  1. Ur chassis looks very fragile and empty, also I prefer the original overall design sorry Any updates on this plower gerhard? I really like the look of this!
  2. Ok I figured it out The LDD above and it works quiet well,I'll just change my friction pins on the steering now to make it even better, What's people's opinions on the power pullers wheels on the unimog? They also seem very expensive to buy on BL !
  3. Hi guys I need help,iv built the steering using the LDD pics in the other page but when I connect a battery box and try see how it works all the gears start crunching like there driving opposite to each other, the clutch gear is driving a different direction and crunching, what am I doing wrong?..
  4. Ted I'm thinking of getting this set for Xmas as iv never had a technic super car because I'm more into construction vehicels so I should be something different for me :) hope it's worth it too :)
  5. I find using energiser lithium batteries has more power and they last a long long time, try this first.also my red switch works every time with the lithiums :)
  6. Look at the YouTube clip a page or 2 back,it's the easiest and best way to install the motor, works great with no changes to original design :) I really think Lego ment us to do this :) The 12/20 sounds quiet good but does it take away the torque like the 8/24 has? Is it much faster with the 12/20 ?video would help too!
  7. Has anyone tried this or have a video before I order parts,iv tried the original method with the xL motor and 36 tooth gear and it works quiet well so I'm not sure which to stick with :(
  8. Of course they made the right colour choice as orange is a main colour for unimogs, also it looks the best without a doubt :)
  9. As iv said already the plow can be built from 8069 and 8264, u will be missing a few small parts but u will manage with others easy, the main part u will be missing is the grey H frame but u can make up ur own with 2 11 hole beams :)
  10. How do u mean gearbox only, these are what's needed for the steering conversion yes? Have u any videos of the steering working?
  11. Why are we talking about mini sets in a flagship topic lol
  12. Have u a parts list as it's quiet hard too see whats needed to build this?is it much of an improvement over using xl motor?
  13. Could this be used to centre steering in 8110 with a motor?
  14. I ment the link in my post not the speed one
  15. Yes u can as I said in snowplow topic I used 8264 and 8049, all u need off 8264 is the rear bed ;)
  16. I'm not sure is that as good as the link above as ur still not getting the left to right function like the one above.
  17. It's a great mod indeed :) the motor in the chassis looks like it's ment to be there :) my 42 tooth is too strong on the steering so I'll be fitting the 36 as soon as it arrives, also iv fitted a poll reverse switch the other side of the mog to be able to use the normal mog functions separate, @ giojunkstyle iv also been wondering about the speed remote but it might not be easy to work with the steering,iv done a mod to the original remote where u fit a steering wheel,It's on YouTube. This is what I used My link
  18. It works very well but im still waiting on my 36 tooth gear for the steering, the 42 tooth gear has to much torque so can slip teeth on the rack if u keep locking the steering,I'd like to try find a way to self centre the steering tho :) My next mod is to build a low loader trailer so I can tow my 8043 around :) my unimog is well able to carry heavy loads :) Has anyone any ideas or instructions for a stud less trailer?
  19. I like this :) does Lego do any brushes like this?
  20. Whats wrong with ur pump?did they actually change the pump at all?mine works well.
  21. For anyone interested iv just nearly finished motorizing my unimog,i went by a youtube clip i seen and its the best iv seen yet! Works great and the mog has very good torque and the steering works like a charm too, You will see the parts and instruction in the clip, the best thing was where we placed the motor its nearly like lego intended it to be there and best of all its still 4X4 :) Id even go as far as saying that it would be great outdoor on offroad :) Thanks to 1plaz62 for sharing this. Heres the clip!maybe someone can fix the link to come up properly!
