  1. Yeah, two separate Freeze sets, assuming TLBM rumors are true.
  2. Four words. Dynamic. Duo. Funhouse. Escape. Very excited to hear about a Wonder Woman set, for no other reason than after 5 loooooong years, THE ROCK and his millions (and millions) of fans across the world will finally be able to get their hands on a Wonder Woman villain.
  3. Don't worry, from what I have heard he is way off the mark anyway in regards to any possible spoilers he gave off. Keep in mind in the same post he said Homecoming sets were "almost guaranteed" based on no evidence just, "Spider-man is Marvel's Batman". Soo... tells you something about the mindset of who wrote it. He's just jumping to conclusions. But on topic, I am really intrigued by Kamala Khan. The whole new long arms (Which sound awesome) thing aside, Wonder Woman's hair? Not complaining or anything but that seems just a tad on the long side, curious to see what the final minifigure looks like. Detroit Steel still sounds off. I believe it's coming but it won't feel real until I see it. Definitely hyped for next year though.
  4. At least two Mr. Freezes between both TLBM and the Juniors set. Don't get your hopes all the way up as anything can happen... but be ready to add a proper Mister Freeze to your collection.
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if they were more popular than Disney. We live in a time where comic book characters own every form of media at the moment. And no comic book character is bigger then Batman. In saying that though, if the series is predominately obscure characters... well, then maybe not. But yes. Be on your pointiest. But at the same time, a higher demand for a product means more of the product... So even if things start rocky I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities to get them all, and when it is all said and done, online stores always exist for the ones you miss out on.
  6. This is very well done. I've always liked the sleeker Batcaves where architecture is visible over the more rugged Batcaves with chains holding everything together. You've interpreted this almost perfectly. Nice job!
  7. In the near future I would highly doubt it. But as you said if it keeps growing as it has been, there is no reason it couldn't...
  8. This is my biggest problem with TLG. Both Friends and Disney Princesses have been awesome lines filled with great builds, I mean absolutely fantastic builds, but they aim them specifically at females. LEGO was something my wife was into more so than I did and both of my sisters have more LEGO than I. All LEGO themes aren't gender specific as anyone can enjoy castle or superheroes or city etc. etc. The bright stereotypical girly colors used in the the sets are in don't bother me. It's the inclusion of "Minidolls", as if the Minifigure was too "masculine" for girls? We ended up getting a proper Aladdin and Genie yet Jasmine is a minidoll and it infuriates me more than anything LEGO has done. DC girls is an awesome show, made by awesome people. But keeping the character designs strictly as "Mini-Dolls"?!? It bothers me. A lot. Apologies for ranting. Please continue your discussion.
  9. That's what I thought, but really didn't want to accept. Welp. A reversible belt is better than only one style of belt...
  10. Surprised to see no mention of the different belts. Surely I'm not the only one to see it, but I think it's worth pointing out anyway. Batman obviously has a very traditional square-buckle: http://comicsallianc...07/IMG_0081.jpg Whereas Batgirl is shown with the three separate bars on her buckle: http://comicsallianc...07/IMG_0077.jpg I'd be curious to see if there are two separate pieces or if Batgirl's is on backwards in the photos... probably the latter but hey, wishful thinking can sometimes be a good thing. Also on the topic of the belt pieces, I personally won't be doing anything with them other than display them in the cave. However while I am not a huge fan of the way they look on the minifigure, I don't understand the outrage and distaste for them. Since 2006 there have been plenty of opportunities to get a Batman (and recently Batgirl too), with printed belts, so to actually be upset by the inclusion of a said piece seems (to me at least) very ridiculous.
  11. No but can we actually just take a moment and try to comprehend how Kite Man and Tarantula, supposedly are going to be released before Mad Hatter, assuming he isn't in one of these sets... Hatter is no mainstream character by any means but certainly shouldn't be amongst the few villains like these who haven't been in a set yet either
  12. Catwoman's motorcycle too! I really really cannot wait until next year
  13. The Miles Morales set also included a fan favourite villain, Carnage and was a considerably smaller set. I have been reading Marvel Comics for 20+ years and can only remember coming across Super Adaptoid maybe once. I know I had to Google him when the rumour dropped. And unless you're a reader of comics or into the mobile gaming side of things, Kamila Khan is relatively unknown too. So to expand on Legocity2713 asked: Would LEGO trust a set to sell without its most iconic iteration of the character, when no other character in the set has any mass appeal to them either? I also want to point out that from what I've read here (And correct me if I'm wrong), Sam Wilson was only thrown into the mix when both wings & Captain America were mentioned. Everyone who has shared info has said Cap is in the jet and the wings belong to Super Adaptoid, so.... shouldn't that be the end of it? At least until we have more information...
  14. I know this thread has been dead for a second but after reading this it's bugging me.. Actually, actually, actually, as someone with ties in the industry, I have asked people closely affiliated with Marvel who told me the same thing. When I posted this both Marvel and Sony were still overlooking the finer details of the deal and coming to an agreement as to who can distribute MCU Spidey content. As it stands now it's 70%/30% Sony's way. We were lucky to get him in LEGO Avengers as DLC. Marvel only owns all the rights on non film based merchandise meaning any toys, videogames, mugs etc etc. based on the Rami trilogy, TASM films, or Tom Holland's MCU adaption Sony's approval is needed and most of the profit goes to them.
  15. Can't blame people for being cautious though, last year's 'Nekchir' incident was... interesting to say the least.
  16. I think there is a difference between inaccuracy and lack of printing/ having older looking pieces. Harry's hair as you said works for the first two films and I think the same could be said with Thor. Characters without printing happens too often to bump each one for it. I'd say 2013's Mister Freeze deserves to be on the list for sure though. Although while others have brought up lack of goggles what bugs me most is this being a character claiming to be dead to emotions coming with one very emotive expression. 2004's Harry Osborn looked nothing like James Franco. (Honourable mention to 2002's Norman Osborn). Also TDKR Bane while being an awesome figure still bothers me to this day because of the green mask.
  17. You nailed this. Well done indeed!!
  18. This is all great news! Calendar Man?!? This line keeps looking better and better.
  19. Super bummed out they are using minidolls. I guess it was to be expected, but damn... Thank you for the info by the way!
  20. I have high hopes for this entire line. Superheroes sets have never had great builds and I am sure I am not the only one who mainly buys them for the minifigs. But considering this is a LEGO Movie tie-in and the quality of those sets being so high this could be some of the best/ most creative builds (DC at least) has got. And looking at these two sets I am definitely not disappointed. While I agree the Batmobile doesn't look like a traditional Batmobile the build is still decent. The Joker's lowrider is definitely one of my favorite vehicles LEGO has ever made (along with the Agents convertible from 2008). Plus the mini-figures for both are honestly incredible in my opinion (With exception to Man-bat and maybe even Batman but even they are decent grabs). I look forward to seeing what else this theme has to offer, because as of now I am very impressed.
  21. Is that a new hairpiece for the Joker? Looks slicked back yet sort of spiked... They all look good regardless. Hopefully this weekend we can see more character designs if not an actual set
  22. Season 1 airs this Fall. You are right, 2017 looks too crowded for any chance of sets but trust me; from what I know, the odds of them happening eventually, at this point in time seem high.
  23. And that is being generous. If they don't show up at SDCC I'd probably go as far as to expect reveals late Nov/ Dec.
  24. *When you open the thread out of pure curiosity as to why it's blowing up, and what people are speculating about. Then there on your screen staring you in the face is She-Hulk and Red Hulk just real casual like. As if it were that one time your father just drops the fact that Santa wasn't real without you having any idea that was case or conversation with anyone about anything relating to the the existence of this being and you sit in the back seat of your 1995 Ford Contour just confused, beginning to question the fabric of reality around you, and the likelihood of everything you know being a lie. What is happening? Why can I see a LEGO Red Hulk? Why is there a LEGO She-Hulk? Who started making wishes come true? Who do I thank for this? What is happening?
  25. If we were betting I would put money on Doomsday as a big-fig for sure, especially considering the characters popularity just boosted. Wouldn't bet on a standard Bizarro though. Catwoman and Bane both got Micros and they weren't brought back into the regular line. I mean they were a wide release while Bizarro wasn't, but they were also 4 years ago and discontinued. I mean who knows though... stranger things have happened.
