  1. If the august sets are not DH like Falconfan suggests, then a remake of the Durmstrang ship becomes much more likely for an additional anniversary set. What if they are making a set for each movie: 1. 3rd floor corridor 2. Chamber of secrets, Polyjuice 3. Hogsmeade (4, Durmstrang ship) (5. Grimmauld place/ministry/... (6. Inferi cave/Quidditch/...) (7. Gringotts D2C)
  2. The vidyio mermaid tail and the head, they used for the Daily Prophet photographer Bozo
  3. I use the torso (reddish brown) of the CMF minotaur for Firenze with the lighter colour centaur body You could use the manbat torso alternatively
  4. You could give the 2 CMF series wizards (71007 Wizard and 71008 Evil wizard) flesh heads and hands instead of their yellow ones. Or the Merlok DK book figure, if you own it, and the Vitruvius fig:
  5. Wouldn't Dean Thomas have mid-legs in the Hogsmeade set because he is a 3rd year like Harry, Ron and Hermione? I think that leak is fake. As I said before the torso looks like a photoshopped/recoloured version of the dark green torso from 40410. The face print others mention as new or belonging to Justin Finch-Fletchely, looks to me like a blurred Superman face from the Justice League Party set. What is weird in the photograph is that the printing on Harry is sharper and more defined than the supposedly new torso right beside it which is blurred as hell. Why would an object with a similar distance be this blurry and washed out unless someone applied a filter on it to hide the reuse and recolouring of the parts Torso: https://brickset.com/minifigs/hol213/bob-cratchit Superman face print:
  6. Again I never mentioned greed. That was your own inner answer when you reflected on my questions. I hope you don't feel bad about collecting in the future. Collecting to create, express and manifest your own ideas and thoughts is wonderful and the inherent goal of Lego and construction toys in general. I just think everyone should be able to do that - equally and collectively building on a brighter tomorrow.
  7. Where did I use a personal insult referring to you (please quote the passage and the slang or derogatory term with your name in it)? Are questions insulting? I did not compare myself to Jesus. I just used a literary technique, which he was using as well. In fact this technique was used long before him. Like Jesus said, none of us are without sin. But you are right - it was not me, that argued to exclude others from ownership, looked down on others and wanted to take a minifigure/piece of plastic from those below me because of the need of collecting something "rare".
  8. You are talking about two different Malfoys. Backtobricks means Lucius whereas Textroix means Draco. Lucius is coming in a book this summer (might be even two DK publications) and he is the same figure as in DA
  9. I never once mentioned the words greed or bad in any of my previous posts, not even in synonyms. I just applied the Socratic approach of questioning in a thoughtful discussion about the perceived need for an exclusivity of minifigures. Also my small allegory of kings and a former president is a literary technique alluding to the the futileness of perceived wealth. It was most prominently used by a Nazarean prophet, whose thoughts were handed down for roughly 2000 years in an old dusty book, although I must admit that he used other examples like camels and the eye of a needle. Some of his followers nowadays don't like the Harry Potter books all that much, because they are a more interesting and entertaining read than the old dusty book.
  10. Just so that we are on the same page what "exclusive" means in its usage in modern day English. It is defined in the Oxford Dictionary by the following sentences : "- limited to one particular person, group or area; only given to one particular person, group or area - not very willing to allow new people to become members, especially if they are from a lower social class - of a high quality and expensive and therefore not often bought or used by most people" https://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/definition/academic/exclusive I just wanted you to know that wanting "exclusivity" literally means others not having it. If you mean something else with your words, it is advisable to use concise language so that there are no misunderstandings and ideas can be exchanged. In our society you are free to be either a champion of exclusivity or accessibility. I think a children's toy should be as accessible as possible, because the real world tends to throw more than enough restrictions on us. But I don't condemn some to want what others don't have. It is only human.
  11. Why do you want it to be exclusive so bad? Do you want to sell it? Does the figure look less good or precious to you now than it did two weeks ago? Has anything changed physically on the figure you can hold in your hands right now? Or did only your perception of it change? Do you want others not to have it, so that it makes your own more precious? Just ask yourself these questions and think about the answers. You don't have to type them on here. Just think about what kind of person this makes you, if you argue like you just did. Is it really true that your own precious possession becomes less meaningful to you, because others have it as well? Kings in the past believed they were chosen by god because of some shiny golden material found in the dirt of the earth. Some former president, who shall not be named, used that same material for his loo and thought he was something better and special...
  12. The torso looks like a shoddy photoshop recolour from 40410 Charles Dickens hommage. Look closely and you can still see the dark green under the dark blue paint brushing that erased some of the print details. The collar is definitely the same as the charles dickens torso. The dark brown hair and the edge towards the face make me think that is also only a painted over hair piece from the DA photographer. The dark brown hair has lost a lot of contrast and light reflections it should normally have and the photoshop brush bleeds into the face at the edge. That wouldn't occur in a real photograph of the fig. I think it's a fake until reality proves me wrong with a release of that fig
  13. The fig was nowhere in the promotional material and it says nowhere on the box or in the press release that the fig will remain exclusive to this set. It was supposed to be a special surprise for sure, that got flashed over all lego fan media sites and channels the second it hit the shelves. So even the "surprise" aspect is questionable. The exclusivity was interpreted into it by you and others but lego never mentioned or promised its exclusivity (the only wish of them was to keep the silencio box secret). I think the press release only talked about 4 new characters (at that time): "Populate the mysterious shops and streets of Diagon Alley™ with four new character minifigures you won’t find anywhere else, including Gilderoy Lockhart, Florean Fortescue, Lucius Malfoy and the Daily Prophet photographer." This whole exclusive minifig thing with the SDCCs and so on might be "fun" for a few hundred collectors on the world. But for the rest of the consumer base it is either annoying, because good quality minifigs or sets like the Nebulon B or Bespin Duel are limited to a few basements, or they don't care for it at all.
  14. Ok sry I wasn't just talking about you although your choice of words made me type that. A few pages ago there was already a discussion about the silencio Harry variant from DA and it coming in the AC. And a few youtubers, that have covered the promobricks HP infos and who I usually enjoy watching, have made a big deal about it. In my opinion it is good for the less fortunate, that they can play with certain minifigs, but I guess that Youtube ad money and free lego sets from the LAN makes some entitled to think that a piece of plastic, they worked so "hard" for, stays "exclusive"
  15. This bickering about supposed minifig exclusives and hoping that they stay exclusive is seriously going on my nerves. It's a piece of printed plastic that cost a few cent to produce and some youtube influencers make people loose their mind over it. What happened about caring about the build of Diagon Alley (and the thousands of pieces that go into that)? Some care more for the two pieces that they thought are worth 100 $ and start acting like drama queens when they are in a 30$ AC or 70 $ set. If you bought DA just because of the minifigs you might want to look into collecting funkos or hasbro toys but not lego because you clearly are missing the point of a construction toy
  16. The wizard hair/hat combo came in dark green and grey in BAM last year. Maybe its just a new BAM variant?
  17. Where did you see it? On insta? Are you sure it wasn't just a hoax like Phoebe's torso, Helga Hufflepuffs head in a blurry pic?
  18. The great hall was supposed to be retired for at least 6-8 months at that point of the design process for the new set with the June 2021 release
  19. Yeah me too. I hope for the 2018 hair mould in white (without the hat) with his beard from the CMF. And a flying Fawkes... (although it is not mentioned at all in the promobricks or the stonewars article) Guyon have you heard anything about Fawkes?
  20. You are basing all this on one mention of a mine-cart in the AC. The mine cart could just be a micro-build or even if it is minifig scale, it wouldn't mean the D2C set isn't Gringotts. Rather that the AC is PS-themed and that they added the Griphook from the D2C in it, so that it can be collected by people who can't afford 250$ right now. Just wait a few weeks and we will know for sure.
  21. The pirate skeleton (and the POTC Barbossa and Jack), Ghost-Rider (both versions), the necromancer (Sauron), Jack Skellington and Hela all want to have a talk with you about their non-existence as minifigs^^ And they wouldn't have to make "death" a literal minifig. Just a nondescript black dementor-like hooded guy in the background (maybe even brickbuilt). Furthermore they could go with Dumbledore's and Hermione's interpretation of the story, exclude death and just give the three brothers the powerful artifacts (creating them on their own) Edit: They have produced two Riddle manor scenes by now (even with the Baby-Voldemort in the cauldron). It doesn't get much darker than that. Also I think the treatment of death as this big taboo is more childish. The fear and characterisation of it as this thing to be feared even more so. That is literally one of the key messages of the Harry Potter books and movies, in which the titular character has to constantly deal with the loss of loved-ones from the first book to the last. In the first chapters of Philosopher's Stone a young kid reading them is confronted with the fact that Harry lost his parents. You can't be a Harry Potter fan abd buy the merch without having read or watched at least book one. In the course of the 7 books one has to literally read about the death of more than 5 major characters before one reaches "The Tale of the Three Brothers". Which is not unlike other fairy-tales and fables where death appears either as a character or concept.
  22. The tale of the three Brothers could be released in a second wave of Hogwarts moments books as the literal book "Tales of beedle the bard" with the three brothers as minifigs. Although a pop-up styled book would be even better.
  23. The new dragon head mould from the next Ninjago wave could be used for the Ukrainian Ironbelly in the Gringotts set
  24. Use the blue, pulled down Wildstyle hood piece to keep the fabric down. Looks good and works perfectly (third pic shows it on Kingsley)
  25. You have a small typo: the books measure 16x10x6 (not 16x16x6) Stonewars says Gryffindor book is dark orange. Slytherin Sand green, Hufflepuff dark tan and Ravenclaw a lighter blue (not sure which). These colours refer to the new 16x10 element with handle bars to attach the rest of the book cover.
