles sunflower mod is basic last bluerender 0.6 (latest version). It has some color handling enhancements For LDD2POVRAY I assume this can only be fixed by the developer unfortunately.
  11. I finished a Proof-of-Concept. That means a couple of things are working. But quite allot of things still to-do: LDD and Blender have different axis, Flex parts are floating around, correct grouping of subparts (g, g1, g2, .... files), materials, textures, testing on macOS Anyway this is the state so far:
  12. How about POVRay ? Meanwhile 21019 works in bluerender for me on macOS (albeit 'ugly' - but that's because the multi-color faces overlap with the basecolor faces. Its more a part and bluerender issue. Not related to the lif file itself.)
  13. Windows 7 is already out of Microsofts officials support: Windows 7 End of Support Info - Microsoft I really suggest you to move to Win10 (for security reasons, not for LIFCreator)
  14. Can you try to create a new one with the latest LIFCreator.exe I pushed (yeah I know it will take a long time )
  15. Did you get the latest version of lifcreator ? Can you try to extract it with lifextractor ? let’s continue discussion in the lif-creator topic
  16. I don't think LDD2POVRAY is aware of the db folder instead of the db.lif file (I guess it works with a repacked lif file). Just give it a try I guess. Would be nice if the original developer open-sources it or provides an update to support mods (aka reads from the db folder if available). Wondering if there is some interest in a (direct) LDD-to-Blender importer ? Might give coding a try if there is interest. Pro: Can use blender for lighting, and would have access to different rendering engines supported by blender Con: Would have to install Blender (huge package), familiarize with Blender - which may not be easy (and work on my side for coding )
  17. Welcome to the new LDD, where parts are included even before Lego releases the actualy model
  18. Pushed another update for Windows so you don't need a trailing slash / backslash anymore. Just type into the command-line LIFCreator.exe "C:\Users\<YOUR USER>\AppData\Roaming\LEGO Company\LEGO Digital Designer\db"
  19. Hi there. You have to run it from the command line (cmd.exe under Windows)
  20. Good to hear. Yeah files paths in Windows and macOS work differently (plus I have a bug that it expects a slash or backslash at the end). I' ll fix it and hope to make it working more flawless.
  21. I pushed some update in the .py script. Will test it on Windows later and then update the exe file, but on macOS I can definitely get new parts working in bluerender:
  22. I created an exe file of the python script for Windows users. It is still very very slow on Windows. Anyway you can get it in the same github repo: sttng/LIF-Creator: LIF Creator - A tool to package files and folders into LEGO Digital Designer LIF files. (github.com) Usage (mind the \ at the end !): LIFCreator.exe "C:\Users\<YOUR USER>\AppData\Roaming\LEGO Company\LEGO Digital Designer\db"\ In case this doesn’t work, let’s continue the discussion in the appropriate thread for LIFCreator
  23. Small update. I created an exe file of the python script for Windows users. It is still very very slow on Windows. Anyway you can get it in the same github repo: sttng/LIF-Creator: LIF Creator - A tool to package files and folders into LEGO Digital Designer LIF files. (github.com) Usage (mind the \ at the end !): LIFCreator.exe "C:\Users\<YOUR USER>\AppData\Roaming\LEGO Company\LEGO Digital Designer\db"\ Output: LIF Creator 1.1 Choosen directory: C:\Users\<YOUR USER>\AppData\Roaming\LEGO Company\LEGO Digital Designer\db PROCESSING: pes.xml COMPLETED: 12599 files in 8 directories processed. 24. You need to enable "show hidden folders" in a default windows install. Otherwise its not shown. On my Win10 the folder is: C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\LEGO Company\LEGO Digital Designer
  25. I'm getting the parts from here New official tools + parts released via Unity - LEGO Digital Designer and other digital tools - Eurobricks Forums
