I finished this build tonight (and loved it, took me some 10 hours I guess) and the functions mostly seems to work fine for me. Mostly, because the crane arm falls down instead of slowly moving down. Is this common? -
Thanks Milan! I did enjoy it and I literally finished it 10 minutes ago. What an impressive build! Love it :-)

I'm curious for The Starlight Inn and The Secret Market Place and hope these make nice display sets along the lines of An Unexpected Gathering.

Hi Sir Wolf, from a fellow newbie! I'm thinking of also buying the EV3 so I can build a robot to chase my cat about.

Hello Eurobricks! I joined a couple of days ago but I have been following these forums for some years now. I can't exactly remember what brought me back from the so-called dark age, but at some point I got interested in Lego again and was amazed by the evolution of Lego sets and by the MOC's people created. The first sets I bought since then where some Indiana Jones sets and Cafe Corner, the latter which I since then have sold (yes, I know...) When the Architecture series came about I really started to collect Lego sets, more specifically the New York City models, since... hey... New York City is the greatest city on Earth! My collection slowly grew, buying some Ideas sets as well. But I was really bitten when I saw the press release for the Temple of Airjitzu. What an amazing set. It was a day one purchase for me and it really threw me back into this hobby. A few days ago I also started building Technic models, finishing the 24 Hours Race Car last week (I love WEC and Le Mans) and currently am building the Arocs. I'm taking it really slowly, since I want to enjoy the build as being a mayor part of the hobby. My name by the way reflects my favorite number.

Who else here is into all sorts of themes?
6ix replied to Blondie-Wan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I haven't bought that many sets since I started collecting Lego again. At the moment I've got 18, covering different themes. I buy sets that appeal to me and I don't follow just one theme. I have the New York City Architecture sets (I love New York), some Ideas and Hobbit sets, the three big Expert cars and when I saw the press release of the Temple of Airjitzu, I wanted to get that one just for how awesome it looked. I recently turned to Technic with the 24 Hours Race Car (I love WEC and Le Mans) and currently am building the Arocs. I'm planning on buying the Winter Village Toy Shop and also want to buy Jasmine's Exotic Palace. -
Which set is the one you enjoyed building the most?
6ix replied to BlackVagrant's topic in Community
I also like all the small details, like the chickens, the rat, the fallen leafs, the hidden stuff (the chests and the stuff in the books), the furniture and other items inside the buildings and so on... Also, the overal model is awesome as display model, a very nice diorama, with fantastic color combinations. -

I don't think you're allowed to embed preliminary images. Better put a link to that picture instead. I like the production model better, though, especially the front/nose section. -

From the sets I bought since I returned from my dark age, I'd say the Temple of Airjitzu. -

Turns out you are right. I just read a reference to someone named Uwe in the 24 Hours Race Car general discussion thread. I searched this name on Bing (no, I don't use Google) and found this link: http://www.lego.com/...echnic-pit-pass Edit: By the way, seems a LMP1 car from Lego was long overdue since the most successful Le Mans driver is Danish -
Lego themes that we would like to happen
6ix replied to YellowCorvette's topic in General LEGO Discussion
A minifig fairy tale, fable and 1001 Nights theme could be cool and would have a lot of inspirational sources to draw from, lots of stories involving some sort of conflict.- 451 replies

[REVIEW] 42039 - 24 Hours Race Car

The designer video shows Markus Kossman and Milan Reindl. Did they, or one of them also design the 24 Hours Race Car or did they just present the video? -

I also bought this set today and started the build tonight. I'm still at the number 1 bags, taking it really slow, enjoying the build and learning the mechanics involved. Before starting the 24 Hours Race Car earlier this week and now this set, I didn't know so much building went just into the structure. -

Thank you, Vectormatic. I'm also thinking of modding it, maybe even buy a second set to do so and keep this one in it's original form. I haven't decided yet, though. Jay Psi, I don't know. The model is of a generic LMP1 and I doubt the fin itself carries any license. But the car doesn't really need the fin, just need to keep it away from any Ferrari 458 to prevent it from flipping -

Thanks Jim. I think the whole front/nose section and especially the front wing look much better than in the preliminary picture. It looks much sleeker and faster. The one thing I wished Lego had kept on this model is the vertical stabilizer, but without it the model still looks great. -

Thank you for your great review. After coming out of my dark age and starting to collect and build Lego sets again, I decides to give Technic a try. I was aware of this set and I'm a big WEC / Le Mans fan. I was also aware of the negative feedback on this set based on the preliminary picture and the final model, but still was thinking of buying it. After reading your review and watching Jangbrick's review (awesome channel by the way) and Sariel's, I decide to buy the set and so did two days ago. I completed it this evening and I really love the model. It's HUGE! I enjoyed the build and like the functions. Tomorrow I am going to fit the power functions to it. Anyway, just a thank you from a new member.
