  1. Isn't the Wither Woods disputed between Avalonia and Kaliphlin?
  2. Nice farm! I especially like the half timbered design, but the interior is superb too.
  3. Cool build! The architecture is distinctly Kaliphlinian, yet it manages to have an Avalonian feel to it. Nice work, and I look forward to seeing more of your city.
  4. Good day Avalonians, I would like to present to you my Task 1 entry, displaying you soldiers. In order from top to bottom are the knights, elite soldiers, archers, swordsmen, and light spear men. Below is a description. Acadia_Soldiers (1) by lego eomer, on Flickr Because Avalonia is the most fertile land in Historica, it can also field the largest armies. However, large numbers don't always guarantee victory, so Avalonian soldiers are also highly trained. Acadia is no exception. Most of its knights are veterans of the Flight of Dragons, who now ride as part of the elite cavalry of the same name, and ride Drond's Fields' agile, strong, and fast horses. The elite soldiers and swordsmen are the backbone of the army, and the most skilled are chosen to act act as part of Lord Brandon's personal guard. The archers and light spear men are used for fast deadly attacks against enemy forces and are more used to scout than to fight in open battle. Together, these soldiers form a deadly attack force. Soldiers wear plate armor, with the exception of the light forces, which wear chain mail armor. I hope you guys like my soldiers. I sort of based them off of House Tyrell's forces from Game of Thrones. Also, Titus, I hope you are okay with me using your horses.
  5. Great build! You were able to capture what Avalonia looks like. Also great to see you back in Guilds of Historica again. Can't wait to see what you have next!
  6. If we don't have one, I can join an Avalonian team.
  7. Welcome to the best guild of Avalonia! You made the right choice! Looking forward to your builds.
  8. Chapter 1: Home in a Foreign Land After landing in Avalonia a few days ago, Artorious Rex split his men into five groups, four led by each of his top commanders, and the main army led by himself. By spreading out, they would force House Baine's forces to be spread out, and they would also gather the help of lords opposed to Lord Baine to add to their respective armies. Being a high ranking commander, Sir Brandon was given command of one of the five groups. Now, he is in the castle of a lord who defected to Artorious's side, as many other lords have done, planning his next move. Planning_for_War (1) by lego eomer, on Flickr Thanks for looking and I hope you like it. This is second in a series of flashbacks by my character, Sir Brandon, detailing his history. Since I do not know much about the Dragonflight or anything, I tried to make this as vague as possible by now mentioning army sizes, dates, or events.
  9. I don't think I've ever made a formal introduction or ever shown my lands. I guess I'll take this as a chance. Historica_Character (1) by lego eomer, on Flickr Historica_Character (5) by lego eomer, on Flickr Sir Brandon in his family's armor. The youngest son of a lord in a land, far from Historica, he traveled with Artorious Rex to Avalonia five years ago to rid House Baine and install House Rex as the new ruling house. Because of his good fighting skills, he was a high ranking commander in the army. In the end, he was awarded a large piece of land for his bravery, skill, and role in aiding House Rex. Sir Brandon now lives a peaceful life in the growing port of Acadia with his wife Catelyn and daughter Lyanna. Acadia_Map by lego eomer, on Flickr I've already introduced this character weeks ago, but I though about making him my official sig fig. I'm planning for this to stay my character for the rest of my time in Historica. Also, since I may have insulted some of the older people on Eurobricks, I present this as a gesture of a new beginning. I apologize for my rash behavior, and I hope you can forgive me, as I was acting immature. If you can forgive me, I hope we can leave this behind us and be on good terms once more.
  10. Chapter 1: Home in a Foreign Land Chapter 2: Planning for War Brandon looked at the ocean, looked west, towards home. "Home." he thought. It had been months since he left his home, joining Artorious Rex and his army in establishing House Rex in Avalonia. His noble birth and impressive fighting skills granted him a position in one of the higher ranks of the army. However, he still missed home. He had only come because he was the fourth and youngest son, and every inheritance law in the known world said that the oldest child would inherit everything, and he had a chance to be granted land here. Brandon turned around and looked west. Into Avalonia. Now, he decided, he would find home in a foreign land. Once this war was over, he would marry an Avalonian girl, and settle down, whether he was lord or not. Home_in_a_Foreign_Land (1) by lego eomer, on Flickr Home_in_a_Foreign_Land (2) by lego eomer, on Flickr Thanks for looking and I hope you like it. I have significantly added more detail, including my experimentation with rock formations. This is supposed to be part of a series of flashbacks made by my new character, Sir Brandon. So, as always, comments are always appreciated, and please let me know if I have anything wrong.
  11. I have a short question again. Am I allowed to use Artorious Rex's sig fig? I'm planning on making some builds for my character's history, which involves the Flight of Dragons. And this is the build I'm talking about. Home in a Foreign Land
  12. Nice builds! I especially like the foliage, the use of round pieces for the road, and the loose 1x2 pieces for the sand. All these builds made by Kaliphlin members really makes me doubt my decision to join Avalonia.
  13. Wow! Nice build. Kind of makes me want to join Kaliphlin.
  14. Okay, I understand that everybody has their own work to do. Sorry, if I acted like I forced you to. I will remember to not do that in the future, and let us put this all behind us. However, I would like to ask one thing. Can we at least put a link to the wiki on every guild page so it is easily accessible?
  15. Yeah, I understand, because I myself, go to school too, I just happen to be on break. And thank you for letting me use your builds.
  16. Thank you, both of you, for putting out some of your time to contribute to this project.
  17. Thank you for putting some of your time in helping improve the wiki. You are the first person to sign up, and you have my gratitude for that. Remember, you don't have to be on the wiki full time. You can just come on the wiki every few days and update info. It isn't much, but it would greatly help others in the future.
  18. I completely understand that many of you are adults, have jobs, family, and that you don't have the time for this. What I don't understand is that the same people who created the wiki, edited it, worked on it, are now saying they can't help. I am not forcing anybody to help, but I'm just going to repeat this one more time. It took me months to know what I know now about this whole Guilds of Historica thing. I am just going to say that it is much easier trying to find something on the wiki than searching through the internet.
  19. Is it okay that I include pictures of your builds on the wiki, so that people can get a better view of Avalonia? Also, I need your help on the wiki. Why isn't anybody helping? All I need is for you guys to each log on for a few days at a time and help me with the editing updating.
  20. Sir Brandon Historica_Character (1) by lego eomer, on Flickr Brandon was the lord of a minor noble house in Avalonia before the Flight of Dragons. When Artorious Rex came with an army during the Flight of Dragons, rather than fight Rex, Brandon instead rose in rebellion against their oppressive liege lords, House Baine, and joined Artorious Rex's army. In the end, when Artorious established the new guild of Avalonia, Brandon's land was vastly expanded, and he became a High Lord of Avalonia. Robert Historica_Character (2) by lego eomer, on Flickr While most who served in the Flight of Dragons have stories of glory to tell, the Flight of Dragons is nothing but a bad memory for him. During the war, he led some soldiers to fight for Artorious Rex, but his soldiers were ambushed. Only he survived. Disgraced, he now wanders the guilds, finding money here and there, and hoping to find a place where he can get accepted and a place he can call home once more. Brant Historica_Character (4) by lego eomer, on Flickr Ruling a small port city on the coast of Kaliphlin, south of Barqa, Brant's life was relatively comfortable. Now with a Desert King victory in the recent civil war, a steady flow of refugees flow in everyday, and with the surrounding countryside either held by the Desert King or destroyed, food shortages are getting common. Also, being a High Council supporter, he is an active member of the Resistance, and his city continues in hold out in defiance, a dangerous act. Darrok Historica_Character (3) by lego eomer, on Flickr Darrok, a normal Mitgardian commoner, truly represents Historica being the "Land of Opportunity." Growing up in a small town north of Valholl, he joined the Mitgardian army. During the Revolword War, he rose up the ranks of the army, and soon commanded his own troops. When the war ended, he returned home, and was elected to represent his town in the Thing, or the Mitgardian parliament. Now, he is the mayor of his prospering town. As I said in the last installment of the Avon Saga, I have introduced some characters. First, I am trying to make a character for every guild. I originally posted this in Avalonia's page, but have decided this is a better place to keep track of my information. I hope you like it.
  21. In the Underworld, Thomas waits for a boat with his deceased brother, and his wife. "So," Thomas asked, "how long has it been?" "I think it's been ten years, but the days go by quickly here." "Anything special going on here?" "A few weeks or days ago, I forgot, a man by the name of Vladivus was here. He hailed from Nocturnus, a land they say is the Underworld on the world." "I was there a few weeks ago. That was how I got here." "Well, how is Adelena doing? Anything special in Historica?" "Your girl is a beauty. I would marry her off, but I don't think that was what you wanted. Anyways, since you last left, I traveled to Avalonia, fought in the Flight of Dragons, and became a lord. A few months ago I was in Kaliphlin. Beautiful place. Visited our father. Then I was on my way to Nocturnus, and this happened..." "Eh, well. We'll be home soon. Isn't the exit in like Petraea, or where was it?" "Queenscross." "Oh." Just then, their boat arrived, and they prepared to step in. After all this time, they would finally go home. In_the_Underworld (1) by lego eomer, on Flickr Thanks for looking, and I hope you like it. This is a continuation of the story of Sir Thomas, though I will still be using my other characters. Anyways, comments are always appreciated.
  22. After hearing that many of his fellow Avalonian lords, and even his enemy the Desert King have traveled to Nocturnus to fight the Black Spire, Brandon gathered his own troops, and headed off to Nocturnus. Though his troops are not much, one of his objectives is to seek alliances with Nocturnian lords. Though the march is going well, he plans to take a turn south to resupply and join with reinforcements at Drond's Fields. To_Nocturnus (1) by lego eomer, on Flickr To_Nocturnus (2) by lego eomer, on Flickr So, thanks for looking and I hope you like my build. This is my first build since the plot twist a few weeks ago, so as I have said, I am using a new character, though I will find a way to include Sir Thomas in one of my next builds. I originally planned this to be my build for the Desert King Crusade challenge, but I finished it too late, so I changed the scenery. Anyways, comments are always appreciated.
  23. Let me explain this. We're not trying to record every little piece of information or record everybody's builds of anything like that. The purpose of the wiki, or at least, my purpose of the wiki, is to provide basic information so users can at least get a basic idea of GOH. Of course, people can interpret their own versions of their guild's history, but not anything too far out. Like for example, Avalonia gets conquered by Mitgardia or something like that. Or like basic things. Most of us don't know who the king of Historica is, who the leader of Avalonia is, guild borders, the current political scene in Historica, the history of Historica, etc. The idea is to provide builders with a basic clue of Historica, while giving them space to build. What it takes for most of us to ask a question, then wait a day for an answer, can be accomplished with the click of a button. So please, I ask again, can you guys help me?
  24. Welcome! Interesting story too. If you have time, it would be nice if you can help me work on the wiki. You would get my eternal gratitude! Guilds of Historica Wiki
  25. Thanks for the answers. Also am I allowed to make articles on the wiki for other users' cities? Like Sionnach, and the Trifork? I also think that there should be a link to the wiki on every guild page. I know Kaliphlin has one, which explains why the majority of the pages on the wiki and Kaliphlin related.
