Minifg collectors series 2 pics and barcodes
Tanotrooper replied to Superkalle's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Could you post a comparison picture of the shield and a 3*3 dish? Thanks! Gaetano -
Very nice work on the figures, you certainly have some sculpting skills! Did you paint the details on the minifigure or did you use decals? The box is awesome BTW Gaetano

Trading Collectable Minifigs Series 1, 2 and 3
Tanotrooper replied to danim's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I'd like to post here that I have purchased a series 1 box which should be arriving somewhere next week. Several figures have been reserved but there's still a lot left. PM me if interested. I ship worldwide. As mentioned way too many times before, I'm looking for Spartans from series 2 and I'm willing to keep your figures aside if you want to look for Spartans when they arrive in stores in order to trade. Robin Hood minifigures MOC

These look great, the new Kingdoms parts fit very well with this theme and Robin. I find the sheriffs' face to be quite accurate. Gaetano -

Well, the reports I've read seem to conclude that every stores has more boxes available compared to series 1. Sadly though this doesn't prevent that a certain figure disappears from all of those boxes. Gaetano -
Trading Collectable Minifigs Series 1, 2 and 3
Tanotrooper replied to danim's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
PM sent! I'd like to add that I should still have access to the series 1 figures (they were there last week, hope they're still there...) I also have 3 cheerleaders and 2 zombies already for trade. I'm looking for the Spartans of series 2 so let me know asap if you still need them. Gaetano -

Thanks for the picture of the Spartan. I think a 2*2 dish would be great on the shield since it has several printed designs. The second series has hit FUN stores here in Belgium but all the Spartans have been taken out by early visitors Gaetano -

For Europe, anywhere from... well now (since Sweden already seems to have them) to middle of August. For the rest of the world... anywhere from now to the beginning of September. Wanted to add that the box's content is known: box contents Gaetano -

Stefaan on the BeLUG forum had a link to someone who already bought a box and revealed its contents: box composition One box of 60 minifigures series 2 contains: 3 Spartans 3 Pharaohs 3 Adventurers 3 skiers 3 Surfers 3 Disco Stus 3 Singers 4 Mimes 4 Mexicans 4 'Baywatch' babes 4 Vampires 4 Weightlifters 4 Witches 5 Martials arts men 5 Ringmasters 5 Traffic cops Well, there certainly won't be a lack of minifigure trophies now. Yes, LEGO seems to like mustaches in the series, so I continued with the most glorious of them all. Well perhaps second most glorious, we also have the curly mustache of the Evil guy: I don't see why LEGO would make such a big deal out of the cross. Playmobil has been using it for years and has had several crusaders in their 'specials' line. (something similar to impulse sets) Since this is a new line in which they can offer a lot more than they usually could, this could perhaps be a possibility. Gaetano

I guess we'd better base ourselves on the barcodes that are on the pictures in the first post instead of a general list. (or check if they do are identical.) On a side note, the 'ancient warrior' seems to be often referred to as a 'Roman (soldier)'. Instead of just complaining about it, I wanted to point out that in theory you are correct. Around the 4th century BC, the hoplite armour and tactics were used by the Romans aswell. But this isn't the standard image of the Roman soldier (or legionary), yet it is spot on for the standard Spartan hoplite around that time. They wore red markings and capes, supposedly to not show blood when they were wounded. Therefore, and because of the obvious '300' reference, refer to them as Spartans Belgian stores should receive them on 29/06 although they probaply won't be put out until the official release date which is the 2nd of August. (Monday) Good luck to all on this hunt. Gaetano -

@Slyowl: the link you send gives different barcodes for the figures than the picture you posted. One of the first list posted does agree with the picture you posted though. Gaetano -
I've been planning to do something similar with the CW Grievous. The size of Grievous here would look good with my TTfigs, so I'll certainly look at your version for inspiration. Nice cape BTW Gaetano

These are looking great, the arm prints seem to be back on the mime figure. If you have a box, could you post how many of each is in a box? Gaetano -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Tanotrooper replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Perhaps the Indian figure refers to a South American Indian? (Maya and the like?) These figures don't sound as exciting to me as the previous waves. Although there are ofcourse still 12 unknown minifigures. LEGO anounced that they would release two series a year, so I suppose series 3 has to be available perhaps in January. That being said, I prefer this because if the series would continue to move at such a high pace it will become quite impossible to gather multiples of some figures and still be ready for the next waves. If anyone finds the series 2 figures please post the intel/info here I wonder if the stores over here will have them available at the start of August. Gaetano -

I suppose you're talking about the Spartan hoplite's helmet? From what I can see on several pictures, it doesn't seem like it's removable. It looks like it's just dark red print/paint on the helmet. Gaetano -
MOC: television series "House, M.D." scene
Tanotrooper replied to ILYA's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Ѓарачо! (hope the spelling is correct) Very nice MOC, it looks clean, the room really resembles the show. The minifigures are excellent, they not only look like their real-life counterparts but also have the same emotions on their faces. Hope to see more of your work. Дасвиданя Gaetano (and this is about my limit of Russian vocabulary ) -
Not quite the same, this one would fit in with the circus theme and looks better than his modernday counterpart Gaetano

Thanks for the comments, didn't expect that this thread still got attention. I suppose these are the same scale as LEGO's microfigures but I don't have any to compare with. I should get some more designs up here, I'll probaply get to it next month. Gaetano

Hello, well thought about it during work and got some ideas. A picture says more than a thousand words, no? Still have several ideas that I need to work out. Gaetano

Hello everyone, since I read that not everyone is looking for the Spartan/Antique Soldier of series 2 of the Collectable Minifigures, I wanted to advertise on EB that I'm looking for these fellows: I know they aren't available yet, (*cough* LEGOland *cough* ) but if you're willing to help me you could already keep an eye out. Alright, let's see what we have to offer in return: -3 cheerleaders from series 1 (Since the barcode isn't that clear here in Europe, they are out of their bags but were immediately stored into ziplock bags with all parts and instructions. I do have one MISB) -2 zombies from series 1, new aswell with all parts and instructions, one of it is MISB. -All of the minifigures of series 2 in multiples, except the Spartan of course. I should have atleast 6 of each but I'll have these at the start of August. -Quite a number of these in new condition in old brown: -Quite a number of these in new condition in black: -100+ (perhaps 150+) of these Viking shields, new condition: -A few (around 5) of these Dengar torsos, new condition: -A few Riddler torsos, new condition (around 2 or 3, have to check): -Bionicle 8723 MISB -Bionicle 8726 MISB -2928-1 Airplane promotional set MISB -5 new white horses with dark bley saddles, I also have a lot of used horses in several colours. -The boat hull of the 4+ pirate ship. (bow, stern and middle part): -Around 20 of these breastplates, new condition: -around 10 of these dark green leaves, new condition: If I find anything else I'll put it up here. If you need any of the minifigures of series 1 and you want to help me out, please notify me asap since the series is still available in stores but won't be restocked. If you need any other parts in particular, don't hesitate to reply here or send me a PM and I'll see what I can do. Please, no comments like: you're going to need ****** $ etc. Only serious replies please. Thanks in advance and I hope you can help me out Gaetano

The barcode list can indeed be very confusing, as on the European list the clown, dummy and another figure are very close to eachother. (I'm talking about 12 thin stripes vs 13 stripes at the back and the way the stripes are distributed [2 close to eachother, 3, etc.] ) Thanks for the info, sadly I do not own an iPhone Gaetano

Hmm that's a lot of boxes for one store. I went to Intertoys here in Belgium but didn't spot any of the minifigures. (Perhaps because they sold out, I'm gonna have to call them about series 2) And yes, let's hope a barcode sheet appears soon. Gaetano -
A very nice scene, I loved that battle in the movie. Interesting choice for the faces. On a side note, when Obi-Wan cut Darth Maul in half, he used Qui-Gon's green sabre, not his own Gaetano

Saw this on Brickshelf earlier, really outstanding work! I do like the gold spheres, they give that metalised organism look. Gaetano
