  1. US sensor is only in education sets. Retail has the black eyes.. Infrared I guess. So no US sensor in retail sets.
  2. Here you go: http://educationnews.legoeducation.us/Press-Kits/132/LEGO-MINDSTORMS-Education-EV3-Press-Kit
  3. Don't think it has build in WiFi capability. Would be awesome. As Xander stated it will probably be via a dongle.. To types of motors WITH encoders. Seem to be smaller too than the NXT ones.. Btw EV3 sounds awesome too in my opinion..
  4. I think it is the same white as the StarWars sets combined with LBG. A lot of good info: http://botbench.com/blog/2013/01/07/lego-mindstorms-ev3-announced/
  5. 100gb of ram seems quite unlikely.. However, you can use BricxCC (free - c programming), LeJOS (free - java) or RobotC (30dollar - c programming). However the NXT-G is very easy to use. Textprogamming already a bit more difficult.
  6. I translated what Dennis16 wrote above : 'Hi, Are you Luc who participated with the LEGO Technic Master Builder Competition? I also participated and I made a few beautiful creations right now.' Erik was faster than me..
  7. I own a iPhone 4s 32gb. It has a 8megapixel camera and I use it very often to post pictures on Facebook, Flickr,.. It is a good camera, but making good videos with it is quite a challenge. If you want an iPhone for your work I would buy one, you can definitly use it for showing your Lego creation to us.
  8. I have found this on the internet, not sure if this is 'fake' since nobody else has found this 'bug'. Nice app though. http://www.xyster.net/blog/?p=89
  9. Here is a little video I made without motor. I will upload some detailed pictures this week. MOVIE
  10. This saturday we had a robotcontest and we had to create a robot that could grab and lift a can. Most robots were 'selfmade' and could use as many motors/servos as they want to, but I used a NXT and had only 3 motor ports. So, I invented a mechanism that was able to do both actions with only one motor using a lego differential. This design had to be as light as possible and a NXT motor was too heavy, so I used a PF medium motor with the Mindsensor Glidewheel sensor instead. This sensor was very usefull since I tried a lot of designs before saturday and non were successful. I designed and programmed this robot in only 6 hours, gripper design included. I was very satisfied with the outcome. This is still a WIP, I am sure that I can make this design better. (and maybe make it work with a NXT servo motor.) Programming was done in LeJOS. Ramacco
  11. I think you told me about a new project with those wheels. We'll talk soon :)
  12. I meant if the driving rings don't reduce the power between in and output. When I tried using those (only one time, because I think it's not accurate enough in TrTr, but this is probably again on of those endless discussions.) I got the problem that the driving ring sometimes pops out of the 16t gear (or the 16t got damaged). Then the power between in- and output is different. Not sure if you have this problem with the pneumatic cylinders.
  13. Good MOC. I like the differential lock, but don't you lose power? I can't imagine that a locked differential gives the same torque as 2 knobs or bevels. And as you pointed out: Han's 3 bogies suspension is pretty weak (because there is not enough reduction), but you can definitely make a similar setup which can deliver good TrTr performances. I'm currently prototyping an articulated 6x6 dumper (Hydrema or Volvo) with 3 bogies suspension similar to the one from Han. But reinforced and without the differentials and of course with portal hubs. However, I'm not sure how this will turn out.
  14. or this: Good luck and keep us posted about this !!
  15. Brickshelf - recent updates - technic
  16. Sorry for bumping this topic. Still WIP, but a big robot. Good job
  17. True. Just make your own topic instead of making 10 topics a week from things you don't even finish. I think there is more than supscriptions only.. I thought we were building because we are passionated by it.. Not to become popular in a ordinary way.
  18. I can't and won't sell it because it is a BetaVersion from Mindsensors.
  19. I'm considering to buy the parts to build 4 of those. Via skype Esrtiece told me that number 3 are the best ones. Still not sure because the 2x2 bent pin connectors are rather expensive.. Thanks ZBLJ and Esrtiece for charing. Thanks Esrtiece for the good advice ;)
