  1. I was wondering who that mysterious 'MLB' was... :-D Thanks!
  2. I noticed that a few weeks ago, thought it was kinda funny. But who knows? They could be clone brands. :^D

    Blingo

Ok, I have to share this. Blingo is exactly like Google - and is in fact POWERED by Google - except for one thing. You register, and then every search (up to ten a day) is a chance to win free stuff. This includes iPods (Nano and Shuffle), PSPs, Amazon Gift Certificates, Visa Gift Certificates, movie tickets, etc. And it's not a scam; it's supported by Jake McKee and the site actually displays and records recent winners, too. You then send your link to people, who then click it and become your 'friends.' Every time one of your 'friends' wins, you get it as well. Now, it's open to US residents only, but I think we have quite a few of those, so I thought it was worth posting. All you have to do is CLICK HERE and register, and start using Blingo instead of Google. Enjoy! :-D
  4. MISB original Falcon at $50 in a store. 'nuff said.
  5. Yes, it's only an MMORPG (no SP campaign), but a fantastic one. Costs range from $12-$15 per month, depending on your plan. I just reached level eleven. *twisted* My character:
  6. Anyone here picked up the game? I got it on Sunday, and I've got to say I'm hooked. Fantastic character design tools, great powers, exciting missions, easy-to-use team/group features, environments are awesome... pick it up today if you haven't!
  7. Got it the Friday before last, played it for a looooong time. Great game - I particularly like the new ICBM effect. I miss the Icelandics (Vikings), though.
  8. Just my .02 on the Bionicle vs. SYSTEM issue... 1. SYSTEM isn't just minifigs. That's the thing; it's boats, spaceships, cars, trucks, skyscrapers, castles, towers, houses, apartments, schools, space stations, etc. And then figures. BIONICLE is just figures. And some creatures. The end (unless you count those playsets). Also, I doubt anyone has proclaimed themself a genius for doing a simple fig mod. ;) 2. I personally think SYSTEM mechs look much more refined than fusion/BIONICLE mechs. The BIONICLE pieces are pretty bad for creating a 'closed' mecha.
  9. Not LEGO. Looks like those ones you see around that do anime lines and stuff... Kubrick, wasn't it? But yeah, not LEGO.
  10. Moved to Community; mostly a discussion of modern pirates.
  11. Alright, since all that's happening here is bashing Keetongu, I'm going to lock this. Keetongu, you've made several topics like this one; please, next time, have some progress to show us. In game screens, snips of programming, etc. Locked.
  12. You all sound like druggies. :-P As you can tell, I'm not a coffee person.
  13. I don't think Hospital is that bad, considering Police Station was built on the same baseplate and costed $70.
  14. The bleys aren't bad colors; they're just NEW colors, and that's the problem people have with them. The old light gray is lackluster, in my opinion, and discolors similarly to white. The new grays have a nice sheen to them. I doubt anybody would be angry if bley had always been around. Even then, I don't really understand the issue. Why not a little variety? Surely people can get as much old gray as they need from Bricklink, and the sets supply them with bley. I'd like to see a castle built entirely in bley.
  15. I'm glad about the Hospital and the Ferrari Finish Line. Not so happy about the Airport... $90 or so for all that juniorization? I might wait for discount.
  16. Thanks all! Jon; yeah, there are at least a couple hundred of those little 1x1 tiles all over the school. The brickwork is on the entire thing, not just the side (well, the third story doesn't have much, but still). I'll have some more things going on around the building when it's on display... check back soon. ;)
  17. First to twenty wins! Oh... Castle already? ;)
  18. Ok, Spongebob will definitely be minifig-scale. I was talking with some people who brought up the idea that it might be like Chewie, where they have a 'head' that changes the shape of the body (in this case, it fits over and makes it rectangular). That would allow Spongebob to be a fig. I personally like this. As it will be fig-scale, I think we can expect a lot more of a very cool piece; the trans-green seaweed pieces introduced in Rescue From The Merpeople. The more and more I think about it, the more and more I look forward to it.
  19. This is strike two for you, Backpack.
  20. You are. ;) Great entry, dude.
  21. Mine, updated.
  22. Well, technically three figs will be 'new,' since it'll be the first flesh Han other than the parka gear in the new MF. Here's to hoping Jabba will be painted! No Jawa, though, although I wish there were.
  23. Guys, if you have a problem with it, contact me on MSN. Until that time, I'm sure there are people (like me) that would like to discuss the Sail Barge in the Sail Barge topic. Let's not clutter up the topic.
  24. Thanks guys! @ Chewie - shhh... @ Lost Viking - nothing on the inside. Of course, if you provide me with the cash, I'll gladly add one. ;) @ Mr. Lego Builder - hm... that's an idea. *twisted* @ languages - of course. ;) @ StarWars4J - that's $300 in parts off Bricklink (as well as a Yoda that our own jmenomeno sold off at a VERY fair price!), not all the parts in the model. That would be more like $800. It's amazing how fast projects even this size become so expensive! @ KimT - thanks! :-D @ MattZitron - no, the Secret Squirrel project comes AFTER this one. @ Norro - that's Parker, not Potter! :-P
