  1. Interesting idea here. I like the way you built the roof and the small scenes inside. For the next challenge, if you can plan out your idea earlier then you'll have time enough to order the color parts you really want. Unfortunately I think the greens you used have distracted from the build itself because it's just too much bright colors for a tree trunk. The ball area at the top is interesting, do you have any closer photo of that area?
  2. The architecutre style is really nice here. The windows look great! I love your fluffy little sheep.
  3. Very nice creation, I really love the presentation too. Every photo is so full of action/life/story.
  4. When selling a figure under the Minifig category, you need to send everything in the inventory listing for that minifig, in the condition you listed (new/used). If you are missing a part from the inventory, state that in your item description When You List It not after it's purchased. For the minifig in question you should send: Torso Assembly, Head, Helmet, Legs Assembly. As listed http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?M=sw201 Nope. What I do is put the quantity I want in the comments/remarks on my wanted list. This way I can see it in the stores even if they only have 1 and need 20.
  5. Battle Order Bartholomew Cinna Hoptet Thormanil Thothwick Cinna: Attacing Red Dawn from back row.

  7. "yes of course!" (order updated)
  8. I like what you did with the food stalls/vendors. Some clever ways of displaying the foods and such. I like the guy with the hat, cracked me up - is he stealing an apple?
  9. Nice design here. I like the colors pattern on the tower and the layout of the gate area. The layout outside with the trees and path look really nice; not barren but also not too cluttered.
  10. Battle Order Bartholomew Cinna Hoptet Thormanil Thothwick Cinna: Drinking a potion from back row.
  11. So much greatness with this one. If I had to pick a favorite part, it would be the design of the embassy building itself or that little building on the top left (from the front view). I am so much impressed by the amount of nice stuff you managed to fit in the 48x48, astounding. Loving the little scenese you set up, they are full of life.
  12. I like the way you build the tree into the side and used the panels to give a nice angle to the building. The scene you set up with the figures is really nice too
  13. I noticed this too. Also an index of historica mocs that was here yesterday, I can't seem to find at all today (it was locked but it was here).
  14. This looks great. It's hard to tell from the photo, but how big is each panel? The figures look great and true to the comic!
  15. Nice job on managing a build with what you had available. I like how you have people actually building working on the scene. It makes it look a lot more like a planned event instead of an "i ran out of bricks"
  16. Thank you everyone for the comments. It's appreciated. My family is doing ok, just a lot to take care of.
  17. You can remove the gray paint with a bit of Brasso or use a Mr.Clean Magic Eraser (in the cleaning products isle of your local grocery store).
  18. I missed this party I call for a repeat!
  19. I have submitted a Migardian Embassy in Nocturnus. (pic is link) Here is some good info and "standards" on microscale building for folks that like "rules" http://twinlug.com/micropolis-micro-city-standard/ Of course it will have to be adapted to be historical not modern city.
  20. I use LDD on my Macbook Pro without any issues. I had a 2007 (2GB ram) model and the recent update to LDD was making it work very slowly (1-2 seconds to load each brick preview image, random beach balling, etc), but my new machine runs LDD like a champ (4GB ram).
  21. I suggest not skimping on the sound. You don't want to put months of time into animating just to have your film ruined by horrible sound. Buy some professional sound effects and you will be very happy. You can create great fireworks effects using built-in tools in VFX tools such as Apple Motion and Adobe After Effects. Fireworks are very basic compared to many other effects (they are just color particle emmitter, no big deal). I recommend getting your sound from Digital Juice http://www.digitaljuice.com/products/product_lines.asp?plid=156 For voice acting, you can conscript some voice actors but don't let your friends do it (unless they are professional voice actors). Again, don't let your film be ruined by bad sound. If you can't afford to do this, just write a script that doesn't rely on voice acting and instead works through visuals and sound effects to tell the story. If all this sounds like a lot of money/work/difficulty then maybe you are right in thinking you should do it as a comic. The great thing about a comic is that you can use it later as a storyboard when you have more money/time/skill to create the actual animation.
  22. Using the large trans-clear panels works really well for semi-permanent display. I have moved to using the pre-fab cases though because they are easier to get my figs in/out and I can hang them on the wall. This one runs $18-23 at Toys R Us, $20 at Wal*Mart
  23. "That was bad, I think it would be best if everyone is available to fight so I agree that we should use the Pheonix Essense. " Battle Order Bartholomew Hoptet Cinna Thormanil Thothwick (if concious) Cinna: attacking Red Dawn with Darkness from back row.
  24. That doesn't necessarily mean it won't become a real product - many of the ThinkGeek April Fools day jokes have become very popular actual products.
  25. The Lost Chapel was discovered deep in the marshland of Nocturnus by the Wolftracks Company of Mitgardia. It appears to be a long lost and forgotten small castle or chapel. It is built of stone on top of a rocky plateau. The Wolftracks company has been working diligently to restore the building to useable nature and we still have a little more work to complete. The roof still leaks and there are still some rats in the cave under the floor, but we wanted to present the building to our guild as we have managed to make it livable. There was so much damage to the bell tower that we had to chop down some nearby trees to repair it. We also used the wood from the trees to create the dock and walkway. There are still parts of the original walkway, but the swamp trees have been working hard to take over. We left as much of the natural area as possible when repairing the building. When traveling through the swamp, we hope all Migardians will take some time to stop by and perhaps bring us some fresh water. We have a mage constantly working on barrels of swamp water, ridding it of toxins so that it is safe for us to drink. She is very good, but nothing beat a goblet of fresh Mitgardian snow water! More photos on Flickr I'm sorry about the low-quality photography. I ran out of time due to a death in the family that happened today and threw off my whole day today.
