Most parts should be available currently, I think. Either through LEGO Pick A Brick, LEGO Customer Service (Bricks &Pieces/Buy Bricks) or BrickLink. And probably a bit cheaper overall than buying the original twice i.e. the reason why I modified it in the first place Those that are not available should be easily replaceable though. Like the old Trans-Clear Slope 33 3x6 on the roof. Just use black tiles on top of the newer Trans-Clear Slope 33 3x6 without Inner Walls and you should be fine

MODification of one of my favorite sets, 10027 Train Engine Shed. Probably designed 6 years ago and only slightly upgraded since Building instructions at snakebyte.dk Very high setting render from Stud.io

Presenting another Danish locomotive...DSB Litra MZ (I) History: The Danish State Railways (DSB) powerful Litra MZ (I) locomotives were built by Swedish Nydquist & Holm AB (Nohab) and Danish subcontractors on license from General Motors from the year 1967 to 1969. 10 (I)s were built followed by version (II) - (IV) later on. My model: Scale: 1:60 Lenght: 40 studs Width: 6 studs Bricks: 631 Motortype: PF or 9v Model built: 2015 (actually my 4th version) They were all painted DSB maroon typical of that time with the highly recognizable DSB wing logo on the fronts. Reddish-Brown has been selected as I think it is the most accurate LEGO colour available - at least when the locomotive is dirty or the photos have faded The stickers are homemade, no surprise there The top can easily be lifted off providing access to the battery box and all others parts inside the locomotive. The IR receiver is almost flush with the top making the signals from the IR remote easier to catch. DSB livery from the 70s and 80s with Litra MZ (I) in front of the later version (III).

More or less done designing Railion Bombardier Traxx F140 AC2 in LLD. Next stop, building it in real bricks and putting them stickers on

Half of it is You can read more about the custom adapter here

The rear of the upper part is the exact same width (and length) inside as the battery.
-
Yeah, the battery doesn't last very long, about 30 min on a good day...can't have it all :-)
-
Yep, the middle wheel does indeed float above the tracks and is this part which actually works just fine from the side as blind drivers for the standard sized train wheels

Presenting another Danish shunter...DSB Litra MH 322 History: The Danish State Railways (DSB) diesel shunter Litra MH were built in great numbers by Frichs in Denmark from the year 1960 to 1965. In all 120 shunters were built to replace the steam shunters still being used. The shunters were repainted in the 80's to black and red from the original dark green. The last shunter was decommissioned in 2001. ©Hans Stückler My model: Scale: 1:54ish Lenght: 26 studs Width: 7 studs Bricks: 455 Motortype: PF Model built: 2012-14 The stickers are homemade with self-adhesive labels printed by a copy shop and then cut by myself to fit. The upper part is primarily constructed with plates and tiles, in general only a few standard bricks are used in the construction. The model is run by PF and requires one 9v battery connected by custom adapter to the Power Functions M-Motor. Pull and speed are acceptable. The shunter pulling a white Litra Gs wagon.

What about different colors and more current pieces like this MOD (mine)?
-
Thanks! Even with a PF Train motor there would still not be room inside the shunter for a four studs wide Battery Box...in addition to the lower chassis only being one to two plates high.
-
Thanks! I'm going there too as an exhibitor and taking the shunter with me, so find me and I will let you have a close look at it if you want
