  1. Judging by the actual movie animatronic, they built for Chamber of Sectrets I think olive green is a good approximation for the colour. The lighting in this scene is very blue, dark and muted so that changes the colour impression on screen. Dark tan accents and maybe tan printing could be used to bring out scale detail and such. The head mould looks perfect imo. Some pieces will be exclusive new recolours like the 2x2 round brick in olive green.
  2. Btw, in light of what recently got revealed about that game BTS, I hope they won’t release a single set based on it That is one person involved that has questionable views. A much bigger fear of mine is that the content and the quality of the game turn it into Hogwartspunk 2077. At CDPR there were programmers who both developed Witcher 3 (very good open world game) and sadly Cyberpunk 2077. Sets would be based on the story and location/art design which would be overseen by different people than him anyway.
  3. Yes, I agree with that. Only one slight correction. The polyjuice bathroom set uses only 1 of the tan door arches (on the right). The left one is built with a normal tan 1x1 pillar and a 1x2 flat tile because of the toilet stall build in reddish brown.
  4. The left underground section of the new chamber of secrets set has most likely the stone monument of the head of Salazar Slytherin in it (on the backside of the dark blueish gray rocks). The small rock mould between the candles can be removed. It is clamped in by two of these pieces on the bottom, which can be hinged back. This creates an opening for the basilisk to slither through and come out of the mouth as a play feature. Size-wise this would mean that the head of slytherin covers most of the inner wall under the Great Hall and is the backdrop of that room
  5. It could be a store exclusive and therefore wouldn't be in the Italian retailer catalogue.
  6. I know, I already posted this fact a couple of pages ago, that the connection pin positions are exactly the same as the previous 2018-2020 modulars and that promobricks were wrong about it not being easily connected to the former sets. The other leakers like guyon have by their own admission not even seen the pictures of the August wave themselves, but only heard descriptions of the sets by their source. So they don't have actually that much to share anyway and the hearsay could be inaccurate or wrong
  7. Not wanting/having to buy as much Lego sets during an economic depression in the scale of the 1920s might actually be a good thing for many people in the coming months. When live gives you lemons, make lemonade
  8. But that would ruin the connection to all other sets or you would have to buy and build custom rock work for the clock tower and astronomy tower as well. Fluffy isn't ruined. I own the old moulded one and the new one is better in more than one way. First it can actually be lying down or move it's feet, the old one was just static. The old mould could only open the mouths of the heads which had no printing at all and you can only open the middle head or the ones on the side. The new one also has more detailed head sculpts. Additionally the black feet part on the old one just looks bad. Regarding the size of the chamber: If you combine all 3 "underground" sections of the 76389 new chamber of secrets you get a roughly the same area stud-wise like we would have gotten under the old 2018 Great Hall set.
  9. Botched Poly-juice potion is better than "Harry Potter and the Girls' bathroom"
  10. What if it's a "Hogwarts Mystery" (mobile game) or "Hogwarts Legacy" wave (the new game that originally had a 2021 release but now got pushed back to late 2021 or early 2022)? I think if the Legacy game is a hit and it looks like WB is putting a lot of assets into it, we might eventually see sets for that. It's Hogwarts in the 1800s with new (and old) characters, creatures, a new villain that isn't Voldemort or Grindelwald and so on Lego did a 2 part tie-in wave for the Marvel Avengers game (that game flopped horribly) and the Wizarding World is actually a more profitable brand considering the toy sales for it right now.
  11. It also allows them to release seperate classrooms, library or common-rooms in the future without them being squished into the bell towers. The 8x16 or 8x24 format allows for larger interiors than what we got in the astronomy tower or the 2018 great hall (which had a large great hall but the tower rooms were small)
  12. The signage is pink like on the set recreation in universal studios. The door is dark green as are the windows
  13. The wall colour of Honeydukes in the set is not brown, it is nougat (accent colours for windows/doors are dark green and sand green). The pics are oversaturated and dark, so the colours are off in comparison to other set images. Nougat fits as an approximation for this:
  14. Do you mean the third floor of the tower in 76389? That window uses a reddish brown recolour of a curved new for 2021 window frame It first appeared in this years Friends line. There is no black gap it is the curvature and lattice of the window frame
  15. @Guyon2002 You could use the Marvel and DC Cinematic Universe to describe the quality and content of the sets. Like 76389 is the Superman 2 (Donner-cut version) of the wave. The D2C for example could be like the Dark Knight movie (hopefully) or if it's controversial either like the Joker Movie or the Ultimate Spiderman cartoon (the former being adult oriented while the later is oriented at kids). Or if it's a rather original take on the source material you could say it's the "Into the Spiderverse"-movie.
  16. The torsos are mostly preliminary as can be seen in the hogsmeade set. Exclusive prints would not be finished at the time these preliminary set photos were taken last year. Colours of pieces might also change if the recolour is new for this set The figs would look silly with yellow heads and the rest being pearl gold. It is kind of acceptable for ninjago because they wear masks that cover most of the yellow. But Wu got a golden head and is the best golden legacy figure, while Llyod is the worst imo (although the new hair piece is cool).
  17. I hope they make pearl gold versions of the centaur, goblin and house-elf eventually. I also had the idea to potentially use the the golden figures of the anniversary wave (Harry, Ron, Hermione,...) as the new monument in a Ministry of Magic atrium MOC (kind of the 19 years later version). Because Kingsley exchanges the "magic is might monument" from Voldemort's takeover with a new monument depicting the battle for hogwarts. So the golden trio statues would fit in universe, because they are the heroes of the battle and it would at the same time be a callback to the former golden fountain of magical brethren statues in the atrium (wizard, witch, centaur, house-elf and goblin)
  18. Nick is on the roof on the left. I think this could really be a flying fawkes. Because if it was Hedwig the piece exists already and would be on there. This alone would make the set worth it for me
  19. Other toy companies like Bandai present their prototype figures a year before their release on exhibitions to the public and they have preorder phases months before with official pictures. Lego wants to sell their product. The crackdown on "leaks" three months before release is ridiculous and isn't helping them sell anything. I admit that prelims are not ideal for promotional purposes, but they could just release the official pics three months before release and have preorder phases to estimate demand. Right now they have trouble on their own online shop with sets selling out fast. If they had the preorders early (like right now for example), they could ramp up production for those sets and have overall a more pleasant consumer experience. But what do I know with only two semesters of marketing and economics...
  20. I hope it's a recolour into trans-blue or something.
  21. They do come apart in modules like I described above. The less detailed style has to do with the anniversary line being a throwback to the 2001 to 2011 style. Look at the 2011 castle. The great hall exterior was'nt much more detailed then as well and it also contained random structures. The longest time the Harry Potter line consisted of this type of build and people back then loved and bought them anyway.
  22. The roofs and towers are modularly interchangeable as well (at least for the tower in 76387 and 76389) which means the fluffy corridor set has 5 modular parts (3 for the tower + 2 for the corridor; roof can be detached and bathroom added for example or the Chamber tower section). 76389 consists of 9 individual modules. On the left 3 (Chamber + great hall + roof). Tower in the middle has 5 modules and then the chamber entrance door on the right is the 9th module. All building modules (except the roofs naturally) have the same pin hole connection distance/height as the 2018 sets
  23. Yeah I considered the 2018-2020 sets also good, because I used them as parts packs as well. I like to MOC my own sets and tan, dark tan, medium nougat, sand green are useful brick colours. It is a building toy and for the most part I get more enjoyment out of it, when I go off the instructions. I hate most super heroes sets because the part selection is horrible colourwise with a few exceptions (like Wonder Woman 1984, some Batman movie sets). Marvel is worse than DC because Batman builds usually offer atl least good selection of black and dbg parts.
  24. Promobricks were wrong by the way with one of their points. The pin holes on the june wave are in fact compatible with the 2018 to 2020 Hogwarts "modular" system. Look at the right side of the bathroom set. The technic pins are on the same height as previous models. I think the sets are good over all. Sure they could be better, but since I parted out the previous ones as well, because they were already too small scale-wise for me, I think the new ones work great as part packs
  25. I don't think this is supposed to be the great stair case tower. Sinistra (that already) leaked is on top. I think it is more like a generic tower with a class room or another dormitory in it like the 2001 tower. The bathroom set can be placed under the tower section and over the the right chamber section.
