  1. If we're going to get a Lantern Batman, I'd rather see the Darkest Knight Batman, since he was a Lantern for the entire story, not just a couple of panels.
  2. The main difference is that they fit into real world positions (for the most part). People can relate to them and therefore they'd want to buy them. I think an obscure profession is more likely to sell a minifig than an obscure DC character nobody has heard of. I'm a DC fan, but haven't been able to keep up with the recent goings-on in the comics (if you told me we were getting a human Green Lantern, I would assume Hal Jordan, John Stewart or Guy Gardner). So far I'm not seeing characters that I absolutely must have. I'll buy the full set for the sake of completion, but I'm hoping that the majority of the wave are more mainstream than Metamorpho. I was expecting something more along the lines of what we saw in the Harry Potter CMF series. They had the full range of main characters, supported by some side characters. So for DC I would expect the main members of the Justice League and Crime Syndicate as a bare minimum.
  3. I see what you mean. But I don't think that would be considered game changing in the way that has been implied. That would be more of a modification of the old buildable figure system, which seems like it wasn't very successful. As much as I understand the need for FalconFan to be vague, I do wish we had more detail about what this will entail.
  4. Why would it need to be replaced with another restaurant? It could just retire and be replaced with a new set with a totally different theme.
  5. Nothing besides posting some images of Lego Batman on social media, it seems.
  6. I'm not sure I know what you mean. How would Lego produce a Hot Toys scale statue, when Hot Toys are known for intricately detailed sculpts and Lego is known for blocks. Intricately detailed 1/6 figures is pretty much the last thing Lego is capable of producing.
  7. It's in the email they sent about the VIP launch. As for cashing in points, I would do it on my phone in-store while queuing.
  8. I have no idea what you're on about. Stark only caused the creation of: War Monger Whiplash Killan Ultron Vulture Tinkerer Shocker Mysterio Klaue (to a certain extent) provided some of the resources Loki required to bring the Chitauri to Earth and had a hand in the disbanding of the Avengers after he tried to kill Bucky. There's plenty of life left in that trope.
  9. From what I understand, he's going to be a Judge Dredd style character who is never seen without his helmet. It makes sense that we wouldn't have a printed head for him. Tbh I prefer it when the head allows the minifig to look better with the helmet on. For example, the old Stormtroopers that had a black head which completed the look from the back.
  10. The wheels were only for a limited number of the set. I can't remember how many were produced, but it was only a small number per store as a novelty for the launch.
  11. They more likely just looked up the rank insignia on Wookiepedia and chose one they hadn't used before. Like you said, they don't care too much if it's been seen on screen, but they do tend to try and be accurate at least.
  12. The Falcon certainly had more appeal in terms of it being "the ship" from Star Wars and not just being a big grey triangle, but the Star Destroyer is iconic. It set the scene for the whole trilogy in the opening of A New Hope. Personally, I would go for a Star Destroyer over the Falcon for my own preference of ship (if I had anywhere to put either of them). However, as a display piece for guests to look at I think the Falcon would draw more interest. I don't think it will sell the same numbers as the Falcon, partially due to it not being quite as popular and partially due to people who have already got the Falcon not having space for the ISD as well, but it will still be a big seller.
  13. I'm confused. What does 76118 have to do with this?
  14. It's more a blend of several Batmobiles than a purely original design. The Tumbler was the second UCS Batmobile
  15. Pretty much. I was hoping for the same size, but updated to get more accurate shaping and new greebling. It would sit nicely on top of a Kallax, with just a bit of overhang.
  16. I have to disagree. Sure, bigger produces a better spectacle, but the average consumer has limits to the space they can use to display something like this. I understand that nobody wants a UCS Star Destroyer to be the size of the UCS Snowspeeder or Y-Wing. That wouldn't be big enough to convey it. But being over a metre long makes it impractical for most people. The length of the Saturn V rocket is the perfect length for something like this, I think. It's long enough to be impressive, but still small enough to display using IKEA furniture which it seems most people use for their collections.
  17. Apparently "Bosco" was a very early working title for Far From Home, so people referred to the suit as such. I only found out recently and spent a long time completely baffled by people calling it that. I figured "Red and Black Suit" was good enough as a name.
  18. I guess that's what I get for not bothering to read the email. Definitely a surprise, but likely because they know they've overstretched on the price and want to have good day 1 sales. I hadn't thought about using cashback systems. I typically buy in person from the Lego store. Thanks for the tip.
  19. I've been out of the loop on DC for a little while. Do we have any more news on what the D2C is?
  20. It also has a lot of large pieces. Size in Lego isn't just about piece count, either.
  21. Where did you say that? You're only getting an additional £32.50 as a result of double points. The other £32.50 you'd get whenever you buy it.
  22. Internally it'll be totally different. The old one was largely held together using magnets, which are no longer in production. Externally, much of it is a smooth surface, but it looks like the detailing on the neck has been updated.
  23. It looks amazing, but I feel like we're getting shafted in the UK by the price being the same as the Falcon. I assume it's Lego adjusting for the assumed plummet in the value of the pound, which sucks. I really want this set but don't think I can justify £650 for it.
  24. That's clearly visible in the image. I was referring to hidden features.
  25. From what's been mentioned over on Facebook, the hanger is the only interior feature. Apparently there is something in there, the vague clues given suggest a TIE fighter (or squadron of tiny TIE fighters). There could be more, but they've been frustratingly limited with the information they're willing to give out.
