Heroica RPG - Quest #90: A Trip to the Circus
Darkdragon replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
"We have a long way to go for the next show, it's much cooler to travel in these hours, and less people stopping us trying to get free shows." -
*rubs arm* Ok, here we go. 1. The Dragon of course! What?! It's a dino? Eh, close enough. 2. Mostlly interested in weapons and war of alll eras. 3. Playing, Hosting, Dying, you know...the usual 4. Being proven right by my death and watching as even then nobody listens to what i said. Favorite is the same as most often happens, right? 5. Always. Lost your phone?

I think it really depends on the size of your collection. For my own, I've always kept torsos separate from legs. I've had to sort printed legs away from non-printed as well. The reason I like to sort everything separately, even when I didn't have much, was because that helps (me at least) to be more creative instead of "well this legs goes with this torso because that's the way it's always been". I find searching through separately gives me more ideas on what can work together.

I dunno man, I'd have to call you the copycat since I've been using the two-stud leg-to-plate connection for minifigs for many years. I like the house side design, it's pretty cool. Uses quite a lot of parts, but so many possibilities with that (damage, color, etc).

"We are not all warriors, these Nords are professionals, better to slip out than to be killed or all of us captured." Turning to Boris. "Is your group packed up and ready to go? We should all be prepared for a fight in case we can't slip out as simply as we hope. If everyone is ready, let's head to the gate" -

"[That's a good plan, Purpearl. How about Dreyrugr and Boris go to fetch him, do you want to go too or do you think that's too many? Should be fine with 3. The rest of us can wait here on guard and help or appear to help the group pack up to go. Perhaps our packing up will distract the other guards enough.]" -

Acceptable Voting Format - Vote: Character (Player) Acceptable Unvoting Format - Unvote: Character (Player) For those of you who might be a little slow, that is: The word Vote or Unvote followed by a colon then a space and the name of the character then another space and the name of the player in parenthesis. Then you highlight the whole thing and press the B in the toolbar above to turn it bold. Here's a list of some past EB Mafia roles and some explanation on each: Handbook -

Hats! Modified parts to make new hats
Darkdragon replied to Darkdragon's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Ah ok. Well no I didn't glue anything, much simpler and more painful than that. The girl's hat is from the Panda and I mostly just have cut but also recolored to resemble brown fur. Here are the pictures of the unmodified versions of the headgear. You venture out from the dark depths of technic into the deepest darkness of parts modification. I hope you brought a safety rope! -

Can't see what exactly? The sides of the headgear are unmodified, not sure what you're trying to see. -
Turning some of the animal costume headgear into animal hats. It might seem crazy, but there are reasons. Brown Bear (from Panda) and Bunny (from...Bunny)

Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity to seize everything you ever wanted. One moment. Would you capture it or just let it slip?

Darkdragon replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
"[so far so good. We'll get up just before daybreak and take care of everything.]" Cinna answers Boris in a hushed tone and then awakens Purpearl and Dreyrugr and speaks to them in the same quite whisper. "[Time for second watch. Wake us just before daybreak, be sure to watch for the guard to enter the jail building, wake us then or as you see him heading there.]" With that she gets some much needed shuteye. -

Most people use a layer of foil under. It's even in one of the tutorials here and I've seen it mentioned in various sculpting tutorials in books and online. Oil could probably work but it might damage the material at some point (depending on material and curing style, i'd imagine), of course the lego is safe though it might be difficult to clean off completely.

Surprised by Baradock's words, Cinna looks around at the team and circus. "I don't see anyone but ourselves. How much of the Nord's mead did you borrow?" Addressing the group as s whole and speaking in hused tones, she continues. "If we time it right, I think we can do the grab and get out while the guard is away. It seems he is gone for an hour on his rounds before checking back in. Will we have difficulty leaving, as we did entering? It would be simple to hide him in a wagon, I'd think. Probably we should do it in the morning and then it wouldn't seem so strange when we leave. The building Purpearl and I checked out was loaded with barrels of weapons, it would not be wise to try and fight these men." -

"Glad to hear you'll be joining the fun. " Cinna heads toward the door with the Viking following. -
The ads are different for everyone (somewhat) based on what you've been browsing. If you don't believe me go play around on Amazon for a while and look at some products before coming back here, you'll see ads with similar items and possibly even one for Amazon after you refresh EB. It works like those Google ads in Gmail. So...it's not Eurobricks that is interested in adult games...

Easy Glover - because I bought some gloves and then was killed for it in Sandy's mafia/bloodbath/rpg Heroica special event. From that scummy Shadows.

Ragnarök Now Redux - Conclusion
Darkdragon replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
When the town block is being led fully by the scum team, these things happen. Hinck knew my suspicions and was just waiting for me to declare it in thread so he could get me lynched (through corney of course because he knew i'd turn up town). Once the town leader trusts the scum team, it really is rather hopeless. There was absolutely nothing I could do to save myself by that point and as I figured would happen, nobody cared really about my list or the fact i turned up town. Nobody bothered to look at my reasoning or even think "oh hey maybe we should look into this". What's funny, or sad, depending on how you look at it is the fact that I stayed quiet because i get lynched when i speak (no matter what i say) and so it was this time. Exactly as predicted. I tried to do as much as i could behind the scenes before it happened but that did no good at all. There's always next time. -

While the Nords are busy watching the real circus troupe, Cinna takes the moment to slip away and join the other heroes again. She talks in a hushed tone. "I'm a bit worn out of performing, has the orc been found?" She listens to the other recount what has progressed so far. "Right, so we just need to wait for the guard to leave the holding cell and sneak him out. I'll go with Purpearl look for a back way, perhaps a sewer to the sea? If we find nothing, we'll have to figure out a way to get back to through the gate with the troupe and orc before the guard comes around again. I'm thinking that possibly Borris's shapeshifting ability could help in some way with that."
