Will we ever get a Chewbacca minifig with decent coloration? They got the best color combo (imo) on the Brickhead and Constraction figures, yet revert to the ugly dark brown and dark tan(?) for the minifigure. The mold is better than ever, but the colors are just awful.

A few are pretty underpriced, but a couple are just insane. How could Lego possibly justify pricing like that? -
LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Deadshot replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Everything I've been able to find on the pricing of the new wave, or the Solo sets anyway, has been somewhat jaw-dropping to me. Is the 75217 Conveyex Transport really going to be $80-90 for ~620 pieces?! And considering at least 60+ pieces of that total is treads is even more glaring. The 75219 AT-Hauler is more reasonable from what I could find, 829 pieces for $90-100, but still a little high. It can't just be "it's Star Wars licensing". Both Han's and Moloch's speeders were 50 or 60 pieces higher than $0.10 per piece. Any more solid info on pricing for these kits? The only people I've seen who have them aren't in the US and can't speak definitively. -
The Lego model is a little too small, but the flying fox is nowhere near the size of a helicarrier. Clearly wider than the batmobile (behind the league), but barely wide enough to fit the league (minus superman) standing shoulder-to-shoulder.

Post your LEGO MCU Vulture Wings MODs here!

A little hole-y with that hinge setup but I prefer it to the blocky tips. -

I don't plan on getting him, but I can say that the first mod I would make is swapping the wingtip pieces with these and these. At least the upper ones. Maybe for the lower ones swap out the blades for some smaller spikes/teeth. May make the wings even bigger, and most think they're already too big, but the blocky wingtips bother me more than that. -
Don't hold your breath. We'll never know who's serious and who's yanking chains until we actually see something. Reverse Flash and Cheetah would be strong additions (Hopefully without her goofy hair). I want to say Lobo is too...mature?...of a character to be in a Lego set. But who knows? The Joker is a homicidal maniac and Lego has managed to avoid that aspect of his character for years. Can't speak for everyone, but I don't think anybody wants or cares about Lex Luthor. Even if you missed out on the sets that include him, the rest of the set is what's worth getting, not the generic bald-guy-in-a-suit minifigure. So call me skeptical at best.

$120 is awesome. When I saw the pictures and piece count, I thought it'd be at least $150. Can't wait! -
So is the Wonder Woman set Toys R Us exclusive in the states? And are there dcpi's for it? Thanks.

Meh. Yondu's ship looks good, but the Milano and baby-Milano look almost like Juniors sets. Not a whole lot of detail, lot of exposed studs, and too monochromatic. Don't know if the new movie Milano got a new paintjob, but if not, then the model is terrible. Glad I got the first Milano when I did.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Deadshot replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I've been waiting for this a for a while. A Catman minifig. And like Nemo says and shows, it's pretty faithful to the comics, which is great. However it is beyond me why they didn't use a Catwoman mask, or perhaps a new mold, and opted for Batman instead. Batman has flat ears on the sides of his head, while Catman's are more on the top and perked forward. And because they're using a Batman cowl, they cant give him regular eyes, which is another deviation from the comics. I don't remember a single time that Catman's eyes weren't visible. They were never just ghost white like Batman's comic appearances. Unfortunate, but still like it a great deal. Will get at least 2 so I can use the spare head for Batfleck-stubble like somebody suggested. And it doesn't have a chinstrap, but you can still use it for the armored Batsuit. My 2 cents. -
I was under the impression it was Walmart exclusive, and have seen plenty of them, but I have no idea about other stores. Haven't been to a Target or TRU ina few months.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Deadshot replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Noice -
Yeah, I know, I just didn't pay them too much mind. I had Phantom Menace sets when I was a kid, but since I've re-started collecting, the only SW set I have now is the latest Droid Escape Pod, because I was nostalgic for the original. So I don't have any Jedi or Sith or anything, just R2 and 3P0.
-
I rather like the Naboo set. The elevation gives it a catwalk feel (Even though that specific room was walled) and makes room for features. Also haven't had any Phantom Menace stuff since the original release, and would like a Qui Gon Jinn that isn't yellow.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Deadshot replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
All I want to know is if Catman will be in the CMF line like Catanas or whoever it was said. Trying not to be too excited about it. -
Was it ever confirmed if the BrickHeadz were going to be individuals or in pairs like sdcc?

I'm liking Rebirth comics quite a bit. I've read every one, and the only ones I'm not too hot on are the Superwoman and New Super-Man titles. Detective Comics is definitely one of the best, in my opinion, along with Deathstroke and Red Hood. I'm not read up on the New 52 Nightwing or Grayson stories, but the Nightwing Rebirth is near the top too, and picks up after the Grayson storyline, I guess, because he mentions it now and then.

Yeah, Lego just released 5(?) new Marvel sets, and 4 of them are centered around Spiderman. I think Lego will do at least 2 sets. Doing 1 set only like they did for Dr. Strange and Antman, but for a very popular character who's also super kid-friendly, would just be dumb.

I don't know, I think it'll be like the GotG(1) sets: no one set with the full ensemble, but the full team if you have all the sets. I mean GotG had StarLord, Gamora, Drax, Groot, Rocket, and Ronan for main characters, which is 6. JL will have Batman, Wonder Woman, , which is 6 or 7. If especially if the biggest set is the Flying Fox. That'll have 3 or 4 League'rs alone.

Replaying Uncharted 4. Pretty cool since you can choose whatever weapons, skins, and modifiers/filters you want on the second go. Ending still bugs me, but it's still good.

Both the first and last would be downgrades, in my opinion. A thread for official information would work, either combined or in tandem with a rumor thread, but if the thread can only be used after a significant amount of official information is actually released (which is usually only a month or two before the set is actually released), it would only be relevant or usable for a few months of the year, preceding each wave of releases. A thread for discussion that isn't specific to a year would be enormous after a single year, never mind the succeeding ones. With those 2 cents shared, I can't suggest a better alternative to what we already have, a thread where we can discuss the latest rumors and tidbits, however credible, with an easily located post that is updated with official information as we get it. If the issue is that people can be confused by what is rumor and what is official, and that the current system doesn't handle that clearly enough, then the only alternative is a rumor thread and an official thread working in tandem. With a rumor thread that grows until tidbits of official information are released, and then discussion of those particular things is moved to the "fact" thread. One thread that people can pick apart rumors and be excited for it, and another thread that other people can check now and then for official updates and then discuss them there. Cheers.
