  1. I don't get why the Top Gear has an XL motor and this thing is bigger yet has a L motor for drive.
  2. Uwe Wabra worked on this set. Why does he always get to do the cool things?
  3. At 0:11, we can see that the drive train for the engine is right in front of the rear wheels. The axle with the LBG connector is the steer axle.
  4. Isn't it ironic that the original blue has less Technic panels available than the dark blue and the dark azure blue, despite being around for longer.
  5. Rear axle is projected to be LBG on driver's side and is non-LBG on the other side. This claim about rear axle color is disputed. Learn more about how 42123 is safe and secure.
  6. What a bummer!! This is probably because the rear wheels use fat tires and rims (43.2 x 22 tires). Does the real car have bigger rear wheels?
  7. New color in the McLaren. - Panel #5 and #6 in blue - Connector pin hole and 2 axle head in blue
  8. McLaren's official photos are out! Check the dedicated thread.
  9. It has scissor doors. Another difference between the prelim model and the final one is that in the prelim model, the LBG small panel on the hood is connected to one 4L liftarm, and then one 3L liftarm, while in the final model they are connected to two 3L liftarms.
  10. There are some differences between the box model and the preliminary model: - The HOG steering on the roof is no longer there. - The LBG section that has the Richard Mille sticker is built with the new middle section of 21 and 22 panel, but in the real model that part is built with system part. - The section in front of the front mudguards is LBG in the prelim model, but blue in the box model - The part behind the roof is built with system part in the prelim model, but with Technic part in the box model.
  11. aaaaand it's printed. Unfortunately.
  12. I stumbled upon the ads for these custom models on AliExpress. They look really good. If I hadnt known in advance they are custom design I would have thought they were Lego MOCS. I do wish to see official small Technic models like this. Given that TLG has never released a Technic steamroller, I've always wondered how they are gonna provide the design solution for the rolling cylinder in the front. The custom steam roller may provide a potential approach.
  13. The red-white color scheme with a black nose turns out to be quite realistic and accurate. https://travelforaircraft.wordpress.com/2015/08/31/v-22-osprey-walkaround-write/
  14. Where's the engine placed in the real car? Is the engine in the front or in the back? According to the leak picture, there doesn't seem to be any place for it in the front or under the hood. If the engine's in the back and the differential's in the back then there's no need for the drive axle that long. I think the axle is a 6L. Together with the two 2L connectors on both ends and the 20z gear and a frame, the length of the drive train is 10L. The endpoint of that axle will be between the two seats already.
  15. 830 pieces. 49.99 EUR. Available on Jan 1st. Go nuts.
  16. Associated with tractor = cool. 42054 -> cool Tractor tyres -> cool 42070 -> cool 42081 -> cool 42099 -> cool Jeep -> cool
  17. It was available in VN, and I did have it. I think it was back in 2002 or 2003 something. That set was a real wonder to me back then. I dont have it anymore though, and I no longer like it. I'm all about studless Technic models now.
  18. If anything this thread shows even more convincingly why B model shouldnt be provided sometimes. While I do feel disappointed about the reduction, I also feel that the parts of a model should be best used for the sole purpose of constructing that one type of model. In the cases listed in this thread no B model is actually better than a dismal one. It's like being in a romantic relationship. Being in a good relationship is arguably being single, but being single is certainly better being in a bad relationship.
