  1. Well, I have to say I'm disappointed by Mace's fighter. It's a little more colorful than I was expecting, but most of that is stickers and random tiles sitting on top of the plates. Normally this would be an easy pass...if it weren't for the tactical droid.
  2. I'm not sure you could ruin a space slug. Maybe... -They're suddenly sentient and order Chinese after missing the ship -They can fly using hyperdrives from the ships they've eaten -They also come in purple, lime green, and orange Hey, just throwing out ideas here. Then again, the animators did a great job with the Dejarik table...
  3. I'm guessing it was just slapped together when somebody realized that it was pretty close to the actual size of the phone. Certainly not a fantastic MOC. And hey! No Windows-bashing, One-Button Wonder.
  4. Perfectly fine. The one-liners in the CW are terrible.
  5. What a beautiful set. TLC needs to keep coming out with historical models like this (and at such a nice price, too!) A series of cars and planes would be amazing, and it would probably lure in some model fans, too. Unfortunately, I was too young at the time to care about a model like this. Great story. Any chance you could take pictures? That must've been one heck of a great piano model.
  6. It's kind of strange to use a small vignette like that as a piece... but I like it. The AT-AT and Hoth cannons are really nice, but the Emperor's hologram is my favorite. We really do need a big SW chess set, something like the Castle one a few years back.
  7. Nice job. Hey, if you turn it with it's nose up, it looks like the Gundark's ears! (Sorry... couldn't resist.) I love the shape of it. The up-turned engines/cannons are wonderful, as are the 'intakes'. Very sleek.
  8. Ugh, another exclusive. Please please not TRU- the closest one is hundreds of miles away, not to mention their markup. Fingers crossed for Target or Wal-mart!
  9. Well, it's more a matter of ability. His mouth is a tube. We can't expect every species to be able to speak Basic. Thanks! Hmm. We'll see how this works. Personally I'm hoping for Mandalore to fall so we can have the real Mandos back. By the way, not very pacifistic for those guards with the flamethrowers, now is it?
  10. I'll just pin it down to "they didn't think about it when they were naming them." Or they hadn't thought of the Aurubesh letter system until after they named the ships.
  11. Yaaah! Another Oregonian! I think that makes three now, including myself. I'm from Bend. Welcome! Glad you found your way here. Oh, and you came here at an interesting time. Check here if you're confused...not that it really clears much up.
  12. Just watched the episode. My thoughts: -If this is ANH Greedo, why is he speaking Basic? This has been bugging me with a lot of alien races. Very few speak their own language. ...and a few minutes later we hear Jabba speaking Huttese and a few Twi'leks speaking... something. -The first knife I've seen in TCW. Wielded by a politician. Hmm. -The scene bartering with Jabba seemed weak. I wouldn't be surprised if the request for a bounty hunter to take the hostages went through Jabba himself. Jabba seems really softhearted for a guy who feeds dancers to a Rancor for amusement. -Mos Eisley looks great. -"I want my litigator..."
  13. A simple *bleep* and look what happens. The poor Count, such a lonely guy. On a related note, we were talking about Lewis structures in chemistry today. After the professor finished counting electrons, someone in the back shouted "Ah, ah, ah..." It was probably funnier to me since I saw the video.
  14. *Has sudden mental image of Edward.* Thanks. I'll be afraid of that for the rest of the season.
  15. Pretty much, yeah. The value of this set is amazing. $150 for 2025 pieces is astounding. A definite must-buy. I'm not sure if Ollivander's or Gringotts is my favorite. Ollivander's seems the most accurate- I can almost see the chipped black paint. Gringotts sure looks nice on the outside, but it sure is bare on the inside... whereas Ollivander's is super-cluttered. I wish it was arranged in more of an alley shape, though. Gringotts and Ollivander's work well together, but Borgin & Burke's just doesn't fit in at all. It's on a completely different alley... oh well. Still looks nice, though. All we need now is the rearranging brick wall.
  16. Huh. Maybe we're all just seeing things. I don't know about you guys, but my username just says "Awesome." I guess we all see what we want to see.
  17. Yes... We're all diehard fans of the Muppets, and we're celebrating the new season. What, you're not? I thought everybody was as excited as we were. Seriously, guys, really? Who would ever put Muppets in their usernames?
  18. I surprised that none of the minis have leg printing. Lego seems to be doing it just about everywhere now, but none of these have it. Aurra Sing, Sugi, Embo, and the Mandos would look very nice with leg printing.
  19. Can't say I've ever been on TV, but I did show up for about five seconds on AFOLS: a blocumentary with my camera. Three showings? Wow, that's impressive. Too bad about the third question, though. But go for the third time! After all, your 'good luck turned bad' is only about 50-50. Still good chances.
  20. Star Wars in 3D Er...woohoo? I don't get it. Star Wars wasn't filmed in 3D. There's a difference between actual 3D cameras and digitally editing the film to make it just look like 3D. Avatar was filmed in 3D; Clash of the Titans was edited to 'look' 3D as an afterthought, and look how that turned out. Still, if that's a chance to go see the original trilogy in theaters, I might just go see it.
  21. I love that Gungan soldier. The new torso print, as well as the trans shield, is amazing. Apart from the blue droids with printing, I'm also seeing two droids with dark tan bodies and tan printing. I really hope that's not a trick of the light. New cockpit on the V-wing. I'm starting to like the green clones more. I'm irritated the bomb squad troopers still have one white arm, though. Sugi is kind of meh. Her hair style just doesn't work well on a mini, and yet the 'bald' approach doesn't work, either. I'm really hoping the Mandos have black heads. I don't like the appearance of a sliver of fleshie showing beneath a helmet... and I've used up all my black heads on my clones. Oh well, off to bricklink.
  22. I usually hate picking up the dog poop. I wouldn't mind using this, though. Great MOC, great idea.
  23. It was a good episode, but I would have liked it better if the assassin had actually been competent. Running and sniping? Getting within ten feet to snipe someone? Not a very smart move.
  24. This theme is a mess, in my opinion. There's just too much going on. In one set, there's a ninja being chased by a skeleton with a helmet riding a chopper... and in the next there's a dragon, and in the next there's target practice. I just don't get what it's supposed to be. Is it like the fantasy-era castles were, but with ninjas? No. Is it futuristic? Not really.
