[pid][/pid]218B Lighthouses crop up a lot in the pirates theme, but it's not so common to see a whole little scene built up for it. Instead of just having a stone building on a rock island, BardJaskier has created a great little scene here with some surprising details and a very nice lighthouse too! The bird's nest is my favorite detail in this MOC. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]

Fun scene! I love the staging of the figs, very eventful. Great use of the modified tiles for the road, don't think I've seen them used that way before and it really works well.

Hi SheepEater. Please try to stay on the topic at hand. This thread is only asking for tips/ideas on how to make a clone set into a model using LEGO elements, not discusing whether the sets are worthy of such an honor. If you'd like to discuss the merits of Mega Bloks sets, please do so in the dedicated Mega Bloks Discussion thread. Thanks! Nothing's impossible! Some sets will be more difficult than others and may take some real thinking on how to use parts that aren't purpose-molded.

Heroica RPG - Quest #27: Badger Badger Badger

"Oh yes, that would be helpful. Interesting black tablet you have there. Reminds me of my Timetracker." He pulls out a small round, flat, black stone and touches the face. White numbers shimmer into view. "It appears to be quite late, half past ten already. No wonder I'm feeling so sleepy. I guess that gives you almost a whole twenty-four hours to get back to the docks. You should be able to make it, though we are pretty far from water out here." -

The time face is black. No numbers show up at all. Tesni recals it has not chimed since the ship. -

"Thank you my dear. I will not try something so tricky again, if Heroica Hall will let me post some day for another adventure group. The ship, I believe, departs at midnight but they stop boarding passengers around ten at night." -
In my experiance laser printed looks better for these sorts of fine-line details. Inkjet printers are better for photos and other things with millions of colors. Using photo paper and glue will probably not look good, because that paper will be thicker and with the glue could get messy. You could give it a try though if you have these things at home already. I suggest going with glossy white stickers, make sure to check the "weight" of the paper on the front of the package. Heavier means thicker, thicker means it will not curve well (like if you use it for a head) and it will be more noticeably a sticker when you apply it on any part.

I really admire that level of dedication and planning, Zepher.

That's a great one.

"Very well. Excellent choices, I must say." He walks over to the statues and pulls off the Dragon Bone armor, Boots of Evasion, and Etheral Cloak. Handing the requested item to each Hero in turn, with a deep sadness in his eyes. When he stands in front of Bocaj, he has nothing to hand him. "And what of you my friend? You risked your life here in my home, what can I do for you to replay this debt?" "I'm no hero, so I sure won't take any of those wonderful artifacts from you. Just promise me you won't be raizing an army of badgers?" "Umm..no I will not be having any badger armies. I don't know what posessed me to think that was the ultimate plan, I will be heading off to see Monk Ramain shortly and figure this all out. I am sorry to have put you into danger Bocaj, truly." Walking back to the party, he addresses Tesni. "I do thank you for your service. Gathering the boxes was the final step for a journey that took me all over the world for many years. I was driven to complete it, and now I feel empty. I will talk to my shaman though, and hopefully that will answer some questions. There is no way I would try to take over the land, I'm an old man and I love my community. Though I must appologize again for trying to wriggle out of your reward, I will miss those artifacts dearly but you have all earned them." "I suppose, this is the end for us. Began will give you your gold when you return his borrowed items back in Eubric. Oh, one more thing, here are the tickets for the ship back. Remember to get there on time." Agreed. Maybe one of Sandy's game battle intro images or one from the Hall...something like that.

That's kinda a strange question since the link goes to shop@home and specifically states that it is for LEGO's 80th birthday. -
I was totally ripped off selling that witches talisman months ago.

Heroica RPG - Quest #27: Badger Badger Badger
Darkdragon replied to Darkdragon's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Thank you very for helping me, possibly saving my life today. You were promised some artifacts and so you shall get them." He walks over to the small statues at the back wall, motioning the Heroes to follow him. "These are my precious artifacts. Each statues has three, as you can see. I am afraid some of them are just too dear to me to even offer, but I will let you each pick one from what I'm about to show you." He walks to each statue in turn, pointing at an artifact and explaining it's use. The party does notice that he skips over a couple of them and does not mention what they are for or even name them. The list is fairly long though, and each hero is given a chance to walk up and inspect the artifacts before selecting one to keep. I love the way you did the iMac setups! The whole building has a very nice clean look to it and excellent details inside.
