  1. Cool Review DS! The Fire Helicopter is ok, I still prefer 7739 Coast Guard Helicopter and the 2010 Blue Helicopter with Limo I like the bucket attachment, nice detail. The best part of this set has to be the fire truck Really well built! It is a good thing that we have online instructions, so now I can easily make my own, not only as a Fire Truck but it also will look nice as a civilian truck. Not really a must buy, the truck can easily be recreated.

    I don't see anything new?
  3. City and Town have always been Favorite theme. I collect, build and enjoy discussing it. I like City because: - It reflects the world we live in - Building styles and techniques that it involves (architecture) - Allows for endless expansion to layouts, designs and setups - It is just plain awesome
  4. I pretty sure they will have the 10v Charger cord for the battery box. Otherwise that would be very bad if they gave you a rechargeable battery, and not the equipment needed to recharge it The 9v Trains shows the Regulator but not the cord, but the set still came with a cord. I really like how they simplified the PF but all those parts must be concealed in the Engine. Does that mean no interior?
  5. Oh this is nice, I like it as its own forum now over a subforum, easy to find Really good idea!
  6. Buying Crave: Usually happens when I walk into the LEGO isle. This usually is worse when it has been a long time. Extreme is when it has been a long time and it is the LEGO store Beads of sweat gather, I get a good feeling and just want to buy it all.
  7. Very interesting, August for USA? Or will it be sooner? Important things after the leaked pics are release days and price About the price speculation, I thought the $120 and $150 prices posted earlier were real? Could the poster (MAH4546) please shed some light on this?

Thanks! I was too lazy to cross reference with the other City 2010 sets I was hoping it would be another surprise like the Helicopter & Limo

    City 2010

Thanks for the info and pics Now what is that?
  10. You know this as an established fact? Dealer Catalog perhaps? Thanks for the info! Awesome Prices!!! The cargo is a steal at the price, considering everything you get! Now for sure I am buying it! Save your pennies, don't waste them on the Passenger
  11. and Happy they will be cheaper than I thought but sad that LEGO rips Europe off Which I believe is nothing new, after reading some threads in the Embassy Hopefully one day there will be equal LEGO prices for all
  12. Thanks! After some XE Conversions Passenger Train 149 Euro = $213.00 I guess it will be $200 or so in the USA Cargo Train 169 euro = $242.00 Again maybe between $225-250 Hopefully these prices will get a little lower in the USA Because there are price difference between Europe and USA Not reflected in the conversion rate. Again really good price for the Cargo train About a mark of $100 over 2006 Cargo Train But this is vastly superior with PF, loads of track and great stuff all around
  13. Yes Noobish Building move I thought but happened to me! Most of the time I will forget to add pieces then a few pages later I wonder what happened. I go back and see I missed a brick or two. Now however I study each page carefully
  14. Thanks for those pics!! I will start with my personal favorite of the 4 new train sets 7939 Cargo Train Talk about awesome! The engine is simply beautiful and very modern!! I love the choice of yellow as a color scheme! The crane is also very cool and a nice design. Red Transport Truck! Sweet! I really like it! Looks like we get 2 smart cars there The octan tanker car is brilliant and so is the LEGO one! I notice this set has track and PF!!! Smart of LEGO to change it up, they give you classic track and flexible! Just to show that no flexible wasn't going to replace the old track but instead make it better for layouts. Looks like the PF has been simplified? Now the motor is connected to the rechargeable battery box? Does it come with the charger cord? And btw this is all looking very very expensive However it will be worth it. 7938 Passenger Train Not as amazing as the Cargo Train, is my first impression. However the design is very nice and I like the red color scheme. Definitely a better model than the 2006 passenger train. I also like how its mostly brick built. LEGO must have had really bad sales with the flex track to give us 16 regular to make a circle plus 16 extra if the flex pieces. Guess that makes up for no straight? However 3 minifigures is terrible! The Metroliner had 11! None of them look that great either. Could have been better. But good improvement from 2006 7937 Train Station I was expecting a Grand central, metropolis type train station But I like this one anyway The puny Train station is cute. Not sure if its even would qualify as a station, maybe a waiting area, with storage building? Pedestrian overpass? That is really unnecessary as most of the time LEGO assumes Minifigs can float, hover and fly So I don't see the need now to give them special treatment? Way too many bricks and work went into, that could have been used to improve the station There is the Taxi we have been expecting! From the 3 TRU Exclusive artwork, the Taxi appears in 2 of them, so we expected to get one. Nicer deign than the artwork, but no doors, and can it even sit 2 Minifigs? Overall I like it because its different and nothing has been seen like this for a station, change ups every now and then are good. 7936 Level Crossing Well it is a level crossing I like everyone else was probably expecting a medium sized set like the World City one, that had a baseplate and building and trees However the reality is that level crossings in real life are very similar to this set. And now we can buy multiples! Cool small little train set, first small train set in a long time. We need more of these. We also could do with 4 packs of straight roadplates and 4 packs of curved roadplates 2010 City Trains did not disappoint

Thanks for the news! If the TRU exclusive the Truck Stop then it would be quite a disappointment All my dreams of Monorails and Town Centers will have been hopelessly crushed How could the least liked of the three choices win? Maybe its a fluke? I am assuming the TRU Truck is the LEGO Truck? Very awesome, and look at the little Lego set boxes! Would be redundant if they were sets of the LEGO Truck (Pic of a Pic) However looks a bit looong and narrow to me, maybe optical illusion? Also I don't like the way the trailer wheels are connected to the trailer. 8403 City House  Sounds great! Has loads of potential, and makes the City 2010 not as bad as I first thought Also I can park my camper in the driveway or garage, since it didn't really fit in with anything this year Now what is 8404 Fans choice?
  16. Nice little review! I look forward to when the pictures after being revised can be placed in again. (A excellent place to learn about is the Eurobricks Reviewers Academy ) This is a neat little civilian impulse! The baggage cart is clever and will pair up nicely with the larger Airport set. However I think the Farmer impulse will be more popular and hard to find because it has the Pig and is better overall than this one
  17. That video is awesome! Thanks for sharing it!! Really? I stand corrected Still they could be more common, and like you said, they sold quickly, possibly meaning they are popular.
  18. Another great review! I was never a fan of this set from the first time I saw it. Smart Cars in real life I don't like, so I would not like a LEGO version However I am going to buy this set, just for the Minifigure... The minifigure is a huge selling point for this set as he has a new torso and head Brings us much needed diversity among City Figs! Also this set is so cheap, why not buy it?

Good eyes! The minifigure has a new face! The grin is much sharper , at first I thought it was the same as the others.
  20. Oh that is good, it would be a pain to have to buy a regulator if you didn't already own one lol No Problem Is it easier to buy and save or buy and get? Personally I prefer in hand shopping as its more fun and exciting Nice! Talk them down, tell them this is an old set and modern ones are much better Not like being dishonest either as the store is charging a higher than normal price anyway.
  21. Brickset Mainly However I am making my own for personal reference a Rare/Special Parts List, Includes price I paid, how many I own and what parts I don't have.
  22. Piranha

    City 2010

Oh that sounds good to me now, thank you ! $30 for the Helicopter and Limo? I was thinking $50 or so, but who knows? I would prefer $30 myself
  23. Sorry I seem to be the one who started that Fixed This topic is the one with the most rigorous guidelines I have posted in \ (Besides the Reviewer's Academy of course )
  24. Very True!! They need to expand from beyond LSAH and LEGO Stores. This is something that has become new as I think 10 years ago or so LEGO Trains could be found at any Retail Shop (Target, Walmart), This would drive up sales as Trains are now easir to find for the average person who walks into the LEGO isle and says "Oh a LEGO Train" "Cool". Over having to look online and make inquires to whether or not LEGO even makes trains! Sure its easy for us because we know everything about everything when it comes to LEGO A branching out to all stores would be a smart move for LEGO to do, for Trains. Also consider selling the PF at LEGO store in a pack for trains or include them in the set, or invent a new way

    City 2010

Really? That is lame But I heard that all impulse cost $5 at TRU so I am not really surprised. Hopefully the retail store and LEGO stores price will be better. I also hope these are not TRU exclusives
