  1. Somehow my post was overlooked, so I'll say it again: try shortening the spring. This should give more power to the cannon. Although with such a small projectile, I dont think a brick wall for exemple would move, even when removable... TT
  2. troll: I'm going to make a ride on my bike *sweet* ... Dwarf, where did my bike's bugle go? dwarf: I don't know. troll: what you mean you don't know? dwarf: it was that knight! troll: you're standing with the bugle in your hand... dwarf: no, no I found it here and... dwarf: I'm dead right? troll: Ow yeah. TT
  3. uhm... people put names on to things to identify the object is theirs... It's not because they can't remember their name *hmpf_bad* TT
  4. why not shorten the spring? Seems more logical to me... TT
  5. update: Late Roman medium infantry (4-5th century AD) This is an example of the troops that witnissed the fall of the West-Roman empire. reference There were a lot of different helmet types, but this fur cap was also used. TT
  6. new update: Russian cuirassier from the Napoleonic wars: blurry side view: Reference as always: reference1 reference2 I hope I get some comments this time, if not, I'll move any future Napoleonic TTfigs to the historical thread. TT
  7. That is a wrong thinking. Everything can be made. If we all thought that, the world wouldn't develop. It may take time, much time, but a solution WILL be found. I can't say when, but the design will be improved. TT
  8. This type of helmet was used by standard legionnaires, optios (2nd in command of a century, they had a red plume that was faced like you suggest), centurios (with the crest sideways to easily identify their rank), auxilia (cavalry and infantry, but mostly bronze coloured) This model may improve as I find better techniques... I try to find a way to work in the typical "brow"' piece. image of centurio: TT
  9. I'll answer that comment tomorrow, as I'm too tired right now. TT
  10. friendly bump? :-$ TT
  11. updated with side view ;-) TT
  12. well, I thought about making such a helmet without customising very long but it didn't work... Then I suddenly got the idea and it worked... Weird if you think about it... TT
  13. Indeed. To prevent that an innocent person doesn't have the time to defend himself. I'm fascinated about how this game will turn out ;-) TT
  14. UPDATE: British light dragoon from the Napoleonic wars: reference: http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review...A&code=6040 The fur hat is reversed Harry Potter hair. TT
  15. Hey everyone, centurio Cassius is going to explain how to make a Roman helmt of the type Imperial Gallic. Enjoy! *sweet* Cassius is one of the many TTfigs wich will help ilustrate the Roman mafia game *sweet* EDIT: side view: Salve! Gaius Tanus Domus
  16. Sorry for double posting again :-$ All of the roles have been sent, the game start date is still 15th of April. Any special (night)actions will have to be send to me by PM!!! Don't post them into the game thread or your role will become known. If you recieved a role with brackets next to it, the non brackets word(s) is the Latin name and in brackets the English name. TT
  17. Thank you very much Jipay. WE NOW HAVE ALL THE PLAYERS!!! *sweet* Roles will be divided now, I'll see when I send the roles.... Now or when the game begins? Hmm... ;-) The begindate is approx. 15 April. EDIT: the roles were divided by fate and will be sent to you tomorrow. Any questions about your roles must be sent to me by PM, and NOT posted in this thread. TT
  18. Sorry for the dubble post :-$ *Presumable game start date entered* Anyone who still needs to confirm, please do it asap. Anyone who wants to enter as a reserve player, can also do this in this thread. Thanks, TT
  19. Salve! *sweet* I see Mr. Iamded has given the translation in the meanwhile ;-) 13 confirmed, 6 more to go. Crucifixes are being tested *skull* and the characters are being made too. When everybody has confirmed, I will "choose" the roles, and you will recieve them a bit before the game. TT
  20. ************** The year is 79 AD. After the death of emperor Nero, a certain general Vespasian took the power of Rome, after the very succesful siege of Jerusalem in wich the temple of Jerusalem was destroyed. The people loves him, as he has built the Colosseum with the treasures stolen from Jerusalem. But two of the seven hills of Rome, the Palatine and Aventine hills, keep fighting each other, threatening all of Rome and the Roman Empire itself. Emperor Vespasian has send some of his finest troops to both hills, as they need to break down the rebellion and bring Rome back on its feet. ************** That was the backgroundstory of our (first) Roman mafia game here on Eurobricks. The rules will be explained in this thread. -There are 3 groups of players: the governement (consisting of soldiers and aristocrats), the Aventine hill plebs and the Palatine hill plebs. All three have to fight for power, as this will determine the future of Rome. -There are two fases: day and night. When it's day, all players will be able to vote on who they want to condemn. At night, certain night actions might take place. Any (night)actions will have to be send to me by PM, not in the game thread!!!! A day will be about 3 days in real life, and a night will be about 2 days. -If a person is condemned (this means having as many votes as half of the players +1 ), the person will appear at court. The judge (consul) then will decide what to do with the player. The decision will be send to me by PM from the judge, and the result will appear in public. There are two options: *crucifixion: the person has been condemned to death, and will be crucified before all of Rome. *arena: the person will be sent into the new Colosseum, there he will try to survive. If he survives for 1 day (so condemnation, night, day, night), the person will be put back into the game. -The other rules are: think twice before you do something, try to survive and people aren't always who they appear to be. ************* Any questions about the rules may be posted here, and all of your confirmations too. ************* The game will start the 15th of April. Confirmations: 1)Goggleson 2)Wouwie13 3)Lt. Veers 4)Pencoin 5)Hinckley 6)Trexxen 7)Ricecracker 8)Legolyons 9)TinyPiesRUs 10)Username_Taken 11)Piranha 12)Atoll Dweller 13)Dragonator 14)Iamded 15)Imperialscouts 16)Batbrick 17)Castlestrike666 18)Casewindu 19)Jipay TT
  21. Well, better that than nothing at all. If LEGO made an Ancient theme, things would be different of course. -If lego would produce Romans, it would be from their most famous period, and would be the "golden age" soldiers, so the Hastati from the Republic times aren't likely -I saw Rome Total War many times, might buy it (as its only 3€ on pc I think), but the uniforms are from the golden age (1-2nd centru AD), whilst the game goes until 50 AD as you said. If you want to see things about Romans: -If you want action, the social life in Rome, and the life of legionnaires, watch BBC's series "Rome" (2 seasons) -If you want action, and mostly battles, with accurate unfiforms, watch BBC's series: The rise and fall of Rome (6 episodes) (I even made a music video to it, you can see it at www.youtube.com/tanotrooper and it's about the final battle of the third Punic War against Carthage) One thing: why do you English and Americans have to change people's names? Traianus becomes Trajan/Trojan, Carthago becomes Carthage, Octavianus becomes Octavian... TT
  22. I'd say she had that rubber band in there too long X-O Can't we get a David Hasselhoff figures in a Spongebob set? He appears in the spongebob movie, so if they make a set out of that X-D TT
  23. But the "ballistae" was Latin plural, while I used the English plural "ballistas. In Dutch, both Latin and standard plural can be used on Latin and Greek words, I don't know how this is in English *wacko* Onager... have to remember that word TT
