  3. I fit 9 in a small Pick-A-Brick cup, and filled in around them afterwards. Yes, these were the newer horses. It was important that they were, the bending at the hips really helped to maximize space. This was months ago, at a LEGO Store outside of Atlanta.
  4. That's fantastic news! It still looks a bit off because of the girly style of printing in the minidoll line, but it works!
  5. Awesome. He looks like an Ash Attacker with his helmet off!
  6. I love that it comes with Ash Attacker. Great torso and legs, and increased availability is helpful.

  9. They had the brown horses on the Pick-A-Brick wall for a bit last year. Managed to get a good few of them. But yeah, I'm looking forward to the year we get "scads" of them. Hopefully they will give a nice variety of colors and prints.
  10. The set is as I expected, no really desirable characters besides Ahsoka. Sato is a nice addition, but I guess he's not popular enough to be a main selling point. Dual molding and arm and leg printing should become standards. Now that their technology has evolved, it looks odd to get this level of detail on some minifigures but not others who could clearly use it. I doubt it would increase the prices of sets by that much, but it would be worth the extra money to get a more accurate minifigure.

  13. I'm glad people are having fun with it, but I don't like Pick-A-Model. If it was separate from the Pick-A-Brick wall, I would like it better. I feel like it usually just takes up space on the wall with pieces that I'm not as interested in. Occasionally, there are some nice pieces that come through the Pick-A-Model selection, but overall I find it to be more limiting. Maybe I'm alone in this, though.

  15. Hmmm... I thought it was Tek Nicks. And Kree Ae Der. Does pronunciation ultimately matter? No. But when I hear someone say it differently from how I say it, I can't help but feel somewhat smugly superior (with a hint of "Have I been saying it wrong this whole time? Nah, couldn't be."). Cassul. Pie Rits. Spayse. Reminds me of this and .
  16. I didn't say that one was more desirable than the other, just that if both are desirable, then one alone wouldn't be the main selling point. Most of the other characters I see mentioned would be even more desirable than Sato, so I think they're even less likely (from the little information we have).

  18. 1) Describe how you achieved membership and how you make use of the VIP program today. I was asked by a LEGO Store employee if I would like to join, so I did. I use the VIP program to get VIP points on purchases. 2) What is the key benefits the LEGO VIP program provide for mature LEGO users such as yourself? For me, the key benefit of the VIP program is the VIP points. 3) How does the VIP program influence your LEGO experiences, such as the LEGO sets and themes you are interested in? The VIP program does not influence which sets and themes I buy. It only influences when I buy, which is usually during double points promotions. 4) Brainstorm ideas related to additional experiences mature LEGO VIP members would like access to. a) An increase in the overall value of points would be great. The standard is equal to a discount of 5%, and double points is equal to 10%. Other retailers have better incentives. For example, while Toys R Us tends to have higher prices in general, they frequently offer 20% off coupons that make the prices better than they are at the LEGO Store (or Shop @ Home) during a double points promotion. Add to that their own points bonus system, and it is rarely more affordable to shop at the LEGO Store. b) For the same reason, perhaps triple or quadruple points promotions would entice more buyers to the official stores. Even an increase in the number of double points promotions would be of great benefit. c) Perhaps VIPs could get coupons a few times a year that can be used at the LEGO Store or online, with percentages in the 20% or higher range. Some could be a percentage off a single set, some could be a percentage off the entire purchase. Purchases made with coupons should still accrue points. Better yet, they should still accrue the original number of points before discounts are applied (for example, a $100 set would be $80 with a 20% coupon, but you would still get 100 points). d) Discounts on calendars. e) Lower limits for polybag giveaways. f) Perhaps a stamp card for Pick-a-Brick cup purchases with a free or discounted cup when completed. The same could work for Collectible Minifigures. Essentially, a "Buy X, get 1 Free" promotion. g) Additional points bonuses on damaged and discounted sets. h) Access to newly released parts in the online Bricks & Pieces store. Applying points to these purchases would be a much better incentive. i) An increased selection of parts from Pick-a-Brick, both in store and online, would be a great improvement. j) A removal of the time limit for point redemption. 5) How would mature VIP members want to be treated as a VIP when they come to the LEGO store, call the contact center and otherwise get into contact with the LEGO Group? As a mature VIP member, I would not expect any special treatment from stores, call centers, or otherwise. I greatly appreciate what the staff does in general, and especially to rectify issues in the most polite and timely manner. When I do experience an issue, it would be nice to receive a little something extra as a small token of apology for the error.
