  1. A new trilogy? Oh dear. Oh please, please, please. Continuity is one of the things in SW that bugs me the most, and if that's out of the way...whew. And Lucas? Please listen to the fans this time. No more politics. We want more swashbuckling action, the way the original trilogy was. And, most of all, we want better actors. We want talented, iconic, and funny actors. Because, Lucas, we've seen your attempts at humor. And we hated it. Jar-Jar was not funny. Please, no more tailoring it to the kiddies. Funny, the thing that stands out to me the most right now is that we could have new John Williams music.
  2. Not completely. His arms are darker on the 'outside', and lighter on the underside- sort of like a bad tan. It just looks strange to me being completely dark flesh.
  3. Best part? Leg printing.
  4. Thanks! Pasted below: Interesting. I'm not entirely sure why, but the torso prints look...different. It looks like the lines between the armor plates are bigger, or there's something in between them. I have no idea. Does that turret have more than one barrel? Or is it just a black technic pin? Either way, it's great.
  5. Wow. If that's going to be the 'Battle of Geonosis', then I'm really disappointed. Silly me, I was expecting an arena battle. With, oh, say...Geonosians, Jango, some Jedi...maybe a Padme (Yeah...right.) and possibly a monster. Instead we get a terrible speeder bike, so-so proton cannon, two figs, and three droids. Woo-hoo. Luminara is the high point in this set. She looks good, from what I can tell. However, getting Rex again is a disappointment. I would have loved to get Gree and perhaps one or two of her troopers, but... Geonosians would have been great, as well. While I'm certain we'll get them in the starfighter, that will be one or two figs, at most. On top of that, this set strikes me as kind of bare. I'm guessing it's going to be a ridiculously overpriced set, just like Bariss and the swamp speeder.
  6. Damn. I don't mind one or two prequels, but this is getting ridiculous. Imagine how confused the little kiddies at home must be.
  7. New webcomic is up! And this is the closest we'll ever get to femtroopers, so be grateful.
  8. My point is that she's an add-on. She's been chucked into the plot. But, she's also Anakin's Padawan. Anakin gets extremely attached to his friends- how do you think the death of his Padawan would affect him? If Ahsoka had been pre-planned, and shown, even just one of many Jedi dying in the Order 66 montage, then it would be fine by me- similar to the way that the Clone Wars was only hinted at in Episode IV. So, I suppose my gripe with her is also one of continuity.
  9. I would argue that Anakin shouldn't have a Padawan because she wasn't mentioned at all in Episode III. She was thrown in as an afterthought. Lucas went up to Filoni, said, "I want Anakin to have a Padawan.
  10. Wow. I really didn't notice that. And now that I look closer...everything's out of scale. Pieces don't attach like that. Ow. So, here's the new question: Why edit it?
  11. Geonosian fighter sounds right. The two brown points look like the tell-tale prongs of the fighter to me. I'm guessing the black is shadow...?
  12. Source: blame it on the voices Their link to the original content was broken, so I'm assuming that they're MOCs. Well done MOCs, too. What a great advertisement these could be. Apologies if it's been posted before. EDIT: Aaaaaaaaaand this is what you get when it's late at night and you don't look closely enough.
  13. Uh oh. Everybody get ready for...Aurra Sing retconning time! According to the article, there's a "history that hasn't been told," and that it's up to George Lucas and Dave Filoni. Which pretty much means that George is going to completely disregard anything that's previously existed about her.
  14. Well, we've already had a Consular. The Ep. I one, of course, but personally I'd prefer to see something new come out, not just a recolor. But, of course, that's just my opinion, as I think the Pelta is just such a neat little ship.
  15. While a UCS minifig doesn't make any sense, a UCS Cloud City could be fantastic. So....does a Geonosian not count as a pilot to you?
  16. Ooh, a windmill. So glad to hear that Kingdoms hasn't completely dried up yet... Maybe there's hope for next year. Hopefully it will be in a similar scale to MMV, so it can make a good add-on.
  17. To people who say that the Geonosian and Endor BPs can't exist because they're not related: You're partially right. True, they're in entirely different Trilogies, but not all of the BPs are direct enemies. The Death Watch and the clone army never actually fought each other, yet they're still opposing BPs. True, these are more realistic than Geonosis & Endor, both being in the CW, but it's food for though. Here's another idea- maybe TLC divides the BPs in two. Two bad guys and two good guys in each BP. Most people buy one of each anyway, so if you buy two, you still have the same number of troops. It would also be very fitting for TLC's current strategy of putting random bad guys/good guys in every set for playability. The first list is slightly more realistic, but still unlikely. Personally I'm curious to see a better Podracer, so I'm hoping it's true, but I'm still very skeptical. Second list: Not even going to contemplate it being true. It's my ideal lineup, so it can't possibly be true. Here's hoping for a captain or commander, then. D'oh! I never considered the CW version of Geonosis. Bose troopers, ARFs, and flame-troopers would be amazing.
  18. A meh episode in my book. The dialogue, one of my main concerns, was all right, but the plot was lacking. So...if Satine suspected this, why didn't she just check the government warehouses? This would've been a good episode for a costume change for Ahsoka. Her outfit is hardly fitting for a teaching position. Seems the kids could get a little...distracted, seeing as they are roughly the same age. At least put on a robe or something.
  19. Really? I didn't know that. Too bad he didn't do them for TCW, though...
  20. I haven't played it either, although I really want to. Unfortunately, I don't have an Xbox. I wonder if my computer could handle it. Hmm... There's a neat new item on the SW shop website- Luke Skywalker's ceremonial jacket. (There's the medal, too, but I don't really care about that.) The jacket is really nice, and I'd love to have it, if it weren't for the price. $275 is just way too much.
  21. This was definitely one of my favorite episodes of the season. Not as good as Seven Samurai, of course, but still a good tribute to Kurosawa. I liked the little aliens. Their little hats looked Russian. Their farming methods were strange, though. A harvester for such a small crop, though? Rare crops usually strike me as fragile and needing to be handpicked...but I guess that's just my silly illusion. Maybe they have fields elsewhere. The battle between Anakin and Hondo was annoying. Anakin should have wasted him in ten seconds. An easy way to get away with a long, drawn-out battle like that would be to have Sugi/Obi-wan shout, "Wait! I want him alive!" I was disappointed by Serapis. That suit was very slow, and pretty weak. A really minor bug for me was the strange dimensions of their farming tools. The shafts were so thick I don't think the farmers could get their hands all the way around them. Oh, and Embo's hat trick was terrible, as cool as he was. Since when do hats bounce back to their owners? Still, small irritations. Great episode.
  22. 12.001 Apparently not the same as my atomic mass.
  23. I'd put it down to The Clone Wars, yeah. In the Traviss Mando 'verse, the Mandalorians are composed of lots of immigrants, or children 'adopted' if they impress the parents. And of course, Jango was an orphan from Concord Dawn, and joined the True Mandalorians, so he's not exactly local, either.
  24. Ouch. These are some pretty neat rings. I need to remember them for the distant future.
  25. I agree, one of the better political ones. My favorite part was that the characters were all fairly believable. I think my favorite guy was Mr. Sadik, the middleman. I loved his accent... anyone know which British accent that was? His job, his accent, and his attitude reminded me of Badger from Firefly. The Mandalorian architecture is confusing me. I keep seeing Mandalorian chestplates everywhere, only to discover that it's a chair or something. The man who voices the clones needs to either disguise his voice more or play other people less. The superintendent and the lizard leader were both played by him, and I keep thinking it's a clone talking. Some of the voices seem too computerized. I'm guessing that they're using a core of a few actors and digitizing their voices slightly so they sound different. I really like Satine. She's the best female character in the show, IMO. Ahsoka is too hard-headed, and Padme...she's better in the show, but she's still not a very interesting character. She and Satine both seem to have the same rolls, but Padme just isn't very convincing. Satine cares intensely for her people, and she is very serious about making it happen. And, for a pacifist, she doesn't seem very intolerant of fighting. I mean, it's standard procedure for flamethrowers to be kept in police speeders- she even ordered them to burn the building! Strange move.... Because of this attitude, this gives me high hopes that Mandalore will revert to its old traditions. EDIT: in other news, (SPOILERS)
