  1. With the construction of a city underway, and order restored, Sir Thomas sets his sights on building alliances with the lords of Avalonia and the other guilds. Inside the meeting room of Travercraig Castle, where Sir Thomas is living at until Rivendell Castle is finished, he and his small council are discussing forging alliances. They have written letters to send to the lords of Avalonia and the other guilds. To the Lords of Avalonia, This letter is not meant for the well being of Avon, but also Avalonia. The County of Avon seeks an alliance with individual lords of Avalonia and their Counties. In return, the County of Avon will provide aid in times of strife or hardship. Sincerely, Sir Thomas, Lord of Avon To the High Council of Kaliphlin, With the Desert King victory and your at the end of your recent civil war, the County of Avon seeks an alliance with the lords of Kaliphlin. In return, the County of Avon will send support, either financial or military to the Resistance. Sincerely, Sir Thomas, Lord of Avon To the Lords of Nocturnus, In the threat of a civil war, the County of Avon seeks an alliances with the lords of Nocturnus. In return, if a civil war is to occur, the County will provide financial and military aid. In times of peace, however, the County of Avon seeks to open trade with the Lords. Sincerely, Sir Thomas, Lord of Avon To the Lords of Mitgardia, After the defeat of the Algus who have threatened the lands of Mitgardia, stopping trade, the County of Avon seeks to open trade routes with the Lords of Mitgardia, and will also pledge to send troops in times of war. In return, Mitgardian goods will make their way down to Avalonia. This was my first interior build, so please give me some advice on anything at all, as I am currently building my sig fig's castle and are looking for advice on building a good castle. This is also kind of an invitation to set up an alliance with any of you, so if you are interested, please PM me or comment below.

  3. Yeah, I should have done that, but I didn't have much time. Thanks. The street is supposed to be new, but you're right, I should have put tiles or something. I planned to put a few lanterns but I forgot. Let's just say that the lanterns are yet to be installed. Thanks. I'm going to make a little confession. I use LDD for my builds because to be truthful, I have like 5 or 6 kingdoms/castle sets, so this a build I don't like I could ever have accomplished with real bricks, especially the half timbered houses. I really appreciate how you like my LDD builds. Thanks! I'm working on my next build already! Well, the city is supposed to be planned, so some houses look the same. Though I can tell you in other parts of town that I will build in the future, there will be different looking houses. Again. like I've said, the town is newly built, so plants have yet to grow. Thank you. Like I've said, the town is two new for plants to grow, though in the future this town will "age" and I will add some foliage. Like I've said, I don't really that many medieval related bricks, so I build in LDD, which I treat like real bricks. I should have used SNOT, which I probably will in one of my next builds. I will also try to put cobblestones too.
  4. Hi, I'm LegoEomer, another citizen of Avalonia. Yes, you do claim land, if you want to be a lord, knight, or some other noble. You don't have to though. If you want to live in another user's land, like Avon, my land, you can PM that user. And feel free to ask questions. I had a lot of them when I first came here, and they were answered by a team of really nice people. I'll look forward to your builds. And lastly, welcome to Avalonia! You chose the best guild!

  7. Though the guild of Avalonia and the County of Avon have been established and order restored to the land, there are still small pockets of thieves hiding in the forests, preying on the few travelers who use the poorly maintained road. However, today Sir Thomas and his men have defeated one of the many groups and driven them away. Now, construction crews can repair the road and travelers can travel down the road safely again. 9. Hi, I'm back with a new build. Also who wants to come to my castle for a party either next week or the week after that? I'm building my castle and I expect it to be done by then. Another thing I would like to say is that the wiki has fallen into disrepair and needs to be updated. I hereby found a task force dedicated to working on the wiki if that is okay. So who is with me?
  10. Rivendell is a moderately sized town in Avalonia. After Avon was given to Sir Thomas as a gift after the founding of Avalonia, he immediately set to planning a building his city. As learned from the Kaliphlinians, as he had spent some of his life there, he made wide streets, so that disease wouldn't spread easily. The city was also protected by high walls and a well equipped army, and kept clean by street cleaners. After enough parts of the city were built, he moved into a nice house there, until his castle is finished. Today, it is market day, and because the main square is yet to be built, it is very busy. Sir Thomas has also come to see his happy people. Streets_of_Rivendell (1) by lego eomer, on Flickr Streets_of_Rivendell (11) by lego eomer, on Flickr The tavern on the left. This is also my largest build in LDD yet. More pictures or enlarged pictures can be found on my Flickr.
  11. After the plans for the new city were finished, workers started construction. There was to be a canal to provide ships access to the city. However, first of all, the workers started construction on a road. Using Kaliphlinian techniques, they first laid hard packed earth. Next, they were going to lay gravel. Then they were going to lay crushed stones in cement. Finally, they would lay the top, the paving stones. The workers had only finished laying the earth. Other workers cleared the area of vegetation. The next step was to dig the canal. Like always, I hope you like it and comments are always appreciated.
  12. Sir Thomas and three other men gathered in a field. The men were hired by Sir Thomas to plan out his capital, a new city, which he would name Rivendell. Here, he planned a walled city, with wide streets planned out in grid pattern. "So this is the site?" asked one of the architects. "Yes," said Sir Thomas, "I am planning to build a new city from scratch." "Okay, that will take a long time." said another architect." "You guys are not doing the building, we have workers," said Sir Thomas. "By the way, I would like a canal from the river, so ships can have access." "That can be done too." replied the third architect. "That is all for here," said Sir Thomas, "building should start next week." Planning_a_City (1) by lego eomer, on Flickr Planning_a_City (2) by lego eomer, on Flickr Planning_a_City (3) by lego eomer, on Flickr So this is my first build for my new story. I took the advice of some of my fellow builders and added vegetation and rocks, along with some elevation on the ground. Again, comments are appreciated, and I hope you like it.
  13. Actually, thanks for the criticism. I admit that I am I bad builder, but I need time to "progress." Sorry it wasn't as good as you expected, but I hope by the third build, I can get better.
  14. Since we're talking about Artorious Rex, I would like to ask. Where did he come from? All I know is that he came to Avalonia with a large army and the "Flight of Dragons." Also, here are the first two chapters for my new story, the Avon Saga. Avon Saga Part 1 Avon Saga Part 2

I just meant for this MOC to be humorous, so I don't intend it to be taken seriously. The bold and italicized words are supposed to be what's on the sign. Anyways, I hope you like it, and comments are appreciated.
  16. Thanks for the advice SK. Again, this was my first build in a long time, so I am pretty rusty. That castle in the bottom is by far one of my favorites. It is what inspired me to start building castles again.
  17. Thanks for the help Brickcurve. There actually is a door, it just was opened, so from the angle of the shots you can't see anything. Thanks! Thank you for that. That was the one step I didn't get. Well, the castle is supposed to look like it was just built. Second, this is my first build in two years, so I am a bit rusty. I also don't really know how to build a good castle, despite looking at other users' builds for inspiration.
  18. Well, I marked my images as public, but I haven't gotten the image to work yet. I copied the BBCode and did all those instructions, but all I'm seeing is what I copied and pasted, rather than an image. I'm sorry, but everyone is going to have to click the link until I can find a way for it to work.
  19. My Cat. A entry. [Frozen Beyond - Cat. A] Greenwood Castle
  20. Greenwood Castle is a new castle built under the orders of Sir Thomas. It defends the town of Greenwood, the second largest town in Avon. Though it is under construction, as the inner buildings have not been built yet, soldiers have been stationed there, since there are rumors of the Algus in the area. Today, the rumors are proven true when a group of Algus soldiers descended upon the fortress. Algus_Challenge_Cat._ A (1) lego eomer Algus_Challenge_Cat._A (2) lego eomer Algus_Challenge_Cat. A (3) lego eomer Luckily, the garrison had just received oil from Kaliphlin, so the soldiers dipped their arrows, swords, and spears into the oil and set it on fire. This worked effectively, as many Algus soldiers were set on fire while the others retreated. The soldiers had driven off the Algus, for now... Thanks for looking. This is my first topic post, so please give me feedback. I also can't seem to get the images to work, so if anybody would be kind enough to help me with that, that would be nice.
  21. Great builds! May the High Council retake Petraea and free the oppressed people of Kaliphlin from the dictatorship of the Desert King! And may The Resistance achieve victory!
  22. Cool! I should do something like this.
  23. Thank you for the answers. Now on to my builds!
  24. I just have two questions. This might be off topic and sound like a strange question, but I have to write a fiction story as part of a school project, so can I use parts of the Historica storyline as inspiration for my project? I won't use any names and will not plagiarize anything. Second, since the Kaliphlin Civil War is over, can I still make builds about it, but as freebuilds? Thank you for answering my dumb and annoying questions. I just get curious a lot. If this is becoming a nuisance, please tell me, because I think I'm asking too many questions.
  25. Avalonia has much more than that, and not all of us wear tights. Besides, Nocturnus is dangerous, full of orcs, goblins, Drow, and that pumpkin pie that supposedly eats people. Avalonia is also beautiful, with enchanted forests and mystic isles, while your Nocturnus has nothing but swamps. Plus, Avalonia is safe, unlike Drow infested Nocturnus.
