LEGO Ideas Discussion
LEGODalekbuster523 replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have a feeling Mr Feige has said something he wasn't supposed to say... Basically, he referred to unannounced LEGO sets in a reply to a tweeter joking about how much he was going to spend on Ghostbusters merchandise this year. Along the lines of 'You're wallet's going to weep even more once you see the LEGO'. -
Ghostbusters (Reboot) 2016 sets rumors and discussion
LEGODalekbuster523 replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd rather one brilliant set than six pointless ones. That's the problem with most of the licensed themes: they create so many redundant sets just to make it a 'range'. -
Ghostbusters (Reboot) 2016 sets rumors and discussion
LEGODalekbuster523 replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
That's great to hear. The only set I will likely want based on the reboot (even though it looks absolutely amazing) unless there's anything special about the Chinese restaurant HQ and it's not simply just a standard Chinese Restaurant. I can't really see what they could do with a Chinese Restaurant though because it's not as 'exciting' as a firehouse converted into a headquarters (no pole for the characters to slide down, for example). -

It's a joke. It's not supposed to be accurate to the history of LEGO sets! -
Ghostbusters (Reboot) 2016 sets rumors and discussion
LEGODalekbuster523 replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Don't find that too surprising really; it saves LEGO time making pointless small sets nobody will buy to make something a range when all you really want is the new Ecto-1. Will be great to have some Dimensions packs based on the reboot; I love the idea of having Peter Venkman, (hopefully) Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore and Ray Stantz on the toy pad at the same time as three of the female reboot Ghostbusters. -

It would look so odd seeing Dorothy ride Toto. This is exactly why I reckon there will be some unannounced sets released. It just doesn't seem right if the Wicked Witch is the only character released. -

I really want a Baxter Building set featuring the comic book versions of the Fantastic Four.

I would get the Cyberman fun pack first because at least then you can be looking at the Doctor Who Adventure World before you get the level pack. -

Good point, although if Ideas sets based on existing licenses won't ever be made you'd think they would specify it themselves. -

I'm surprised at how many people buy NFC minifigures based on the abilities they have. Personally, I buy based on which franchises I'm interested in and which characters I want to add to my collection more (hence why I have two characters with drone abilities - Cyberman and Doc Brown - on preorder). Each to their own, though. -

I think LEGO and Warner Bros. are pretty 'chummy' as well, considering WB Games are always listed alongside Traveller's Tales for the videogames.- 4,155 replies

They already have the Jurassic Park license plus it's the right size, so I reckon the Jurassic Park Explorer stands a very good chance. -

LEGO Marvel's Avengers Video Game Discussion
LEGODalekbuster523 replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I disagree, I like the vehicles when they don't have their own levels. For me, driving a vehicle and shooting at stuff without the option to get out of it is not what a LEGO game should be. I prefer being able to find vehicles to drive in levels with the option to get out and punch stuff for LEGO studs. And driving around hub worlds in vehicles is fun IMO; the Fantasticar in the previous game in particular was very enjoyable to pilot.- 647 replies

Favorite/Least favorite/most wanted licensed minifigure?
LEGODalekbuster523 replied to Zoshi's topic in LEGO Licensed
My favourite is the LEGO Dimensions 12th Doctor because it's Peter Capaldi...in minifigure form...in his main Doctor costume. What more could you want? My least favourite has to be Martin Prince because the book he's carrying is nearly as big as him and that completely spoils the figure. My most wanted is Lord Voldemort but every LEGO Harry Potter set has been discontinued now and I'm certainly not going to pay more than a set's worth to get hold of one. Licensed minifigures I'd like to see made: The 1st Doctor The 2nd Doctor The 3rd Doctor The 4th Doctor The 5th Doctor The 6th Doctor The 7th Doctor The 8th Doctor The War Doctor The 9th Doctor The 10th Doctor Missy (All based on their Dimensions designs) Sarah Jane Smith Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart Captain Jack Harkness Ian Chesterton Rose Tyler Donna Noble Amy Pond Rory Williams Patty Tolan Abby Yates Jillian Holtzmann Erin Gilbert Sideshow Bob Principal Skinner Sideshow Mel Moe- 25 replies

Best (and worst?) of 2015
LEGODalekbuster523 replied to BlockLogo's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Best Theme: Dimensions Set: The TARDIS Minifig: The 12th Doctor (from the Dimensions level pack) Worst: Theme: Jurassic World (I like Jurassic Park and a lot more could have been done with it - why only focus on the most recent movie for instance and not the original trilogy?) Set: Pteranodon Capture (Although all of the Jurassic World sets are terrible as they don't resemble enough key scenes from the film) Minifig: Martin Prince because his book accessory is stupidly bigger than him. -

Yeah, I'd love a series 3. Don't see why they couldn't just alternate it with Disney, so Disney this year then next Simpsons and after that back to Disney.- 1,195 replies

If Lego Indiana Jones got rebooted...?
LEGODalekbuster523 replied to legosamsonite's topic in LEGO Licensed
I can't imagine Disney would want to keep in line with the TV series. I think they'll want to create their own canon that doesn't contradict the films and honestly, I can't imagine Harrison Ford will be fit enough to return for a 6th Indiana Jones film. A 5th is already stretching it; certainly, he'll struggle with the action sequences. Killing him off would both help set up a new generation and rid the series the burden of an ageing Harrison Ford. -
Simpsons 2015 Rumors and Discussion
LEGODalekbuster523 replied to Sir Brickalot's topic in LEGO Licensed
Don't forget Maggie too. I would be happy just to have the complete family first before they completely call it quits. Only Homer and Bart of the Simpsons family being playable is strange, even if they are the most popular members. I'm really not bothered if they talk or not. It would just be nice to have the option to play as the entire family at once. And I think your second argument is a moot point considering you are only taking into consideration what's been currently announced and not the unannounced sets they have planned for the next three years. If Doctor Who only has three characters in the game, I will be shocked considering one of the promo pictures for the game seemingly features an unreleased Clara Oswald NFC minifigure in-game next to an NFC Doctor. Same with Ghostbusters, we're we've already seen Egon Spengler in adverts. If LEGO wanted, Simpsons could easily see the rest of the family released. But it sounds like they aren't going to be bothered and you can understand why us fans of the Simpsons would be disappointed that three major characters aren't going to get a release. Personally, I don't care if they're boring or don't offer exciting gameplay/story elements, I'd just like to be able to have the entire family on the Toy Pad at once. Besides, I think you're wrong. Lisa could have the hacking and technology abilities whereas Marge (basically being the house wife) could be able to vacuum up hidden items in the same way Scooby Doo and Emmet's Extractor can dig up stuff.- 1,195 replies
