  1. Hahahah, I can already see the smug small Lego retailers like Toyworld insisting on keeping to that price. Honestly no idea what the Technic department have been smoking the past five years
  2. I'm not so sure it's Lime. I think it's Yellowish-Green going by Bricklink's colour guide, which is weird considering the real car does use lime.
  3. (You should mention how much of a waste the missed opportunity was and my little conspiracy theory on why this set turned out the way it did)
  4. All these questions - you already gathering data for your breaking news video? I believe it's the first time we've had them in black. We got them five years ago in LBG for the Liebherr R9800
  5. I wonder if what really happened here was: Designer/s were working on an RC model They got rug pulled and had to remove almost all the C+/PU components halfway through development They had to pivot to a non-RC, motorized model and didn't have enough time to design a full powertrain, leading to completely barebones functions with an extremely simplified gearbox Management refused to give the designers more time, or to budge on the price point
  6. Bucket attachment/clamp. Note the worm gear and the rubber band
  7. MSRP is a completely arbitrary number. The actual actual value of this set will be determined by wholesale costs and backdoor deals with retailers, to the point that I think we'll be able to find this for 200-250 EUR very soon. The Zetros price absolutely plummeted during its run, down to nearly half-price. I think the REAL damage we should be talking about is the missed opportunity cost. How long do we now have to wait before we get another non-RC, motorized excavator flagship with a full suite of functions? Another five years? They had one chance here to make it, and all they could come up with was four individual functions that can't be operated simultaneously. Are the bean counters now going to use this set as an excuse to never do a non-RC flagship scale excavator again? This is an 18+ set, FFS. It's a gorgeous model, but it's a half-baked shelf queen. Like god dammit, there's no excuse to sh*t the bed this hard.
  8. I'm really liking how densely packed the functions all seem to be in this model
  9. Kinda funny how the headlights in the front make it give more Aventador vibes than Revuelto
  10. From those pics am I seeing correctly that there's double wishbone suspension in the front, and a live or pendular axle at the rear with yellow shocks?
  11. I know right, what the actual hell? 2500 pieces with only basic motorization shouldn't be any more than 200-250€. I wonder if they originally wanted to do RC...
  12. I like those wheel covers, quite interesting and organic
  13. SWEET HEAVENS YES!!! Now if only it was a motorized pneumatic model Actually wait no what the actual hell, this sucks. There's no drive to the tracks??? Wtf is the point of a model like this if they're gonna price it like an RC model and then skimp out on functions? It's not even difficult to implement drive.
  14. Dude I know right, finally something that actually looks like what it's meant to be respresenting
  15. Damn that looks pretty slick, very interested to see what the rest will look like
  16. What I mean is I don't think people will get confused and buy something thinking they're getting something else. If they do they have only themselves to blame for not reading packaging
  17. Anyone know what's under K2-SO's elbow? I don't think I've ever seen that part before...
  18. I'm not sure this will really be a problem
  19. You shouldn't care. What they wrote was perfectly comprehensible if you even remotely understand English
  20. Actually yeah you're right, it'd require a silly amount lmao
  21. Bit of a shame it isn't in the iconic orange and green Renown livery
  22. Y'know, sir actually would be REALLY interested in a motorized pneumatic excavator with motorized drive and slew. Gimme gearboxes and pneumatics pls, not boring direct drive functions
  23. Given they're electric motors, one would expect them to have permanent magnets inside lol
