Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Brickadeer replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I basically agree on your first point. It makes the concept of death more difficult to predict, which means that potentially, noone is dead for sure. I wonder whether Maul will have been revived or whether he was kept alive. I would not say though that it means that Filoni is running out of ideas. TCW has explored a couple of topics that neither the OT nor the PT explored, and this time again they are exploring possibilities of the concept of the Force, of things that can be done. And I think that TCW is a great opportunity to do so. This time, they have come with something fancy, that rises some serious question: how can he be alive? What about the rule of two? For me, Star Wars is a fictional fantasy universe, and I want to be told good stories. That's why I think that original concepts shouldn't be interpreted too narrow. If the usage of the Force would be still about influencing the mind of the weak and moving little objects through the air, the Star Wars universe would be rather boring and sterile So basically, I see it quite different: they guys are not running out of ideas, but they still have couple of fancy ideas that may seem a bit odd and over the edge to a couple of SW fans. -

I don't understand your points. It would be nice if you could explain to us why the idea "further liken the Clone Wars TV show to the garbage of the Expanded Universe, and why one of the best things about Maul was the fact that "he had very little to say in Episode I". I can't see that your first point neither is good nor bad per se. Your second point is an expression of your personal preferences. -
I like it, and I think you caught the major features of the speeder pretty well! You may be right, but as he wrote, he simply lacks the proper bricks to make changes that might be otherwise desireable. Besides that, the engines are blocky in shape:

Hi, my question is: I wondered for how long the stickers actually can be used, that is removed from the sheet, applied to bricks, and remain applied to bricks? Does it make sense to keep sticker sheets stored for 5, 10, or 20 years, or even longer? And what is the best way to store them? Any valid information on this issue?

Ideas for New Action Themes
Brickadeer replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Sorry for the double post, but I have not been aware of this thread. Personally, I wondered why Lego did not yet come up with a 19th Century Sherlock Holmes like theme. It had the potential to integrate the Pharao theme (or other monster themes); it could be semi-realistic and offer Steampunk-scenarios; with the criminal background, it has a potential for a board game. It could integrate other themes or regions as well (19th century India including a mythological theme like the Kali cult that is plotting in 19th century England as well). A "Greek mythology" theme migh work as well, especially since it is relatively popular because of recent films like "Troja" or "Clash of the Titans". It could be connected to other mythologies as well. -

No, the pauldrons are still sealed. Plus, it hides a lot from the body I still have one unpacked black pauldron, maybe I'll make some other shots tomorrow.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion

Since the legs are supposed to be avionic (that is "bird-like" just like General Grievous' legs), I don't think so. -
I voted for the Sandtrooper and Jabba. The Sandtrooper looks more iconic than the ARC Trooper. Both the design and the printing of the helmet of the Sandtrooper look better than the design of the helmet of the ARC Trooper. The printing of the ARC helmet seems to be more accurate, but that's due to the fact that the mold lacks certain details of the mold of the Sandtrooper helmet ("mouth", black dotts of the "breathing tubes"). While I'm rather pleased with the Sandtrooper's pauldron design, I cannot say the same of the ARC Trooper: I'm quite underwhelmed by how the combination of pauldron and armor was realized, and I don't think that the solution works for other figures, e.g. Commander Colt or Captain Rex. So while my first impression was that the ARC Trooper could serve pretty well as a Christmas Tree for Santa Yoda, I do no longer think that it's really that bad. Actually, I find that it's a pretty good minifigure that looks best if it's combined with a couple of plain clones. But I cannot understand why so many people are so enthusiastic about it. In the second category, I voted for Jabba, although it can hardly be called a minifigure.

Finally, I got myself some of the new Sandtroopers I'm very pleased with the accurate torso- and legprinting. Compared e.g. to the plain standard clone (8014), this is a huge advantage I also find that they added some nice details that had skipped my attention so far, e.g. the metallic silver, very small printings on the backside of torso:

Well, there's still the possibility that Savage doesn't stand but kneels on the picture But I think that with avionic legs, he will be taller than Savage. -

Good work I have to agree that she's looking more female in the Lego Clone Wars style, that is like Aayla Secura or Barriss Offee. -

Great find After being left by the Nightsisters, her Jedi Master, and finally Count Dooku, I agree that loneliness is a recurring theme in Ventress's life. I was hoping that she'd finally make it back to the light side. Currently, I find her to be the most tragic figure of TCW. -
Buying LEGO from other countries on-line stores
Brickadeer replied to Siegfried's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Why don't you order from amazon.com anyway? It seems cheaper (US-$ 218.00 = EUR 165,82) and shipping is cheaper as well. -
If I remember correctly, Smaug was pretty huge, and I do not believe that a US $29.99 set can do him justice.

I think the eyes need to be closer together, too. Plus, the eyes appear to be too horizonal, the outer angles need to be slightly higher (I think that's why she looks a bit retarded). -
I like green. It looks different. And green reminds me of "swamp", "Dagobah", "Kashyyk", "episode 3 Commander Gree", and "Kashyyk Trooper". I never was too enthusiastic about little Yoda hopping around like a rubber ball, but that's a different thing.

I like Ventress, so I'm looking forward to see how her story continues. I wonder if she'll be alone again if Dooku should kill the Nightsisters, or if the title "Massacre" refers to a different event. -
Thanks. It appears to me though that remarks from all my lists are displayed even if I select a single wanted list in a store.

I'm using different Wanted Lists, mostly created from parted out sets. In these cases, the item quantity is determined by the set. My problem is that when I hit the "Show All Items this store has on my Wanted List (All Items)" in a shop, only those items are displayed that match the wanted quantity as well. Is there any way to display all items from the Wanted List, no matter what quantity is set?
