Patience. Just2good will post whatever info it is that he has soon enough. What I'm more curious and excited for is the potential preliminary pictures that could begin to surface soon. Based on the past, what time of year do the summer prelims usually leak? Because the names alone from The Force Awakens sets likely won't give us that much insight to what the sets will actually include.

Now that we know we're getting a new helmet in 2015, I'm torn as to whether i should get the new Star Destroyer now, or wait till whatever set this new Vader will come with. Any suggestions?

So I just noticed something EXTREMELY exciting! Theres a couple new wallpapers on the LEGO website that exclusively feature Imperials. The first one features Darth Vader as we know him from this years Star Destroyer. http://cache.lego.com/r/www/r/starwars/-/media/franchises/lego%20starwars/empire%20takeover/empire%20media/lsw_14w52_vadertie_1600x1200.jpg?l.r2=2039926212 The second one features Vader, Sheev and the Inquisitor. http://cache.lego.com/r/www/r/starwars/-/media/franchises/lego%20starwars/empire%20takeover/empire%20media/lsw_14w52_inquisitor_1600x1200.jpg?l.r2=72784800 Look closely at Vader's helmet in the second image... its a new mold! The eyes are completely different! This is remarkable!

Thanks for the feedback! I would also love to see some of the animals from the battle, but new molds always drive the prices of sets up. I was trying to come up with ideas that would all land at around 60$-75$. Also, I thought about battle packs, but seeing as LEGO has never given the Middle-Earth themes the battle packs they deserved, I thought to just cram 8 orcs in the sets.

Hmmm... so theres already rumours for the Summer 2015 sets? Some would say its just2good to be true... Sorry for the awesome pun, I couldn't help myself. I hope this rumour has something to do with the shot from the TFA trailer with the new Stormies. We'll likely get a set based on whatever that scene is (and for anyone who keeps up to date with the most current rumours and leaks from the production will know what scene this is believed to be). As for the reviews that just2good has been posting, I thank you sir. I must say, the Shadowtrooper BP is probably my favourite battle pack LEGO has ever released. Those Stormies look so flipping' awesome, and the lightspear-weilding Shadow Guards (I dunno if that is their real name, I just think it sound accurate and also cool) are simply amazing. I also love this set so much because its inspired from some of the more obscure parts of the EU, and to see sets based on such things this far into Disney's decision to shelf the EU seems surprising. Hopefully this means we might see more EU sets in the future, but that is a very slim chance. We should cherish this set while we can. I sense it may be the last of the EU sets we ever get, at least for a good long while.

They've started using that as the universal 'generic baddie trooper' face. I bet we'll see it on the TFA stormies as well.

So I saw the movie a couple days ago. I loved every second of it! However, its sadly made me bitter about these sets. Mainly the Battle of Five Armies set. I've done some thinking, and have come of with an alternate version of this wave with an extra set or two. The Lonely Mountain: This set is perfect in my opinion. However, switch the Bilbo fig for the crowned Thorin we got and thats much better. Attack on Lake-Town: This set is also fine. No need to change it. Witch-King Battle: Should've been bigger and included two of the Nazgul in their ghostly Second Age outfits. Now here is where I think we needed an extra set. Rather than have one Battle of Five Armies set, split it in to three sets that focus on the three main areas of the fight: The Ruins of Dale: The build itself could be the same as Battle of Five Armies, with the tower and such, but remove the ballista and replace it with a catapult troll. The figs could be Bard, Alfrid, Percy, and four armoured Gundabad orcs, and Gwahir. Battle for Erebor: This could have the ruined gates of Erebor, and include Dain, Thranduil in armour, two armoured Iron Hill dwarves, two armoured Mirkwood elves, four armoured Gundabad orcs and an armoured troll. Duel at Ravenhill: Obviously depicting the climax of the film, the set could include Thorin in his battle outfit, Azog in his armour, Bilbo, Legolas and Bolg, and maybe a couple big bats for something to chase Bilbo. If LEGO had had access to more detailed and accurate materials before they designed the sets, and made more sets, this is what I'd want to see. But alas, this will never happen.

I agree with that. I hope this big set is from The Force Awakens. Whatever it is, it would sell like mad. And if its a fall release (or at least thats what has been rumoured), it could be a tie-in for the movie.
-
What Death Star sized set? I've not heard of this yet.
-
While that is likely the case, the in-story reason could simply be that there has been a progression in droid technology over the course of the 30 years that have passed since ROTJ. Having in-story explanations is always better, and you can usually find one for most things in Star Wars.

A UCS TIE sounds pretty damn cool. However, perhaps they'll include a minifig? And, with August 2015 being only a few months before the release of The Force Awakens, perhaps they could include an early preview fig of John Boyega's character? I know the chances are probably pretty slim, but it could be a very smart move; it would help hype up the new film, and also the TIE would sell crazy more than it would normally.

What I meant was more along the lines of 'There is probably a reason that the new Sith lightsaber has the cross guard other than it just looks cool'. One thing that Lucas originally set out to achieve with A New Hope, from a design standpoint, was to make any props of technology and ships look practical, as if they've been around for a while and have a lived-in feeling. He completely lost sight of that in the Prequels, so a lot of stuff got designed based simply on how cool it looked. I believe that Disney is trying to steer things back into the realm Lucas originally set out to create, so designs for new ships or weapons aren't random, theres a reason for them.
-
Why? I'd say it looks pretty spot on perfect. And while the clip is a really cool touch, it makes me worried that without the lightsaber on his back, the armour could seem a bit bulky and look dumb. Hopefully thats not the case!
-
Exactly. If the rumours are true, this new saver will make sense. Thats actually my view on most of what we've heard so far. I believe that everything that is in this new film looks the way or is the way it is for a reason. Theres gotta be enough of a reason for everything, to avoid things being simply random.

Or maybe just a silver 'glove' , nudge nudge, say no more!

I'm not used to reading those sorts of threads. So disorganized, and such a wretched hive of scum and villainy. In regards to what he spoiled... all I'll say is that some of it falls in line with rumours we've heard, while the majority took me by surprise. I am excited... part of me just feels that I shouldn't have read it.

My belief is that just because the Death Star II was destroyed, and both Vader and Palpatine killed, doesn't mean that an entire Galaxy-wide government would collapse. At the end of ROTJ, the Rebels are still a rather small group compared to the legions that the Empire would still have on Coruscant alone. So, how would they have the ability and resources to take control of an entire Galaxy when their are probably tons of Moffs and Admirals who could take over the Empire. But who knows.

One thing I'm really hoping is that LEGO does away with the micro-fighter sets in favour of more sets placed around the 30-50$ range. My hope is that we get 10 sets: 2 big flagship sets above 100$, 2 or 3 sets around 60-80$, 3 or 4 sets around 30-40$, and then small sets like battle packs and small ships between 15-25$. And hopefully the whole wave is 100% The Force Awakens (which is most likely, since such was the case with ROTS in 2005 and The Clone Wars in 2008). Also, I really hope that we get only the necessary variants for the characters (so if Boyega only has two costumes through the whole film, we should get only two versions of his character, to avoid main character repetition, which never really has been that huge of an issue with Star Wars).

What, a new saber hilt? Small molds like that aren't too expensive, especially when its just an alternate version of an existing piece. I can see them doing something similar to they piece: http://img2.wikia.no...f_Lightning.png Just add an extra hole at the top and you've got it. Plus, my guess is that most of the new molds will be helmets, with the most expensive molds being new alien and droid characters.
-
Yeah, thats the one thing from then trailer that I'm worried about. Hopefully the find a way to make it without the hilt being ridiculously large. Plus, they'll need super tiny re blades for the cross guard.
-
He's the main character, so it makes sense.
-
Ok, so now that I've watched the trailer about 6 times in a row, here are my thoughts and hopes for the new sets: Firstly, we'll likely end up with a ton of new molds: new Astromech ball droid, Stormie helmets, Daisy Ridley's headgear, the new lightsaber hilt, new X-Wing pilot helmet. Second, I think we'll see some sets based on these: The Falcon (duh), the new X-Wings, new TIEs, perhaps a set based on Daisy Ridley's speeder, and maybe whatever vehicle it is that has the Stormtroopers in it. Lastly, I'm just sooooo excited! I've never been so excited for anything before in my life! This movie can't come soon enough!!!!!

I'm seriously surprised this hasn't been posted here yet! The Force Awakens teaser trailer! Feast your eyes on true awesomeness!

As much as I want more Ventress stories, I can't imagine her being cast in a live-action anything. Nika Futterman's performance in CW is so unique, I just can't see anyone else playing the character.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion
Fives replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow, overall this is an incredible series! So many new pieces! But HOLY CRAP that Goblin is so awesome! I'm gonna need to get a bunch of them to beef up my Servants of Sauron army!
