  1. I also just got The Phantom of the LEGO site and used some of my VIP Points to bring down the price - this is actually going to be the most expensive set I'm buying for Winter, so I thought I'd bring it down to a better price. Also, since it's Double Point at the moment, I've made most of that fiver back, so I'm satisfied. I'll post my thoughts on it once I get it. I also got the A-Wing Pilot too, so I'll do a little review on him as well.
  2. So, err, what's happened to the A-Wing? Yesterday it was just the A-Wing up on the site, due to be released today, bot now everything else is up and not a trace of the A-Wing. I mean, I'm probably not going to pick it up any time soon, but I'm curious as to what's happening there. Also, are there any reviews up yet? Sets were released yesterday here, so there should be a few soon.
  3. It'll probably be a few weeks before us Brits even get a sniff of those CMF's.
  4. Think you got those two the wrong way around :p
  5. I saw Rogue One last night - I don't want to get into a review, because I'll be here for hours furiously typing out my love for the movie, so I'll talk briefly about how well they translated some of Rogue One into sets. SPOILER WARNING: I think they did, for the most part, a really good job. The TIE Striker has been translated very well into LEGO form, in my opinion, as has the Imperial Hovertank (but it lacks cargo crates, in comparison to its movie counterpart). The U-Wing is... meh. They got the basic features right, but I think the colouring of it is off. I don't think it should be as white as it is. The AT-ST is, well, just an AT-ST, really. No complaints there, however the AT-ST barely features in the film - I think it's only featurd on Jedha for a short period of time. Battle on Scarif isn't incredibly accurate in my opinion, but it does the trick. But the highlight here is Krennic's Shuttle. It's been translated into LEGO form excellently, no complaints there. The Y-Wing... well, it's just a Y-Wing really. I would've preferred one of the cargo shuttles they stole, with the whole RO crew on board, over an AT-ST or the Y-Wing, but oh well. LEGO did a reasonably good job with the sets.
  6. Yeah, I saw this. But no Phantom, like I said :(. Shame, really, since Argos is really the only large LEGO retailer in my near vicinity. I'll have to wait for Amazon to put it up and discount it. In the meantime, I'll probably get one of the £20 sets - has anyone got a recommendation? I like the look of Duel on Naboo, but after seeing Rogue One earlier (midnight, to be exact :p), I'm somewhat in the mood to have something from the OT.
  7. They are? All I see is the A-Wing that's scheduled to be released tomorrow.
  8. So, yep, the sets are out in the UK... but no sign of the Phantom. It seems to be nowhere other than on the Smyths website. They're really trying to keep this at the £40 price point.
  9. Neat. I quite like the look of the walker in the Imperial battle pack, for some reason.
  10. If LEGO can pump out more RO sets on the same kind of quality as Krennic's shuttle, then I'll have them. I don't even see the point in getting a Quadjumper, there's much better ideas for sets out there with Rebels and Rogue One out now.
  11. Yay, another damn polybag. I'm really starting to despise minifig polybag. I can never get my hands on them, and they usually contain awesome figs.
  12. Eh, Bounty Hunters seem quite popular across all age groups, so getting multiple in an incredibly cheap set is not something that should be frowned upon, in my opinion.
  13. Hopefully Bossk is in there, he's in dire need of being put in a set again.
  14. Wow, hype! The Bounty Hunter battle pack sounds awesome, can't wait to get me a 4-LOM and IG-88. Darth Vader transformation sounds awesome, too, I wonder how they've updated Battle Damaged Anakin.
  15. 15th makes sense, co-incides with the UK release date of Rogue One.
  16. Meh, figures sound boring.
  17. Thanks for re-opening the thread.
  18. Damn, that sucks. Well, my wallet can wait I guess.
  19. Yep! I'm just hoping they release on the 16th in retailers, the only one really near me is Argos.
  20. Wow, that was unexpected. Now I have to debate whether to buy the Phantom for £35 using my VIP rewards, or wait until it goes on sale somewhere.
  21. Great work, Duncan. I need that Red Hood fig. I'll be buying those CMF packs until I get one.
  22. I imagine the 16th December release date is to tie in with the movie release. But... it's the 15th here when it releases...
