  1. I voted Phes... you're both equally insane, but he's the bad kind of insane. ;)
  2. Phes - he meant this thread, not that thread. ;) Sarg - a lot of our active users don't frequent the community forum, so no worries.
  3. :') :-D :^D :P |-D
  4. Fire Truck all the way... one of the best LEGO sets ever, in my opinion.
  5. Well, SuvieD, flesh tones are only used for licenses, to represent real people. Even this is used sparingly - the Scuderia Ferrari Truck, for instance, uses yellow figures. I don't mind flesh tones - I use them to represent real people as well, when I'm creating a historical scene, etc. Although sometimes I wish certain flesh-toned head designs were available in normal yellow, I appreciate that there's already a wide enough selection to be getting on with. I don't think flesh tones warrant as much hatred as they receive from the community. PS - did you receive my private message?
  6. Well, I think the point was to take a tally of regular posters, and the poll forced him to create at least two options.
  7. Hey all, Update from London! Not good - checked out Hamley's (they actually had the best selection... new KK2 knights, etc.), Harrod's, and Selfridges, and found no Vikings whatsoever! Unfortunate... if anyone does find them, buy me a catapult (I'll reimburse you) and I'll give you my hotel address! I'll even tip you for your effort. ;) Ah well, at least the Singapore Bricklink store owner shipped my Viking order out on express shipping free of charge (I suppose it was my rather large order ;)) and it'll be waiting for me when I get back on Tuesday. Cheerio, Bloody Jay :-D
  8. The V-Wing's $30? That's odd.... I was thinking $20 or even $15, since it's generally a small ship. Maybe this will be a larger ship like the Imperial Shuttle (another $30 set). I was expecting something small!
  9. Thanks for the fond farewells! I'm in the airport (had to spend a good ten minutes hacking their wireless network ;)), going to board in about half an hour. I might be able to get on the net every now and then, so stay tuned!
  10. I voted Slave I. I'm really looking forward to a model that's really impressive, not to mention all the figures!
  11. A fake doesn't necessarily mean that the original was stolen! It could mean that our presumably late Mr. Crowley enjoyed the dramatic idea of Vikings wearing horned helmets, but was not able to purchase the only known horned helm in existence. Or maybe he just has a sense of humor! Who knows. I suggest we move on; the next room awaits.
  12. Pure builder. Well actually, I display sets for a week or so before dismantling them for parts... but there's not an option for that.
  13. Hey all, Start tomorrow (Sunday) at 6 PM-ish, I'll be on an 8-day trip to London with my dad. Should be fun - I'm getting some spending money (can you say 'Viking hunt'? ;)) and going around and seeing all the stuff. Not to mention, going to a line party for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in LONDON! I'm gonna have a blast, but I'll miss you guys! I'll make sure to take some good photos. See you soon! Bloody Jay
  14. Ah, but prateek, everyone gets Vikings on Shop At Home. Europe doesn't get Dinos at all.
  15. That's such a classic, bildur... I remember reading The Ribbon when I was like 3.
  16. I'll contact you via PM. I use my hotmail mostly for an MSN Messenger dummy.
  17. Well, I have lots, just tell me what you're looking for (within reason - I'd like to trade minifigs/accessories, mostly) and how many BURPs you have. I'd like to keep it in this thread, as well, so I don't have my PM box flooded!
  18. Hey all! After looking over plans for my next project, I realized that I need a LOT more rock pieces than I thought. I could use as many as 100 more! :o I should have 20 or so lined up with one deal, so I'm looking for another EIGHTY. If you have eight or more you're willing to part with, I could REALLY use them! Either size, in old dark gray, of course. I have lots of Star Wars figs for trade (albeit not many rare ones), as well as other miscellaneous stuff. I could really use some good deals here, if anyone's willing to help me out! Thanks, Bloody Jay!
  19. But that will probably be available at S@H as well.
  20. Yeah, this is Jan line, not something like the Ultimate Space Battle.
  21. The English; this is way back around 1350 or 1400, when the Northumbrians were conducting Viking raids throughout Western Europe. The English, especially, would attempt to convert prisoners before executing them, and any successfully converted Viking would have any references to Norse gods removed from his armor and a cross attached. It's a collector's item; an extremely rare and valuable one, however. It seems our Mr. Crowley has a taste for history.
  22. Well, one is obviously a fake! There were no horns on authentic Viking suits of armor. The other, however, appears as though it was confiscated by the English during one of the attempted conversions of the Northumbrians; note the crosses melted onto the breastplate.
  23. You should probably watch for the magnets. Also, the 'tent sale' (I think) is going on now, so you might actually get some good deals in LLCA.
  24. Oh, come on Phes. I'm sure if you tried really hard, you could move your fingers for a couple minutes. ;) I edited my post with links.
