Full PF Backhoe loader
davidmull replied to Kladovec's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The lateral shift is very nice but jurgens ver 2 is a really nice looking machine and a lot nicer than his first version. -
It looks like 9398, there hardly going to bring that out? Or will it just the shell?

Do lego actually build these models that reach over 10k votes? If so would sheepo have submitted the building instructions too them? -
Land-Rover Defender 110

I'm not sure how cuusoo works but it does not seem fair if this set doesn't go ahead in a scaled down version to reduce cost. It's got over 10k but yet it could be still turned down :( -
Best Batteries
davidmull replied to MrNumbskull13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Also i forgot to add, lithium AA batteries are very light in comparison to alkaline batteries. Win win all round :) I have just bought the 8878 rechargeable pack and yes it is good and has good power but the downside is 7.2 volts. -
Still don't see these new motors in lego shop? Was it not march?

davidmull replied to MrNumbskull13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have the best answer, energiser lithium batteries, great power and not drop in power ether, also they last a long time. I'm really buzzled why there not used more by technic fans. http://www.amazon.com/Energizer-Lithium-Batteries-count-Longer/dp/B00003IEME -
Sheepo's Land Rover 110 review
davidmull replied to allanp's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Mmm that's quiet expensive for parts, I wonder is there any sets you could use to even half the number of parts, also what other colour could you build it in that would look nice too? -
Finally after getting a lot of parts together iv the beast built :) Jurgens fully power function backhoe! Amazing model and build experience and it really is very big, I'm amazed how complex this model is and how well all the functions work. The backhoe even works very well with the m-motors and the 8878 has no problems powering all the functions. The only change I made was i added a beacon bar which i integrated properly into the roof and it looks very well, it's the old 9v twin beacon with clear yellow bricks to give it the beacon bar look. I also tucked away all the wiring properly too as I like to have things tidy :) It's the nicest model iv ever seen and I have most of the flagships from over the years. For anyone that has not built this please do and u will see for yourself. I would give it an easy 10/10 :) This guy (jurgen is a genious and my favorite mocs are all his. Here's a few photos.
