  1. Excellent Reviewing job you have done here Rufus Like WhiteFang pointed out I also like the real life reference picture, the similarity is striking. I also enjoyed the advantages of having a small/smart car The fig is brilliant and the main reason I would buy this set, but the car is fairly nice as well.
  2. Thanks for those pics! Great setup overall. I like how they used 9v despite they are PF
  3. Thanks Legomilk!! I really like the Spartan, Skier and Bandito Where is the surfer?
  4. Signed Temple of the Grail or something large
  5. Oh Cool a new castle theme!! The box art is great, I like the medieval styling Also I am extremely happy they returned to Human vs Human Just like in the old days of Forestmen, Black Falcons and such The sets look nice , and it is a good start for the theme.
  6. Interesting topic We hear rumors of upcoming LEGO sets, careful not to expect anything grand and be disappointed, but still relish them. I walk down the LEGO Isle or look on the online catalog when they come out. First thing I look for is instant appeal. This means box art and set features on the front and back. Since I am a City collector it is either buildings or vehicles. Then I look at the overall design of the set. If its a vehicle, then details are important. It has to look like the real life thing and look good in LEGO form too. For buildings it is kind of iffy, since most of the time they are open air. I look for interior details, and outside design/architecture. Then any nice little extras are always good, such as accessories. Lastly since I am City fan I look at the figs which are mediocre at best When compared to other themes, they aren't special but still functional. Maybe this is why I treasure a new or really cool fig for City because they are rare . Oh and I don't forget about the Price/piece points and what else I could spend the money on (other sets from other themes perhaps). Most of the time I instantly know if I like the set. Sometimes they have to grow on me, like the small car . And I always love a good surprise when building a large set, such as hidden details or features.
  7. Yeah I am number one on the reserves list!!! That is better than I had expected
  8. Spam him! Congrats Big Cam You are a true EB addict Arch Duke eh? I wonder what color the star will be.....
  9. C'mon they are RED trees!!!!
  10. Well I like them but yes they are much larger much more detailed scale. Over the years building styles change, so Town sets from 20 years ago, will be vastly different from todays That said, Modular buildings are a completely different ball park, they should be their own theme with their own forum

Yes, who knows, LEGO could even take out the pig, however I doubt that or else it would make alot of people angry

  13. Depends what time spent means Thinking about LEGO- all the time Looking at LEGO- most of the time Building LEGO- Rarely, only when I get set Browsing EB- Alot of the time
  14. Lady in Grey: "These aren't the plates your looking for" Lady in Red: Yes they are actually
  15. Cool topic I voted: Yes they should Both I really don't care
  16. Seems like such a common topic but yet I don't think this question has ever been asked Mine are: 1. City/Town 2. Trains I also like most themes, Indiana Jones, Castle, Pirates, Etc... But the # ones are my top 2.
  17. I would like to join if its ok Yes Im back everyone
  18. I will add my name to this list. A historic type Feudal Japan theme where we have Ninja vs Samurai would be awesome. Just imagine if they got into civlian type sets eventually.
  19. No, but I will next time I get a set (that is applicable of course)
  20. Ok they are sometimes useful
  21. Batcave, by far, took me like 6hrs Normally I'm fine with long builds but this was just frustrating. Numbered bags anyone?
  22. Interesting topic GREEN is for Grass BLUE is for Water RED is for...... Well I would use a red SYSTEM baseplate for flooring of some type, clay dessert, a red tide in the water Oh and other planets, Mars Mission Dioramas and such
  23. I saw the ipad and yes the name is ok ( ) , I thought it was going to be called the islate or something similar It looks like well a huge ipod touch. However it does have different features and is cool. I won't be replacing a laptop anytime soon with one of these however , I think this as an attachment on a Macbook, where the screen separates (physically) into this tablet mode and then you can attach it back to the main unit would be nice. Now this over a netbook, definitely, because well a netbook is like miniature laptop, cute, but kind of pointless I always thought. This is different and a great replacement.
  24. Great review! I have enjoyed all of your Airport/line reviews you have done However they make me want them all and that is a bad thing My personal favorite of the "Flight" sets. The Helicopter is really very nice and quite easily one of the best done by LEGO. Ah yes the sticker on the tail I thought it was funny how it has an Air Taxi sticker as I thought the guy in the suit owned it outright, not as rich as we thought huh? The limo is the huge eye catcher of this set as I don't think there has ever been a limo done by LEGO. There is a first time for everything I guess. Both have decent interiors, the limo gets bonus for having that TV As for the Minifigures, they are great. I especially like the stewardess Now maybe a new suit torso for the rich guy would have been nice but you can't have everything I suppose. I might buy this full price or wait for the clearance

A review would be nice *cough* *cough* Would you say this is better than the Coastguard Helicopter which previously I had considered the best?
