  1. I believe people have misinterpreted the collectible mini figures comment in the press release. I think what they are talking about are the minifigs that will be collectible along with the sets, rather than a separate line of collectible minifigs based off the films. I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if the license works the same as the SW one.
  2. I just realized that we will be seeing pictures of the sets from the toy fair in February! That's only a month and a half away!
  3. There is no emoticon in the world that can express my excitement for this! I have been waiting for this license since 2001! Bravo LEGO!
  4. That Obi-Wan is by far the BEST Obi-Wan EVER! I rarely get this excited over minifigs, but this one is just perfect. I love the fact that the beard has almost no detail, it feels really LEGO-ish. Also, the double sided head is perfect!
  5. That's great news, grogall. Are there any pics of Obi-Wan?
  6. I'm loving the new Stormie face. The print doesn't look that faded. I mean, the old Jango head was pretty faded, but it was still fine. Speaking of Jango, does anyone else believe that this new face might mean the long-awaited return of Jango Fett? Also, I really hope that this Old Republic fighter is not a EU ship. Any time that LEGO has done something from the EU it fails horribly, albeit we may get some great figs. If a set had Nihilus or Malgus, than I will probably get it. Also, I really want the Felucian fighter to turn out to be an Umbarran fighter.
  7. These are really great! But I gotta say, the funniest part is that I just saw the Matrix Wars on Flickr literally two minutes ago!
  8. Ya, the minifig hand print is much better! LEGO would never use a human hand, they would use a LEGO one. It just adds that much more authenticity to the figs.
  9. These are stunning! They look like they could be official figs. Amazing work! Once the new ARC Trooper is out in the new year, would you consider making a Fives in his ARC armour? Because then I would buy one!
  10. Because its cool, and if it's there people will more likely use it if its there. I mean, anyone who has Jango probably had his helmet off more so you could see his face, rather than keep his helmet on.
  11. Strange that the Jedi Interceptor is not listed. I was really hoping that there might be a more detailed look at the new Kenobi.
  12. I came up with an idea for new BPs today. I know that TLG'S just came up with the idea of Planet Sets, but I would much rather have four BPs a year. Two would be the standard trooper ones as usual, but I thought there could be two more, possibly in the summer wave of sets, that have main characters. There would be the limit of four figs, but there would be Jedi and Sith rather than just plain troops. My first idea is based on the final duel in AOTC Duel with a Sith Lord Figs: New non-CW Dooku, new Yoda, new AOTC Obi-Wan and new AOTC Anakin. Included could be Dooku's speeder, and maybe a small doorway that Yoda walks through, with a possible collapsing function like how Dooku brings down the roof of Yoda.
  13. I changed my vote from the ARC trooper to the new Obi-Wan. As mu has the ARC is an amazing fig, and by far the best CW yet, but the old ROTS Obi-Wan has always been my favourite Obi-Wan fig, so to see him have an update, which is very much needed, is really great. Now all we need is a new non-CW version of Dooku, Yoda, and new AOTC Obi-Wan and Anakin and I will be happy!
  14. I just noticed something about the Jedi Interceptor set: As we all know, the little lava droid and platform that Obi-Wan and Anakin fight on are included in theset, but why I didn't noticed until now is that the two little platforms are sitting on some clear cylinder pieces and under that are little round sections of orange fire and such, representing the lava beneath the Jedi and Sith. Look closely, and you'll see it. I just thought it was a cool detail for LEGOto include.
  15. I don't remember Dooku cheating in ROTS. But, I have a theory as to why Obi-Wan was so easily taken care of by Dooku. In AOTC, Obi-Wan fought Dooku alone, and lost. If it hadn't had been for Anakin's intervention than Kenobi would have died. But, also, Anakin lost in that duel as well. It showed how Dooku was a much more powerful Sith than Maul was. Then, in ROTS, Obi-Wan was still not powerful enough to defeat Dooku, but over the course of the war, Anakin's power had grown, and thus he was able to kill Dooku.
  16. Wow! We haven't seen the likes of this since Jango Fett. I do really like the idea, and it will become very useful for MOCs and such, but I get what you mean by faceless Stormies. Still, this is great news!
  17. I have never bought a set with the intention of keeping it sealed. I buy sets to build them and thus make my collection grow. The longest I have left a set unbuilt was about seven or eight months. It was the minifig scale ISD, and at the time it was the largest set I'd bought. When I finally built it, it took me a while, and was rather frustrating, but it one of my favorite sets in my display (not because it is great to play with, but it just looks really cool. Also, I never take my sets apart. Ever since about 2006, I have kept almost all my SW sets built, besides really little things that are kinda lame. I see no reason to keep sets in boxes unless you intend to sell them, or you just have a weird love for unopened toys.
  18. Is it just me, or are the beams on the mini pod racer pink lightsaber blades? If yes, than that is so cool!
  19. This latest episode was pretty good. I really liked the whole undercover idea. Also, the nod to ROTJ was really great. There is just one thing: Why is Obi-Wan getting the crap kicked out of him in these episodes! I mean, what the hek! He is Obi-Wan fricken Kenobi! He can do better than this!
  20. I just thought of a way around the whole licensing issue. If that toy company has the rights for The Hobbit toys, that does not necessarily mean that they hold the license for construction toys. As mentioned before, it is like the SW license. Has bro holds the rights to make single action figures, whereas LEGO cannot sell SW mini figures without some sort of building component. That is why the BPs always have some sort of lame speeder or something. This may turn out the same for LOTR/TH. Who knows? All I can say is that I can't wait for these sets if they are true!
  21. Like a Bossk! Classic! Great work, as always!
  22. Thank you, Whail Musca. Your compliments are most appreciated. Wiol du Mitgardian lif!
  23. My lord Jarl Nibelung, I bring news from the deep parts of the mountains. My elf friend Aryana and I were traveling through the hills when we came across an old abandoned tower. Here is the report:
  24. Mitgardians should guard it, of course! But really, nice job! It is a really cool idea to have a neutral meeting place. I have never seen that technique before, but it is really cool!
  25. When should we expect seeing reviews of these sets? Isn't it usually by December?
