  1. I think Chewbacca summed it up perfectly:
  2. Probably 'old hat' for a lot of you, but here is my 10240 X Wing with new engines and nose based upon what I've seen on this site, plus undercarriage and a few other minor details added (lights on the wings evident just before it sinks into the swamp, some sort of sight / scope at the front of the cockpit, extra greebling etc.). They aren't visible, but the inner wings have been reinforced with a big plate each that makes the whole assembly much more rigid and allows the undercarriage to be attached reasonably securely in deep wells. Getting the forward leg of the rear undercarriage at an angle took a bit of trial and error, but I got here eventually. The engine intakes need more work - I'm open to suggestions.
  3. You aren't alone. I'd love one too.
  4. All Bionical sets.
  5. It will all turn on how well the new movies go down. If they aren't well received then Lego will stick to OT ships and scenes, making the chance of a Falcon better. Personally I'd be modding any other version they might release back to OT specification. The prequels were crap and although the new movie was ok I don't know if the fan base will be old enough or nostalgic enough to spend on UCS quality sets.
  6. I agree - imagine it sitting on a couple of white moon base plates.
  7. Baw-ha-ha! I bet that set is still really expensive! I'm going to wait for a sale.
  8. I really want to like it for all the reasons others have already stated but yes, a little unfinished in places. I'll wait for a sale too.
  9. 75098 Assault on Hoth has to be a strong contender for this honour.
  10. I agree 100%. Mine has a small gap, but no big deal.
  11. Already liked! It would have been cool if Alien Conquest had been a little more 'classic' in its approach, but hopefully that leaves room for a great idea like yours.
  12. I really like what you've done. I built a second level with conveyor belt and furnace into mine but it made it essentially useless as a play set and didn't really add much as a 'scale model'. I've just left a few parts to cover the awful red steering arms inside but otherwise put it back the way it was. I think I might SNOT mine up like yours though - it looks great!
  13. I don't really budget for Lego. If, after all the bills are paid and there's a set I particularly like then I might buy it. Or I might spend on one of my other hobbies - I just call it as I see it at the time. The Wife complains just as much regardless :)
