  1. Another day, another paper to procrastinate writing.
  2. I try to build on a large coffee table, but more often than not the Lego soon spreads to the floor and my desk, creating a veritable minefield. There's a running joke in my family about "The Lego Squat." Just imagine kids and adults in this position with Lego in their hands: Whenever I build wheeled things or Bionicle I end up playing with them on the floor. But most of my builds are ships, so most of my playing is done on my feet swooshing them around the house.
  3. ^^This. Vakama only made one half of a mask originally, so an unnecessarily convoluted explanation would have to explain the G1/G2 connection. And the connection of alternate dimensions, IMO, never works out well. Just look at Marvel and DC comics (unless it's Secret Wars. Then it's very good), and the mess that is a lot of stuff in the later part of G1.
  4. The direct-to-DVD sequel of The Fly, The Fly Takes on Nazis, with Jeff Goldblum returning in the titular role.
  5. So who's gonna be the first to photoshop the two halves together?
  6. Whoa! The Vahi! An airship! "The mask is composed of two halves"... I'm dying! Edit: Here you go, Kalhiki!
  7. Oh wow. There's almost too much detail to take in!
  8. IMO, the Ferris wheel is a slightly better display piece, but the Mixer is better besides that.
  9. Catchy title song? Hmmm... Skyfall?
  10. fluorescent,
  11. Any Bionicle animal.
  12. Park Meadows. A very interesting piece is in the PaB wall there: 59349 http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=59349&idColor=85#T=P&C=85 in white.
  13. Aren't retail exclusive sets only retail-exclusive in the US? Meaning that to most of the world, retail-exclusives are just regular sets? Meaning that the lack of new molds in previous retail-exclusive sets is just an accident?
  14. PAB! by Junior Shark, on Flickr One hurried large cup.
  15. IMO, the darker trans blue wouldn't look as "glowy" or "lit-up" as the lighter blue. Think if TLG used the darker trans-green for green lightsabers. It would just be a bit dull compared to the light trans. The darker colors would convey more solidity than energy. Again, this is all IMO. One more IMO for the road: I personally think the lighter trans-blue is more accurate as well. Edit: On second thought, the dark blue is more accurate to the Prequels & TFA, and the light blue is more accurate to the OT, IMO. But keep in mind that lightsabers are white blades with colored auras, meaning they're more light than not. Personally, I would go for it because of the Imperial. But that's just me.
  16. +1. A green A-Wing is awesome, but we've already had a green A-Wing in a set. Blue coloring would have been waaay more awesome, IMO. That poster is for the Lego Star Wars App "Force Builder", which is non-canonical. Minifigures do look really good.
  17. Funny story. Good entry.
  18. 75136 Droid Escape Pod and a second Rebel Alliance BP. Cramming for the SoNE episode!
