  1. Ah, I see. Still doesn't make me like it though, really, I feel the figure could do without it.
  2. Looks good other than that white parka-like thing around his head. What's that meant to even be? It ruins the figure.
  3. Good shout - yeah, probably, in that case .
  4. Yeah, you'd need to be made of money to be able to buy one of those.
  5. Wow, it's pretty huge. I wonder if we'll get a little portion of it as a set.
  6. I'm probably gonna get the Riddler Car and some CMF's, but that might be my lot.
  7. It's a good set. Lacking in features, but it serves its purposes and its a nice OT vehicle that's pretty iconic, and also has a nice set of figures.
  8. Here: https://imgur.com/a/wf98x Apologies, the lighting in my house and the quality of my phone camera don't make for the greatest of photos.
  9. Also, after playing around with it, the storage box, if you turn it on its side, you can fit a minifig in beside it in the back of the ship. So, if you want to, you can have the whole set, including the figures, bundled into the Phantom. I won't be doing that though, Thrawn is going up on display.
  10. I can try, what would you like pictures of? Just general photos of the ship, areas of the ship, the figs?
  11. Yeah, Lah'mu. And the Deathtroopers, according to the wiki, wielded the E-11d blaster or the SE-14r. I doubt they've been made in LEGO, but there you go. Wiki link: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Death_Trooper
  12. So, I got the Phantom - here are a few of my thoughts: - Build: The build was really fun, actually. The ship came together nicely as you built it, and it wasn't an excessively long build - it took me around about 45 minutes. - Minifigs: Do I even need to go there? They're awesome. It's nice to get Chopper again, Kanan's new hair/mask mould is very strong and looks very accurate, and Thrawn is just awesome. It's great to finally have him in minifigure form. My one gripe however is of course his insignia - I might have to do something to that to correct it, but when you're looking at him it's hard to get angry when its our first (and maybe last) Thrawn figure after nearly 18 years of LEGO Star Wars. - The Phantom: I really like it. While I hated its underside beforehand, it's grown on me enough to accept it, at least. I really like the back end of the Phantom, very vibrant and also VERY sturdy. I've managed to drop it twice now (I'm a little clumsy) and the ship has remained in one piece. There's a nice little technic mechanism running through the heart of the ship which keeps that top wing in place, making the ship really quite sturdy. The cockpit is roomy, but a little bland, but it's no big deal. However I don't like this new system they've used for slotting minifigures in. The minifigure feels a little loose in there. I might have to change this out for normal studs so the fig is sat firmly in there. The storage compartment around the back is roomier than you think. While you can't get a minifig in there when the little storage box is in there, with the box removed, you can easily throw 2 minifigs in there, at a push 3. They aren't sat in there nicely though, it's really just the figs rammed in there, but they fit. The spring loaded shooters are a nice addition, and are well integrated, but the mechanism gets in the way a little of the storage compartment - without the mechanism, you'd be able to sit minifigs in there. Not a huge deal, but a little bit of a gripe. My biggest gripe with the ship though is the landing mechanism. Sure, it's a accurate to the ship, but I've found the little legs to be a little flimsy and they're hard to position to get a nice balance so the ship stands upright properly. They could've been done better. - So, is it worth the price? No. It's an awesome set, very sturdy, great minifigs, neat play features, but it isn't worth the price tag. Get it on discount. I got mine for £35, and I'm happy with that. But not for £40. Like I said, try and get it discounted. - Overall: 8/10. Great build, fantastic minifgures, a few cool features, but I'm not happy with the landing mechanism or the price tag. I'd definitely recommend it, but like I said, get it at a discount. You'll feel more satisfied with the set if you get it cheaper, I assure you. Oh, I also got the A-Wing pilot poly, too. It's nothing special, but he has some nice print.
  13. Just saw J2G's review on the new Joker polybag, and I think it looks really neat! It's an easy way to get this version of The Joker if you're not prepared to buy the Balloon Escape/Scuttler set, it has that cool 6 shooter piece I always like getting and I think the Batman dummy thing is awesome - the loose pieces to knock off is a great idea. Also, a spare Batman cowl, that might come in handy.
  14. 'Tis indeed correct, but I think there is leg printing there as well, since it's a nurse variant, so it mightn't be any good.
  15. Like I said, I've been waiting for a CHEAP-ish set for him to be in - I have no real interest in buying any of those, since 1) they're expensive and 2) I had no real desire to buy either. We should probably move on to something else. So how does the new Y-Wing bomb mechanism work? I've seen a few reviews but none have offered a very clear look at how the mechanism functions.
  16. I'm currenty missing Chewie, so getting him is great, a few changes to Boba are quite welcome, as is Han's new hairpiece. I agree with you on the Skiff Guard, but to me, these figs are alright, especially since I'm missing Chewie (I've been waiting for him to be in a cheap-ish set for a while).
  17. Me too. I need to get the £20 sets first, but I might pick this one up somewhen. Speaking of new sets, apparently my Phantom is (finally) arriving tomorrow. I'll put some of my thoughts up, some of you seem to still be on the fence about this one, might help tilt you in one direction or another.
  18. This isn't really a desire for a future set, but most of us here have identified that Thrawn's rank insignia is wrong - what's the bettings LEGO release a more expensive set with Thrawn with the correct insignia this time, to make the current Thrawn outdated? LEGO surely know they can milk money, especially out of us AFOL's, from people for Thrawn since a lot of people have been longing for him, and since this version is a little inaccurate, making another, more expensive set with the correct prints I guess would be something of a smart (but dirty) move, from a business standpoint. I also think that a Mandalorian Starfighter would be a great idea for a set, especially with an updated Maul. Also, it'd be nice to get a new OT TIE Fighter. I know we've had the TFA and UCS TIE's since the last one, but the former is different from the normal one in a few different ways and the UCS one is way too expensive. I believe the last one was in 2012, so nearly 5 years ago now. It'd be nice to get a new one, and maybe have someone from Rebels in there (Governor Price, maybe? I dunno, just plucking names out, really).
  19. I saw this review earlier too - it's a neat set, and has great figs. The Skiff is a little lacklustre, but I love the Sarlaac.
  20. I agree. Luckily, I have plenty of trans-orange 2x1 pieces ready to go, but the tan pieces are certainly disappointing,
  21. Indeed. North America often gets things earlier than the other continents, admittedly it's a nice change to see the Americans have to wait a little rather than the rest of the world. I found a pretty good review of the Phantom: I still really love this set, but that underside, underneath the cockpit...Eek, that could've been done a lot better. They certainly have the resources to make that better, and having some more pieces would make the price point seem more appealing, too.
  22. Personally, I don't really care, I've seen the movie, but there may be people out there who might get a little touchy and call it a spoiler. Honestly I think it'd just be beneficial for a mod to edit it out just in case someone does come along and deem it spoilery enough to get angry. Anyway, we should probably leave this topic be and move on. Has anyone managed to get a hold of the A-Wing yet? Anyone got pictures of the new Lando?
  23. I was thinking that as well. Doesn't really matter to me since I've seen the movie, but I'd say it's a spoiler nonetheless. @Stash2Sixx
  24. I've been longing for a new TIE Defender ever since it has been made canon, and also a new god-damn Cloud City. We haven't had a full-size Cloud Car or TIE Bomber for ages, either. What I've always wanted though is a huge Empire vs Rebellion set - a midi-scale Super Star Destroyer, one or two midi-scale Star Destroyers, and maybe 2 or 3 Rebel ships, like a Blockade Runner or a Mon Calamari ship. I'd also like it to have a nice assortment of figs, like Ackbar, Admiral Piett, Vader, maybe Leia, Thrawn (get the insignia right, this time, LEGO) and a variation of Rebel and Imperial officers. Lastly, new Jango's Slave 1. We've had about 4 Boba Slave 1's now, I think, but only one of Jango's.
