  1. I'd much prefer a Marvel series, but I could probably dig up at least a couple of DC characters that I could be persuaded to buy without too much arm-twisting. Hell, I ended up with a lot of those TLBM minifigures.
  2. Aside from including a hair piece, I'm not sure what else they could have added to the rugby player. A new, purpose-made rugby helmet mold would be of limited reuse, unless there was a Die Mannschaft-style rugby series coming to Australia and New Zealand.... She certainly cemented my aim to grab those Ninjago fire snake mummies. Definitely second them bringing that Anubis guard head out again. I traded for one that had some damage, and it's a great piece that should be reintroduced. That's my big take away. I'm not a fan of the new bag either, but if the trade-off is introducing the inclusion of larger elements, then I'll take it. My brother from another mother.
  3. For the sake of argument, I proffer that this hypothetical series would be unfettered by City or mascot figures. I will also proffer that one of the fantasy figures would be a plant monster* utilizing the stump disguise from the mountain police sets. They slap a couple of out-there city-themed and mascot figures in whatever Fun-in/at-the Place they had planned for the year. * it could actually be a goblin/gnoll/kobold/insert a "fantasy monster to hide in a stump" here.
  4. Niiiice!
  5. A series dedicated to traditional LEGO themes (that are now sidelined by licensed equivalents) could be very nice. 16 or 20 figures, divided among four or five themes could make for a great series. A pipe dream, probably, but it is nice to imagine.
  6. HACK THE PLANET! That's an angle I hadn't considered for the gamer.
  7. As it stands currently, the only two I'm iffy on are the bear and gamer. I've accidentally ended up being a completionist on the mascot/costumed figures, so I'll likely end up with it, but it's not exactly the finest example of the genre. I liked the reuse of Poe's hair on the gamer, though it being green makes it a bit less useful. The controller might make me reconsider, though. I think it's a pretty nice return to the non-licensed, non-themed series. I even like the Blacktron figure (Space isn't really my bag).
  8. Some decidedly not-Eurocentric ones, in fact. I think the regional figures are some of my faves.
  9. I think that is EXACTLY what they were aiming for, and I agree they nailed it. Those not from the States may not get it, understandably. She'd fit in real well in a Paradisa build.
  10. I think you've got it nailed, though I would love two regular releases.
  11. That's that, then. Now that the cat is out of the bag, LEGO can drop all the pretense and dump the official renders for us too "ooh and aah" over.
  12. They could have given it a pumpkin pail and killed two birds with one stone.
  13. Speaking of future figures, now that there's a football piece, I wonder when we'll get the red counterpart to S.8's football player. That red cheerleader is overdue someone to cheer for.
  14. I'm not liking where this may be going. Yeah, I saw it on one of the box backs.
  15. Anyone else think the French terrier may be molded in white this time?
  16. Daaaaaamn! A bicycle in the CMF bag! Female firefighter! I believe she's a robot programmer.
  17. I suppose a dashing, buccaneer-type pirate. The kind Errol Flynn used to play. But we got one of those back in S.12, didn't we? Hmm, here's to a sky pirate!
  18. Yeah, eye patch aside, nothing about it was particularly pirate-flavored. Yup. *hums "Thank You For Being a Friend"*
  19. They usually start creeping out during the back half of August. LEGO stores will be the most likely candidate, though WalMart and Target have been known to slip up and put them out early.
