LEGO Dimensions Discussion
LEGODalekbuster523 replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Yeah, the only new franchises I absolutely want to see next year are Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. As good as Sonic (which was also rumoured) would be, I wouldn't want to see it at the expense of no more Doctor Who or Jurassic World (I would say Ghostbusters but those in the know have said we're getting more NFC minifigures for that franchise) whereas Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts happening this year would make sense considering the prequel is being released this November. -
Future Marvel Superheroes Rumors & Speculation

Yes. It's odd because they are one and the same. You only have to take Batman's mask off and swap it for the right hairpiece to get Bruce Wayne. -

It's still the same character twice. And not even a separate incarnation (because obviously he can't regenerate), as with the TARDIS set and 11 and 12 minifigures. I think Peter Parker and Spider-Man minifigures should be in separate sets. -

Exactly. Claire Dearing is a character that NEEDS to be playable in the game. It's strange how there's such a lack of female characters. Whilst I am a male player and so don't find playing as female characters as appealing, it would be nice to see more choice of characters to use introduced other than Wyldstyle and Wonder Woman (although it sounds like there will be anyway given that the female Ghostbusters are apparently going to be released as NFC minifigures). Not surprised about Harry Potter but Mr T? Seriously? Mr T can be fun but who's going to be desperate to play as him? Better not be at the expense of more Doctor Who Dimensions packs or as Missy would say about Davros, I'll scratch their eyes out! -

You do realise Spider-Man and Peter Parker are the same person, right? We don't need two Peter Parker/Spider-Man minifigures in one set. -

It's a shame they couldn't have included Claire Dearing instead of the ACU Trooper though, considering she was the female lead. -

I'm not as confident about Toy Story 4. I think it could be a mistake; Toy Story 3 rounded the franchise perfectly.- 279 replies

Ghostbusters (Reboot) 2016 sets rumors and discussion

Personally, I expect it'll be a £45 set ($65.34) because I doubt they'd go to the extent of a more expensive one when all most people who buy the set would want is the new Ecto-1 and the female Ghostbusters. Although I certainly don't think £55.09 (which it would be for us in UK when converted) would be too expensive for just the new Ecto-1. -

I suggested the 70s computer bank in my post but a roman column would be more interesting. -

That wouldn't be a problem. Doc Brown is a quest giver in Back to the Future World and he's being released this month. A TARDIS based on the Master's from the classic series, with a working chameleon circuit. The build could be based on the 1970s computer bank from the 70s. -

I still don't think it would work that well though. It would look a little odd.- 4,155 replies

Yeah, Missy would have her device. Anthony Ainley's Master should have the ability to use numerous disguises so he isn't detected by security cameras. Eric Roberts' the ability to possess/'mind control' as they call it in the LEGO games. Also: Derek Jacobi's Master weilds the loose cable around he attacked Chantho with. -

They'd probably be best leaving Mike for any future Monsters' Inc sets then (if Disney/Pixar do a sequel or another prequel to it).- 4,155 replies

If they do Missy (and I'll be shocked if they don't), I hope they'll allow you to play as every incarnation of the Master so far. It would be so much fun to play as Missy then regenerate into Roger Degaldo when you die. -

Each to their own but that's exactly how I find it: having Bart Simpson pilot the TARDIS around Hill Valley is hilarious IMO. -

Agreed. And I love the bizarreness of having Batman and Sonic The Hedgehog in the same universe. LEGO Racers would be a lot of fun. In fact, maybe they could just do a separate LEGO Racers toys-to-life kart game where you can use your existing NFC minifigures alongside new ones? -

As I said, I think it depends if there's anything interesting about the building exterior other than it being a chinese restaurant. A chinese restaurant is not as exciting a location as a firehouse. -

No, sounds like one set based on the new Ecto-1 and a few Dimensions packs. -
I read Doctor Who Comic, Tales From The TARDIS and Doctor Who Magazine. I also have graphic novel volumes featuring IDW's Doctor Who Prisoners of Time series and the first six issues of S.H.I.E.L.D. (The one inspired by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). Also: The Only Good Dalek graphic novel.
