Alastair I remember those lights years ago, I'd like to but them again if they will work off current power functions? Have u a brick link part number for the differant colour caps u can put over the light? Did Lego ever make any other type flashing beckons ?

Ur one of very few that don't seem to like the crawler. Even tho I havnt got it yet it looks great and drives very well for a Lego set, also look how robust it is. It's a huge leap forward for Lego and as dluder says it can be modded easy and the hole fun is about the build too. I'm like u Allan I like machinery and pneumatic sets but it's nice to see something differant like the crawler for a change. Ps. I'm still waiting on the crawler to be stocked in Smyths Ireland it was ment to be in last Monday but still no sign its frustrating :(

I agree the unimog is a great set and very complex but it's also a big step for Lego to build a crawler and it's first wheeled rc vehicle too :) It's going to be exciting to see people put the crawler to the test and I also like trial trucks. Yes u can buy proper rc outdoor off roasters but it's not near as fun as building ur own so the crawler has the best of both worlds.

U prefer the mog ? The mog is not rc lol

What did u do for more ground clearance or is it much higher than standard? Also how does tha Lego tires perform on off road? Patience is rite :) I'll be leaving my diffs in too!

Yes nice moc but no good for off road as it was intended.

Yes but it's very clear in that video that the crawler under performs with rechargeable batteries so I don't get why people use them. Iv asked this a number of times but got no reply and that is why not use lithium AA batteries. There's been tests done with these on 8043 with huge gains. There lighter and more powerfull than both rechargeable or standard 1.5v AA batteries. Yes there expensive but they do last longer! Anyone have any taughts on lithiums? Great video on batterie comparison between rechargeable and normal AA s. U can clearly see that rechargeable and not near as good so why bother! Has anyone tried AA lithium batteries yet? Iv found them great in other models.

Ok smyths says the crawler is to be in stock yesterday the 30th but still nothing :( I emailed them and they said it will be in this week not sure which day,I was hoping to get it today as I'm off work but I'll have to wait :(

Great video but I really don't like them tires they just don't right to me! Ur crawler looks very slow is this down to the tires or have u changed the gearing?

Cause this time Lego listened to us for black wheels. Iv black on my mog too. Grey is not as all realistic. That s looks horrid who ruined there crawler ;(
