  2. Funny, I had my first LEGO dream last night. I dreamt we were visiting LEGOLAND Windsor, but for some reason we were staying at a nearby Army barracks. When we were going around, I got kind of hungry so asked the chef to rustle us up some food. But then the SSM found out and made us run around Miniland 10 times, shouting "I will not ask the chef to make me food!". Not strictly a Lego dream, but I thought it was weird and fitted this thread.
  3. My 4512 Cargo Train which I ordered off BrickLink arrived this morning. :-D Also there was another package arrived for me which I missed, but the slip says international packet. So I think it's my 7904 City Advent Calendar.
  4. Bada boom! Here's your coat, there's the door, I called for a taxi already. :-D ;-)
  5. Ok, for this price it had better be darned good if I'm going to buy it. As others have said, I don't want a bunch of Technic parts either. And it had better be of a height that looks good with minifigs walking under it.
  6. Cafe Corner. :-) Do I get a cookie? :-D PS: Oh, and very nice houses, but I already thought that the Creator houses WERE minifig scale?
  7. I'd rather pay less for bricks with seperate stickers. It gives you the choice; either complete the model and keep it assembled with stickers, or build it without the stickers then disassemble it and use the pieces. Printed pieces mean that you have no choice but to use that piece in the setting it was intended; ie. if you have a 1x2 smooth plate with a keyboard print on it, it would be silly to use it in a situation other than as a keyboard for a computer. It would look just silly on the side of a building. However stickers mean that if you ever need to use the piece, then you can just take off the sticker and wash away any residue (Although I've taken stickers off 10 year old pieces and never had any residue). Oh, and there's the upside that it's also cheaper. :)
  8. There's a new harbour set coming out which has pretty much the same in it; a cargo ship, container crane, dock and building, along with a truck. It's 7994 Cargo Sea Port and comes out in June: http://brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=7994-1
  9. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Brilliant movie. Saw it tonight for like the millionth time. I love it.
  10. It's nice, but the Berlin diorama only takes up one side of a room? The rest is all stuff like Adventurers, animals, BIG people, and cinemas? Seems like a wasted opportunity to make an inner city LEGOLAND.
  11. Oops, only just noticed I posted in the wrong thread. I meant to post in the Discovery Center one. Really sorry. :-$

  13. I foresee all LEGO being sold online. You can't buy LEGO sets in the shops anymore, instead you buy a "LEGO printer". You then go on the website, buy the design for a brick, then print it off yourself. I also see LEGO charging for the amount of printouts you need. ie. The brick plan costs
  14. Yesterday I bought the new LEGO CITY Passenger Plane (7893), Airport Fire Truck (7891), and Rescue Helicopter (7903), all from Toys R Us at 20% off. Today I had some spare coinage in my pocket so I bought Mini Digger (7246). :-D Also I was browsing eBay and came across an auction for the 1994 set River Runners (6665). I had this set when I was a kid and looking at it brought back so many memories. I think it's an awesome set! I won the auction, 100% complete with instructions but no box, for
  15. I wouldn't worry about it. Although yes things are noticable, and when building the set can annoy to some extent, once built the thing looks spectacular. I don't notice it anymore, and infact I've stopped caring. It's an awesome set!
  16. I used to love TinTin when I was a kid. There's a really awesome limited edition boxed set in HMV right now, with all of the cartoon series which I've been meaning to buy for a while. Might need to get around to doing so!
  17. Oceans 13 Stranger Than Fiction <-- Must buy the DVD at some point Spiderman 3 Pirates of the Carribean 3 The Simpsons Movie Live Free or Die Hard <-- Can't wait 300 Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix The Prisoner: Or How I Planned to Kill Tony Blair
  18. I know about the limited run tour which is run like twice a year and costs like
  19. I'm curious to know this myself. Does LEGO use the old batch method of producing product, where they make say...100,000, sell them, and then do another batch of 100,000, and so on? Or do they stick to the limited run method, where they make maybe 250,000, and once they're gone they're gone? If they did this they would have to produce enough the first time around to last them until the next collection of sets came out.
  20. Nice reviews, and nice pictures of the sets too! The large truck and garbage truck are already on my "to buy" lists, as is the cement mixer. Oh, and the petrol station. ...and the train station, sea port, container crane, etc...damn I'm gonna be so broke. :-/
  21. I've made a few observations: 1. I bought Cafe Corner, and yes, there are slight colour variations between bricks of the same colour, but it doesn't annoy me at all. Also the circles on the windows are pretty common now, ie they are on the new Fire Station and on the new Police Station (My copies anyway). Again, it doesn't bother me so. 2. The bricks don't "seem" like they are made out of a different plastic than they used to be. They don't seem any more brittle or soft, and they certainly still have the same amount of stay, maybe more. 3. Having just gotten out of a dark age, prices have pretty much remained the same since I was a kid. I remember small police cars costing
  22. Cool idea with hiding half the windows, but doesn't doing this ruin the wallpaper patern inside?
  23. It looks very impressive, but I agree, 18 floors looks stupid. I would have left it at 3 or 4, as demonstrated on the back of the box. At any rate, a hell of a lot of money went into that.
  24. If it's remotely close to minifig scale then I'll be buying it (ie. If it looks alright next to minifigs). Not a bad price; slightly cheaper than Cafe Corner, nice and tall (Even taller than 7905 Building Crane, by 40cm!), and lots and lots of pieces. As I said, I just hope it'll look alright in a minifig scale town!
  25. I voted yes as the themes are completely different. Also I think there have been enough underwater themes over the years to warrant their own forums. Aqua Raiders, Aqua Nauts, Divers, Aqua Zone, etc.
