  1. Yeah, I'm a big fan of the regional/cultural series concept. I wonder if they wouldn't do something like taking the most popular figure from each series, then do a re-imagining of each. In a series of 20 they could use the last slot for a Classic throwback, or perhaps an as-yet unknown archetype or figure type (think centaur, for example)?
  2. Classic Spaceman in red or white @ 1 per case, just like Classic Police Officer. Or, worse still, a series of 16 with Classic Spaceman, Pirate Captain, Fireman and Knight packed 1 per case, with all the other figures being 3 per. It won't happen, but I like to spitball on the worst case scenario. What are we looking at for a time frame for potential leaks? I reckon June or July, at the earliest?
  3. Probably pretty low, but if I'm honest, I would have preferred a Fabuland figure in the CMF line instead of Unikitty or Emmett.
  4. Kind of tired of them double-dipping on the themed CMFs. Disney makes sense, because the depth of potential figures could make for 20 CMF series. I admit that TLBM S.2 probably helped fill some holes for DC fans. I'll probably feel different once I see the film and start finding characters i really want figures of.
  5. Yup, just took a few and bagged up. Odd stuff. RBG and the politics (they really are inseparable) aside, that torso and wedge print are great. I really hope, should it actually get made into a figure, that it's released in an outlet conducive to acquring multiples. No DTC b.s., please.
  6. Brickseek has 821309549 as the SKU for Walmart, and 204-00-3193 for Target's DCPI. Grain of salt, and all that. Says all the Walmarts in the area have them. Whether that means they're in the back waiting to be put on shelves, or if it's Brickseek just listing all of the local stores is anyone's guess.
  7. Thanks for the review. I've had time to stew on them, and I think Unikity, Rex, Emmett and Swamp Creature are gonna be the ones I leave on the shelf. I wanted to like Swampy, but the suspender/shorts combo just doesn't work for me. Might find a use for the head parts, though, so I'll see about him once I've secured the others. Rex has that cool new hat/hair combo, and the blue raptor pup, but, much like Swampy, the design as a whole isn't great.
  8. Huh, the lack of real rhyme or reason on what got double bagged is interesting, especially with the figure everyone thought was the justification for it NOT being one of them. Can't wait to find them.
  9. I could go for a lot of those, but I think it is way too heavy on City figures, and archetypes we already get year-in and year-out really need to be outstanding design-wise to warrant a CMF slot, IMO. Nothing there for Space fans, and only one hit for the Fantasy guys. We're pretty much getting the golfer in the TLM2 wave with President Business. Grocery Clerk, Baker and Teacher are just too similar to past figures, beyond just the gender swaps. Teacher is just a bit too similar to the Librarian. It was nice they limited it to only two mascots. Points for the Not-a-Chippendale's dancer. Never gonna happen, but it does remind me of that hilarious SNL skit, so kudos. In fact, I'm gonna see about BL the right parts to make one. Nice bit of S.19 fantasy, which still feels so far away.
  10. Wildstyle suitcase set is already on clearance at the local Walmart.
  11. Indeed, it should have been three complete sets. If they were going to make anything in the set one per case it should have been, all things being equal, Emmett. It's not like he doesn't come in practically every set, plus book releases and at least one polybag. Or, if not Emmett, Unikitty, who's got a whole line stinking-up shelves.
  12. I'd wager that either the disclaimer text or piece-count is there by mistake. Sure would be interesting if it were a blind bag item. Maybe it's just the minifigure that is random, or perhaps a random included accessory akin to the Nexo Power packs? Hopefully we find out at ToyFair.
  13. I kind of get the feeling lots of people are gonna be especially disappointed with the minifigure choices once we see the film.
  14. The Unikitty series did seem to have a thinner bag.
  15. What, put an armybuilder in a polybag, where it could actually be acquired in sufficient numbers economically?
  16. Didn't even notice that, heh. I don't use 'em anymore, but the different colors are pretty cool.
  17. I was wondering if they were going to start double-bagging like the Unikitty ones. If they did, it might make them a bit more difficult to suss out. They problem with the Unikitty ones was that there were no unique accessories/parts to guide you. I would assume Einhorn-Kitty will be double-bagged, and thus the easiest to find IF they don't bag them all.
  18. Some of those German names are pretty metal-sounding.
  19. Oh, they'll think of something, though it'll be specious reasoning at best.
  20. While the Melon largely leaves me cold as well, those legs look like something right out of a 1980s BMX or Motocross competition. Granted, that's gonna be pretty niche, even in a City setting. He's also got that sunglasses paired with the S*%t-eating grin face print, which is handy.
  21. Looks to be about the same size as the Unikitty ones. It could be to accommodate the Unikitty figure, but perhaps this will be the bag for all CMF waves going forward?
